Meyers Leonard (shoulder) made his Summer League debut on Tuesday, scoring seven points with zero rebounds, assists or blocks in 21 minutes.
Leonard also committed seven fouls and admitted afterward that he's out of shape. "My legs definitely felt really sluggish, and my lungs were burning," Leonard said. "I haven't done anything for a week as far as full-court contact and all that kind of stuff." He should be back up to speed before long, but faces stiff competition for playing time with Chris Kaman coming off the Blazers' bench behind Robin Lopez.

Fri May 16 201416:21Meyers Leoanrd will play in summer league
Meyers Leonard said he will play in Las Vegas Summer League in July.
A lot of his teammates praised the young big man, but he still played just 8.9 minutes per game in his second season. Robin Lopez exceeded almost all expectations, so Leonard will need a miracle to get minutes in the teens to start the season.

Sat Mar 1 201420:23Meyers Leonard will return from ankle issue
Meyers Leonard (ankle) will return from an ankle injury to play in Saturday night's game vs. the Nuggets.
He's been out for five games due to an ankle sprain and the timing couldn't have been worse for Leonard. His time in the sidelines coincided with LaMarcus Aldridge's time off, so he would have been way more involved in the rotation. He's not guaranteed to play tonight.

Fri Feb 28 201415:28Meyers Leonard (ankle) will have an update
The Blazers will update Meyers Leonard (ankle) on Saturday.
He was expected to miss 2-3 weeks back on Feb. 18, so the team should have an idea if he'll be able to return soon. LaMarcus Aldridge (groin) has a good chance to be back on Saturday, so Leonard probably won't have much of an impact upon his return.

Meyers Leonard (ankle) will not travel for Tuesday's game against the Nuggets.
He has missed the last three games with his left ankle sprain and is expected to miss at least one more week. Leonard has lost playing time to Joel Freeman, so Thomas Robinson's game on Sunday probably won't help his case for minutes either.

Thu Feb 13 201412:03Meyers Leonard receives praise from coach
Meyers Leonard received praise from coach Terry Stotts after his eight point, four rebound performance in Wednesday's loss to the Clippers.
Leonard played 13 minutes during the loss as he filled in for the injured Joel Freeland, who will miss the next four-to-eight weeks. "I was very pleased with Meyers," Stotts said. "He contributed in a way that kept him on the court. We went with a kind of shooting lineup, and he finished his opportunities. I thought he was good defensively. He battled. We were a plus when he was on the court." Leonard should see some extra playing time with Freeland out, but remains more of a deep league option for the time being.

Sun Dec 22 201310:44Meyers Leonard solid in 10 minutes
Meyers Leonard earned qualified praise from coach Terry Stotts after scoring two points and grabbing four rebounds in 10 minutes on Saturday.
"He did what we needed him to do," Stotts said. "He still needs to rebound better, but I was pleased with the way he played." Leonard's rebound rate has actually improved to 16.4 percent this season, which puts him just behind guys like Pau Gasol, Carlos Boozer and Anderson Varejao, so the Blazers are seeing some progress from Leonard. For what it's worth, starting center Robin Lopez has a rebound rate of just 15.1 percent.

Mon Nov 18 201311:43Meyers Leonard joins POR for Monday's game
As expected, Meyers Leonard (gastroenteritis) has joined the Blazers in Brooklyn for Monday's game.
He should be in uniform, even if he's regaining his strength after a nasty illness. It's good news for the Blazers but has no impact for fantasy owners given his marginal role behind Robin Lopez and Joel Freeland.

Fri Nov 15 201311:52Meyers Leonard to miss a couple more games
Blazers reserve center Meyers Leonard (gastroenteritis) did not make the trip to Boston for Friday's game.
