Mon Mar 10 201419:31Henson dealing with shooting wrist issue
John Henson is dealing with a right (shooting) wrist injury but otherwise attributes most of his recent struggles to playing out of position at center.
"Playing the five (center) is a little different full time," Henson said. "Obviously that's tougher for me on both ends of the court. Hopefully, we can get Larry back as soon as possible so I can slide back over." We wouldn't be surprised if his ankle was also an issue, but banging against the bigger bodies at center probably isn't helping his cause, either. Henson showed small signs of life on Friday with 12 and six to go with 23 minutes at, you guessed it, power forward. He's backing up Zaza Pachulia at center tonight.

Sat Mar 8 201400:21Henson finally does something for owners
John Henson showed small signs of life in Friday's loss, scoring 12 points on 6-of-9 shooting with six rebounds and two blocks over 23 minutes in a start at power forward for Ersan Ilyasova (suspension).
Henson's numbers have looked like a guy that is hurt, and a few weeks ago he was talking like a guy that was returning too quickly from his various injuries. This line should be enough to give him an add if he was dropped, since a healthy and productive Henson can be a difference-maker for fantasy squads.

Fri Mar 7 201417:09John Henson will start vs. Pelicans
John Henson will start at power forward against the Pelicans on Friday.
Since the acquisition of Jeff Adrien, Henson has been a shell of himself. In those six games, he has a pathetic defensive rebounding rate of just 14.5 percent in that span, which is less than half of Adrien's 33.3 percent in that span. His blocks have also dropped to just 0.7 per game during those outings and has ugly percentages of 42.1 percent from the field and 25.0 percent from the charity stripe. Tonight is a huge game for Henson and he'll have to do it against Anthony Davis.

Thu Mar 6 201401:54John Henson still not doing anything for MIL
John Henson had another lackluster game against the Kings on Wednesday with six points, seven boards, one assist and three fouls in 24 minutes.
He hasn't topped 26 minutes in any of his last six games and his block totals have also evaporated, averaging just 0.7 per game in that span. Henson can't make free throws and he's shot just 41.9 percent from the field in his last five for 6.0 points per game, so his owners have every right to cut him for a hot free agent.

Mon Mar 3 201423:26Henson continues to struggle on Monday
John Henson's struggles continued on Monday against the Jazz, as he scored six points on 3-of-7 shooting with seven rebounds and no steals or blocks in 16 foul-plagued minutes.
Henson has played through injuries this season and also recently and it wouldn't be surprising to see an injury report come through the pipeline. He has enough upside to be considered a high-level stash even while he's struggling.

Sat Mar 1 201423:52John Henson quiet in 26 minutes of play
John Henson played 26 minutes but had just six points, four rebounds, three assists and a block on 2-of-5 shooting.
The minutes were fine, but the production, as usual, was not. He played 22 minutes and didn't even score on Thursday. Zaza Pachulia is starting and the Bucks played 10 guys at least 15 minutes tonight, which makes for a fantasy nightmare. We like Henson's game, but unless he moves into the starting lineup, he's not going to be worth using on your team.

Thu Feb 27 201421:59John Henson gets a heavy dose of Hibbert
John Henson did not score in 22 minutes against the Pacers on Thursday to go with four boards, two assists and one block.
The Bucks couldn't handle Roy Hibbert tonight and it led to some lackluster efforts from the Bucks centers on both ends. Henson's game is going in the wrong direction and he's shot just 1-of-14 from the line in his last five. He's also averaged just 7.8 points, 6.8 boards and 1.2 blocks in 25.8 minutes in that span. It makes sense to keep him owned in standards leagues for his upside in blocks.

Thu Feb 20 201422:53John Henson plays 25 minutes vs. Nuggets
John Henson played 25 minutes off the bench on Thursday with 12 points, seven boards, two assists and one block.
He started the second half and was fairly active on offense as the main post-up option. The Nuggets do have some of the worst interior defense in the NBA, so this efficient line should come with a grain of salt. Henson is worth owning in all leagues with Larry Sanders (orbital bone) possibly done for the season due to his sky-high upside in blocks.

Wed Feb 19 201401:23John Henson goes for 9-10-2 in return
John Henson had nine points, 10 rebounds and two blocks in Tuesday's return to action from an ankle injury.
With Larry Sanders possibly done for the season, Henson looks like a solid player to own the rest of the way. He wasn't spectacular tonight, but did play 32 minutes and looked good despite some rust. Pick him up.

Tue Feb 18 201418:44Henson, Butler, Mayo all probable for Bucks
John Henson (ankle), Caron Butler (ankle) and O.J. Mayo are all probable and likely to play for the the Bucks on Tuesday against the Magic.
Coach Larry Drew expects each of their minutes to be limited, and the only one we trust of this group is Henson. Start any of them at your own risk.

Mon Feb 17 201418:22John Henson back at practice on Monday
John Henson (foot, ankle) was back at practice on Monday for the Bucks.
His foot injury last week kept him out of the first-half finale on Wednesday, but it's good to hear he's back on the practice court. That doesn't necessarily mean he'll be ready to go for Tuesday's game against the Magic and he should be considered probable. Henson should still be owned in all leagues with the injury to Larry Sanders (orbital bone) opening up some major playing time.

Mon Feb 10 201422:10John Henson suffers right ankle injury Monday
John Henson suffered an apparent right ankle injury in the fourth quarter of Monday's game vs. the Celtics.
Oh boy. He landed on teammate Zaza Pachulia's foot and limped to the bench under his own power. The Bucks cannot afford to lose Henson and would be down to just Miroslav Raduljica, Ekpe Udoh and Zaza as their only big men. We'll pass along an update on Henson as soon as it's available. He's likely done for the night with the Bucks being blown out for a change.

Sun Feb 9 201400:33John Henson gets loose for 14-10-4
John Henson started for Ersan Ilyasova (back) and had 14 points, 10 rebounds and four blocks in 41 minutes on Saturday.
Larry Sanders left the game with blurred vision and the constantly banged up Bucks kept the injury ball rolling tonight. Henson has been less than impressive this season, but came through with a solid line tonight. And as long as Sanders and Ilyasova are banged up, he's nearly a must-start player.

Sat Feb 8 201419:04John Henson starts w/ Larry Sanders for Bucks
John Henson will start alongside Larry Sanders for the Bucks on Saturday, with Ersan Ilyasova (back) unavailable.
This is the frontcourt pairing most Bucks fans have been clamoring to see, and at the very least Milwaukee will have no lack of rim protection. The two big men have shared the court for a total of 67 minutes all season long, so we'll be keeping a close eye on how they fare vs. Dwight Howard the Rockets tonight.

Thu Feb 6 201402:41John Henson quiet in return for Bucks
John Henson returned from his wrist injury on Wednesday but hit just 1-of-5 shots for two points, five rebounds and one block in 17 minutes.
Baby steps, right? Ersan Ilyasova left early with back pain tonight, which could mean solid minutes for Henson if Ilyasova will miss time. And even if he doesn't, Henson is going to continue to see an increase in minutes as he gets back into game shape after sitting out his previous three games. Henson may not be a must-own player at this point, but if he can stay healthy he could pay off down the line.

Wed Feb 5 201414:00John Henson (wrist) ready to go vs. Denver
John Henson (wrist) went through Wednesday's shootaround and is officially ready to return vs. the Nuggets.
He was already expected to play and his serves as confirmation, so feel free to insert him into active lineups. Henson is expected to come off the bench behind Ersan Ilyasova and Larry Sanders, but he has enough upside to be a solid fantasy option even if coach Larry Drew limits his playing time.

Tue Feb 4 201415:01John Henson (wrist) likely to play Wednesday
John Henson (wrist) practiced on Tuesday and he's likely to play vs. the Nuggets on Wednesday.
Henson declared himself probable to return to action in Denver, but owners should still double-check his status following the Bucks' shootaround. There's a good chance he'll come off the bench behind Larry Sanders and Ersan Ilyasova, and Zaza Pachulia's return creates another hurdle for frontcourt minutes, but Henson has too much upside to be unowned now that he's healthy.

Mon Feb 3 201418:25John Henson, Mayo and Udoh all still out
John Henson (wrist), O.J. Mayo (illness) and Ekpe Udoh (ankle) will not play on Monday night against the Knicks.
Henson has a sprained right wrist and there is no timetable on his return. The team has not revealed any information on an MRI or any sort of tests, so he could miss even more time. He should be considered questionable for Wednesday's game against the Nuggets. Larry Sanders is finally getting it going and should be in all lineups while he's going well.
