Tue Nov 25 201423:06Henson (foot) won't play in Wednesday's game
Henson (foot) won't play in Wednesday's game, Fox Sports Wisconsin's Andrew Gruman reports.
He suffered a left foot sprain in Tuesday's game and his absence Wednesday will mean Zaza Pachulia will be the lone backup center behind Larry Sanders. Consider Henson questionable for Friday's game in Detroit.
Tue Nov 25 201421:03John Henson: Out With Sprained Foot
Henson (ankle) suffered a sprained left foot and will not return to Tuesday's game, Fox Sports Wisconsin's Andrew Gruman reports.
He briefly seemed to have passed Zaza Pachulia on the depth chart, as he was the first big off the bench for the Bucks on Tuesday, but he should now be considered questionable for Wednesday's game.
Tue Nov 25 201420:46Henson suffered ankle/foot injury Tuesday
Henson suffered an ankle/foot injury Tuesday, and limped off the court, Fox Sports Wisconsin's Andrew Gruman reports.
He replaced Zaza Pachulia as the first big off the bench Tuesday, but suffered an injury after contesting a shot midway through the second quarter. We will update his status when the team provides further details.

Henson recorded one rebound in nine minutes against the Pacers Tuesday night.
It is time to drop Henson in most formats. It would be one thing if Henson lost minutes because some other member (or members) of the Bucks' frontcourt was having a great night, but that's not what happened here. Starters Ersan Ilyasova and Larry Sanders shot a combined 2-15. Fellow reserve center Zaza Pachulia was merely mediocre, scoring nine points (4-7 FG, 1-2 FT). Yet, as poorly as Ilyasova, Sanders, and Pachulia were playing, Henson saw only nine minutes of action. Henson's shot blocking ability may be exciting, but it is irrelevant while he is on the bench. Pick him up quickly if any of those other three big men get injured, but until then it is hard to justify owning him.

Henson had six points (3-7 FG, 0-2 FT), seven rebounds, and six blocks in 21 minutes in the win over Philadelphia on Friday.
Perhaps Henson earned more playing time with his production in limited minutes. He provides much more defense than starters Khris Middleton and rookie Jabari Parker, but he has never been able to break into starter's minutes unless other players get injured.
Mon Oct 20 201423:27Henson scored 11 points (5-6 FG, 1-4 FT) with 10 rebounds in 27 ...
Henson scored 11 points (5-6 FG, 1-4 FT) with 10 rebounds in 27 minutes during Monday's preseason win over the Knicks.
With both Larry Sanders and Zaza Pachulia nursing injuries, Henson saw starter's minutes and produced solid numbers. Both other Bucks centers could be ready for the beginning of the regular season though, so don't look for Henson to maintain this kind of workload next week.
Mon Jun 23 201411:31John Henson available for a trade
John Henson is available to be traded by the Bucks this offseason, according to the Racine Journal Times.
The Bucks know they are in the midst of a major rebuilding project after their 2013 offseason was one of the worst in recent memory. Henson has some talent and his length has really made him a plus rebounder and shot blocker, but he's not a franchise-type big man.

Sat Apr 12 201401:52Henson posts decent line in 30 minutes
John Henson scored 15 points on 7-of-9 shooting with six rebounds and two steals in Friday's win.
Henson logged 30 minutes off the bench but there is no guarantee that Larry Drew lets him loose, even at this late stage of the season. He's a high-risk, high-reward pickup right now.

Sat Mar 29 201423:53John Henson double-doubles vs. Heat
John Henson logged 30 minutes vs. the Heat on Saturday with 12 points, 10 boards, two assists and two steals.
He didn't block any shots and missed both free throw attempts. Henson's two misses dropped him below 50 percent from the line on the year and also below 1.0 blocks per game in March. He's a not doing enough for his owners right now.

Thu Mar 27 201423:02John Henson scores 10 vs. Lakers
John Henson scored 10 points vs. the Lakers on Thursday with seven boards, one assist, two steals and one block in 26 minutes.
There is some added opportunity for Henson here, but coach Larry Drew hasn't really been comfortable playing Henson significant minutes. The good news is he did play 36 minutes back on Mar. 16, so it's certainly possible he can stay above 30. On the down side, he isn't blocking shots like he used to and he shot just 32.6 percent from the line in his previous 19 games since the break.

Fri Mar 21 201401:39John Henson scores 13 points in 22 minutes
John Henson came off the bench against the Warriors and put up 13 points, six boards, one assist, one steal and one block in 22 minutes.
He shot 3-of-6 from the line, which has really been a sore subject. Henson is just 4-of-12 from the line in his last four games and only has two blocks, so the cons are outweighing the pros these days. While he did lead the NBA in blocks back in December, that was a long time ago. Fantasy owners can look at other guys instead of the 23-year-old Tarheel.

Wed Mar 19 201401:25John Henson plays just 16 minutes in loss
John Henson played just 16 minutes off the bench in Tuesday's overtime loss to Portland.
He had six points and one rebound, and as long as he's not starting for the Bucks, he shouldn't be starting for your fantasy team, either. However, on nights when Ersan Ilyasova is getting a rest, Henson might be worth a plug-and-play.

Sun Mar 16 201415:56John Henson still not blocking shots
John Henson was busy on offense against the Bobcats on Sunday with 15 shots from the field, making just six of them for 12 points with seven boards and three assists in 36 minutes.
It's the most playing time he's received since Feb. 10 after averaging just 23.8 minutes per game in his previous 10 games. Henson's stats don't look very appealing to fantasy owners in tat stretch, averaging 9.2 points, 6.2 boards, 1.3 assists, 1.0 blocks and 0.3 steals on 57.6 percent from the field and 50.0 percent from the line. That said, his uptick in minutes today might be enough to pick him up in some formats even though Ersan Ilyasova (ankle) did not play.

Sun Mar 16 201412:00John Henson will start on Sunday vs. Bobcats
John Henson will start in place of injured Ersan Ilyasova (ankle) for Sunday's game vs. the Bobcats.
Henson really hasn't done much lately, averaging just 9.2 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 1.0 block, in 23 minutes through nine games in March. Perhaps the injury to Ersan will allow Henson to get into 30 minute territory, but it's anyone's guess with Larry Drew at the helm. Still, Henson makes for an interesting plug-and-play on Sunday as he's averaged 12.4 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 2.2 blocks as the starting power forward.

Sat Mar 15 201415:09John Henson's minutes dip again vs. Knicks
John Henson's playing time dipped for the third straight game on Saturday, as he scored nine points with five rebounds, one steal and three turnovers in 20 minutes.
He came in averaging 1.7 blocks over the Bucks' past five games but didn't have any vs. New York -- the only Bucks player who did block a shot was Giannis Antetokounmpo, who finished with seven points, three boards, two steals, one block in 27 minutes off the bench. Henson is nothing more than a blocks specialist unless his playing time increases.

Thu Mar 13 201422:39John Henson getting it together finally
John Henson was solid against the Hawks on Thursday with 12 points, five boards, two assists, two steals and two blocks in 25 minutes.
He's been in double figures for scoring in each of his last five games while shooting a pristine 67.5 percent from the field. Henson was able to put up averages of 11.2 points, 6.6 boards, 1.6 blocks and 0.4 steals in 25.4 minutes. He's a terrible free throw shooter, but he makes sense as a pickup for those who need blocks.

Wed Mar 12 201400:11John Henson goes for 10 & 8 in loss
John Henson started for the Bucks with Ersan Ilyasova out with an ankle injury, finishing with 10 points, eight rebounds and two blocks on 5-of-8 shooting in 32 minutes.
There's no word on how long Ilyasova will be out, but Henson's value obviously increases with Ilyasova in street clothes.

Tue Mar 11 201418:51John Henson starting w/ Ersan Ilyasova out
John Henson will start for the Bucks on Tuesday with Ersan Ilysova (ankle) unavailable.
Henson has been quiet in March but the prospect of a starting job, even temporarily, is music to his owners' ears -- in 21 starts he's averaged 13.6 points, 8.6 rebounds and 2.0 blocks this season. Just keep in mind that Ilyasova could return as soon as Thursday's game vs. the Hawks, at which point Henson may shift straight back to the bench.

Tue Mar 11 201400:55Henson goes for 10 and eight in 30 minutes
John Henson logged 30 minutes off the bench on Monday, scoring 10 points on 5-of-9 shooting with eight rebounds and zero steals and blocks.
Henson backed up the center position again and between that and various injuries the entire dynamic of his game has changed. It speaks to problems with putting players in different spots on the court every night if you're Larry Drew, and for fantasy owners it makes Henson a high-profile stash that has provided a somewhat serviceable floor over the last two games.
