Copeland scored 21 points (7-16 FG, 6-11 3Pt, 1-3 FT) with six rebounds and four assists in 34 minutes in the loss to Atlanta on Saturday. |
Copeland has been a nice offensive presence off the Pacer bench and has now hit 10 3-pointers through three games. With Rodney Stuckey (foot) ailing, Copeland should continue to see plenty of playing time and should be added for 3-pointers. |

Copeland contributed 16 points (5-14 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 4-4 FT), six rebounds and two assists in 31 minutes during the Pacers' 97-89 loss versus the Grizzlies on Friday. |
Once again Copeland played more minutes than starter Solomon Hill, who contributed five points and three rebounds in only 17 minutes of action. Copeland has not been shy hoisting from deep, and if he continues to get sufficient time at small forward he could be a decent option in deeper leagues. |
Thu Oct 23 2014 | 10:43 | Copeland 15-33 from beyond arc through five preseason games |
Copeland is 15-for-33 from beyond the arc through five preseason games. |
Copeland even drew the start at small forward in last Tuesday's exhibition contest against the Timberwolves, and has posted efforts of 16, 22 and 17 points over his last three games. With both Rodney Stuckey (foot) and David West (ankle) on the shelf, minutes have been abundant for the third-year player in the 2014 preseason. Although West is expected to return for the opener, Stuckey's status isn't quite as certain, which potentially leaves minutes on the table for a player like Copeland. He's not much more than a flier in deeper leagues at the moment, but could develop into more as he competes to fill the vacancy left by Paul George's season-ending injury. |
Fri Oct 10 2014 | 11:22 | Copeland (knee) will be active for Friday's preseason game |
Copeland (knee) will be active for Friday's preseason game, the Indianapolis Star's Candace Buckner reports. |
He will get some run at small forward, as the Pacers continue to work C.J. Miles and Solomon Hill in at the three as well. This will be Copeland's first action of the preseason. |

Copeland (knee) will not play in Tuesday's preseason game against the Timberwolves, Candace Buckner of the Indianapolis Star reports. |
Copeland is dealing with a sore right knee and is likely being held out as a precaution. The versatile forward is expected to shift to the wing this season and should see an increased role given the absence of Paul George (leg), whose average of 36.2 minutes per game will need to be filled. |
Wed Oct 1 2014 | 18:07 | Copeland preparing to shift to small forward for 2014-15 season |
Copeland is preparing to shift to small forward for the 2014-15 season, Pacers.com reports. |
Copeland found himself buried behind David West and Luis Scola on the depth chart last season, so transitioning from the four to a three after Paul George's injury certainly makes sense. This should allow him to compete for more time on the floor, and will likely result in an increase from his lowly seven minute per game average last season. Pacers' coach Frank Vogel plans on running a 10-man rotation this season, which will open up playing time for a variety of players, with Copeland standing to be one of the main beneficiaries. He's still seemingly unlikely to earn a starting job, but single-digit minutes should soon bee a thing of the past. |
Wed Apr 9 2014 | 23:42 | Chris Copeland scores 18 in 17 minutes |
Chris Copeland came off the bench for the bizarro Pacers on Wednesday and hit 7-of-8 shots and four 3-pointers on his way to a season-high 18 points, two rebounds, three assists and a block in a tough win over the Bucks. |
Copeland has been a non-factor all season and if the Pacers decide to try to beat the Heat on Friday, as they have to, he should return to obscurity. |

Wed Mar 5 2014 | 22:14 | Chris Copeland gets hot off Pacers bench |
Chris Copeland came off the bench to hit three 3-pointers for 11 points and two rebounds in just 12 minutes in Wednesday's blowout loss to the Bobcats. |
He sits on the bench behind David West and Luis Scola, but with the Pacers looking like a high school team tonight, Copeland finally got some run. We'll have to see him do it a couple more times before even putting him on the radar, as we haven't even seen the need to even give him a news blurb since November. |

Mon Nov 18 2013 | 17:35 | Chris Copeland getting work at small forward |
Chris Copeland got some practice reps at small forward on Monday. |
Copeland tends to get a lot of shots when he's on the court with his average of 4.4 points in just 5.4 minutes per game, but he's buried on the depth chart at power forward. He's still not worth adding in almost any league since he basically needs two injuries to other forwards in order to see 20 minutes. |

Sun Nov 10 2013 | 11:28 | Chris Copeland yet to crack Pacers' rotation |
Pacers coach Frank Vogel said that he hasn't been able to "find enough minutes" for Chris Copeland in his rotation. |
That's a severe understatement, as Copeland has only logged four minutes in two games this year, but Vogel expects him to eventually "be a big-time threat." With the Pacers jumping out to a 7-0 start this season, however, we doubt Vogel will alter his gameplan to find minutes for Copeland, whose long-range shooting is offset by his defensive liabilities. |

Tue Oct 29 2013 | 22:24 | Chris Copeland did not play on Tuesday |
Chris Copeland did not play due to a coach's decision in Tuesday night's 97-87 win over the Magic. |
"Right now he's our fifth big," coach Frank Vogel said. The slow start is nothing new for Copeland after playing just 5.3 minutes per game in November 2012. He'll need a forward to miss time to have value in fantasy leagues. |

Sat Oct 19 2013 | 22:16 | Chris Copeland (Achilles) scores 15 points |
Chris Copeland scored 15 points including three 3-pointers in Saturday's win vs. the Cavaliers, and he showed no signs of his recent Achilles injury. |
Copeland has been fully cleared for action after knee surgery this summer and his Achilles injury was a minor blip on the radar. He even jacked up 11 three-point attempts tonight, an indication of his fantasy-specialist potential. The biggest hurdle for his fantasy relevance is playing time, as he's stuck in an unpromising backup forward role behind Paul George and David West. |

Wed Oct 16 2013 | 21:59 | Chris Copeland tweaks knee in loss |
Chris Copeland played 29 minutes and hit 3-of-12 shots (3-of-10 from downtown) for 11 points, two rebounds and two assists in Wednesday's loss. |
He appeared to hurt his knee late in the game, but it doesn't sound serious. It is worth monitoring though, as he is coming off left knee surgery, and was just beginning to see meaningful minutes. |

Sat Oct 5 2013 | 21:43 | Chris Copeland (knee) logs three minutes |
Chris Copeland (knee surgery) played only three minutes off the bench during Saturday's preseason opener. |
Copeland's offseason surgery was relatively minor, but he was still in pain in late September and the Pacers have no incentive to play him much before he's totally recovered. He should be ready for the season opener, when he'll serve as reserve depth at PF and (to a lesser extent) SF. |

Wed Oct 2 2013 | 23:26 | Chris Copeland to see most time at PF |
Coach Frank Vogel said Chris Copeland will play forward forward "90 percent of the time." |
Interesting. The Pacers brought on Luis Scola to play behind David West at power forward, so perhaps Scola could be more of a center next to Copeland on the second unit. Copeland didn't have much fantasy value to begin with, but this news casts even more doubt on his minutes with his new team. |

Fri Sep 27 2013 | 15:51 | Chris Copeland still dealing with knee pain |
Chris Copeland said that his knee is not where it needs to be and he's still dealing with pain. |
He said he'll be "ready to rock" for the regular season, but for now he looks like he'll be missing some preseason action. Copeland had his knee scoped last month and mentioned he dealt with knee issues last season. The former Knick will run with the second unit and doesn't have much fantasy value. |

Thu Sep 5 2013 | 22:11 | Chris Copeland's knee is getting better |
Chris Copeland said that his knee is "much improved" and should be able to resume some basketball activities for training camp on September 27. |
"I've been training hard. Everything is good," Copeland said. "It's not 100 percent, but definitely much better than last year." He had his knee scoped on August 2 and remains questionable for camp. Copeland will come off the bench for the Pacers this year and is unlikely to see more than 20 minutes per game while the team is healthy. |

Thu Aug 22 2013 | 17:54 | Chris Copeland played through injury w/ NYK |
Chris Copeland (knee) said that he played through knee discomfort last season. |
"It was something I dealt with but it wasn't a major issue," Copeland said. "Right now, it's the summer time so we just thought it would be good to get it done now so I could go into the season with a fresh start and feeling pain free." He had loose bodies removed from his knee and he's targeting a return around training camp. He'll provide some depth at the end of Indiana's rotation, but has little fantasy value. |

Sun Aug 18 2013 | 15:48 | Chris Copeland (knee) walking and rehabbing |
Chris Copeland (knee) is already walking around and rehabbing from his surgery on August 2. |
It was just a knee scope for Cope and his timetable of 6-8 weeks suggests that he'll be ready for camp at the end of September. Copeland is heading to Los Angles to work on team building with his new teammates. He'll come off the bench and isn't expected to see a major role while the Pacers are near 100 percent health. |

Wed Aug 14 2013 | 21:58 | Chris Copeland feeling great after surgery |
Chris Copeland called his knee surgery nothing more than a "nuisance" and fully expects to be ready by the start of the season. |
He had surgery less than two weeks ago but is already lifting waits and feeling good. "It was more of a nuisance than an actual injury," he said. His return timetable is still 6-8 weeks, so we're hoping he's feeling as good a month from now as he is today. The Pacers are loaded at forward, meaning Copeland will likely be a role player off the bench this season. |
