Wed Apr 9 2014 | 19:02 | Shabazz Muhammad out again on Wed. |
Shabazz Muhammad (knee) will not play on Wednesday. |
The Wolves have a slew of players out and Muhammad is the least likely to make it back this season due to an MCL sprain. He has a lot of work to do in the offseason and hopefully he doesn't get in trouble for hiding girls in his room this summer. |

Mon Apr 7 2014 | 13:58 | Shabazz Muhammad diagnosed w/ sprained MCL |
Shabazz Muhammad (sprained MCL) will not play on Tuesday and coach Rick Adelman suggested he may not return this season. |
Muhammad said previously that he was aiming to return by the end of the week, but the diagnosis of a sprained MCL makes that very unlikely. He has had a quiet rookie season, averaging 3.9 points on 46.0 percent shooting, with 1.4 rebounds in just eight minutes per game. He also spent some time in the D-League, where he notched 24.5 points per game, and we'll be watching closely to see how his game develops this summer. |

Mon Apr 7 2014 | 10:51 | Shabazz Muhammad (knee) aiming play this week |
Shabazz Muhammad (sprained knee) hopes to return by the end of the week. |
There are only nine days left in the season so even if Muhammad is ready to play on Tuesday, which seems unlikely, he'll play a maximum of six more games. With Kevin Martin (heel) and Chase Budinger (ankle) also ailing, the Wolves may be forced to rely on Robbie Hummel and J.J. Barea for the bulk of their production at SG. |

Wed Feb 26 2014 | 00:40 | Shabazz Muhammed scores 20 points |
Shabazz Muhammad hit 8-of-13 shots for a career-high 20 points to go along with six rebounds and two steals in 24 minutes on Tuesday. |
He had scored a total of 13 points over his previous four games, so there's not much to be excited about here. His previous career high was 12 points on Feb. 8, and while he's clearly starting to make an impact with the Wolves, Muhammad is a long way from being someone you want to add to your roster. |

Sat Feb 8 2014 | 23:46 | Shabazz Muhammad scores career-high 12 |
Shabazz Muhammad scored a career-high 12 points against the Blazers on Saturday with two boards and one steal in 17 minutes. |
He doubled his previous career high of six in what was obviously his best game. Muhammad was able to get to the basket tonight and attempted some good shots in a losing effort. However, he did enter tonight with a field goal percentage of 32.1 and is still very raw. The rookie can be left on the wire in almost every single league. |

Mon Jan 13 2014 | 13:00 | Shabazz Muhammad recalled from D-League |
The Timberwolves recalled Shabazz Muhammad from the D-League on Monday. |
Muhammad averaged 24.5 points, 9.8 rebounds and 1.8 assists in four appearances with the Iowa Energy. Wolves president Flip Saunders was pleased with what he saw from the rookie but this may not be Muhammad's last trip to the D-League. "We want to send him down for short stints," Saunders said. "We don't want him to be disconnected with what we are trying to do." |

Fri Jan 10 2014 | 15:08 | Shabazz Muhammad has great NBADL Showcase |
Shabazz Muhammad was named to the All-Showcase Team for the NBA D-League. |
Muhammad joins Pierre Jackson, Mo Charlo, Jarvis Varnado and Romero Osby on the first unit. He was very effective in his two games in Reno, totaling 46 points, and 18 boards in 49 minutes. Muhammad still has a lot of developing to do and only handing out 27 assists in 32 games at UCLA last year will still be a sore subject. He will make it back up to the Wolves at some point, but season totals of just 12 points, eight boards and no assists on 25.0 percent from the field suggest he's a long way from fantasy value. |

Fri Jan 3 2014 | 17:21 | Shabazz Muhammad could go to NBADL |
Shabazz Muhammad could go to the D-League for Sunday's game against the Iowa Energy. |
He's played a grand total of 42 minutes with 12 points on the season, so the move makes sense. Muhammad was an effective scorer at UCLA last year, but he'll have to develop a little before he can earn some consistent playing time. |

Shabazz Muhammad (ankle) will be in uniform for Saturday's game against the Rockets. |
He was expected to play on Friday, but never saw any playing time even though the Wolves thumped the Nets. Muhammad has played just 20 minutes all season and isn't in the rotation right now. |

Fri Nov 22 2013 | 13:50 | Muhammad (ankle) expected to be avail Fri |
Shabazz Muhammad (ankle) is expected to be available against the Nets on Friday. |
Muhammad reportedly showed no signs of his ankle injury during Friday's shootaround and is expected to be available for the first time in five games. Being available and playing are two different things, however, as it is highly unlikely that Muhammad will be anything more than a bench warmer Friday night. The rookie out of UCLA has only played a total of 20 minutes all season and doesn't belong on any fantasy rosters. |

Shabazz Muhammad (right ankle) will not play on Wednesday night. |
This is his fourth consecutive game in street clothes. Robbie Hummel has played very well and has been getting some minutes behind Corey Brewer. |

Tue Nov 19 2013 | 19:03 | Shabazz Muhammad out again on Tuesday |
Shabazz Muhammad will miss another game on Tuesday with a sprained right ankle. |
The rookie resumed practicing on Monday but his ankle still has "tenderness" and the Wolves have no interest in rushing him back given his minuscule role off the bench. |

Mon Nov 18 2013 | 14:39 | Shabazz Muhammad (ankle) back at practice |
Shabazz Muhammad (right ankle) returned to practice on Monday but still isn't 100 percent healthy. |
Rick Adelman said there's "still some tenderness" in Muhammad's ankle, and it's uncertain if he'll be in uniform vs. the Wizards on Tuesday. |

Fri Nov 15 2013 | 19:01 | Shabazz Muhammad might sit with ankle |
Shabazz Muhammad might sit out of Friday's game due to an ankle injury. |
He suffered the injury on Wednesday and it's not considered serious. Muhammad plays just 5.0 minutes per game with the Wolves and this news is more or less irrelevant. |

Thu Oct 3 2013 | 00:03 | Shabazz Muhammad crashing the boards |
Coach Rick Adelman said Shabazz Muhammad has been playing hard in training camp. |
"Young guys, they've got to know they have to play hard and impose their will where their strengths are, and he has been doing that the first two days, Adelman said. "He has played very hard. He has come in and he's competed." He was in the doghouse over the summer for sneaking a woman into his hotel room, so it's nice to see he's able to not bring the off-the-court issues to camp. While Chase Budinger's knee injury does give Muhammad a greater chance for minutes, he'll have to turn in a spectacular October to be a key piece in the rotation to start the season. |

Wed Sep 18 2013 | 13:50 | Saunders: Shabazz Muhammad lighter, fitter |
Shabazz Muhammad has lost weight since Summer League, according to Flip Saunders, and he's in the best shape he's been in all year. |
It's nice to hear some positive news about Shabazz, especially coming from Saunders, who has suggested the rookie might end up in the D-League. Muhammad would need to have a stirring performance during training camp and the preseason for fantasy owners to put him on their draft-day radars. |

Sat Sep 7 2013 | 13:49 | Shabazz Muhammad contrite about infraction |
After he was kicked out of rookie orientation for having a girl in his room, Shabazz Muhammad sent an apologetic letter to Wolves GM Flip Saunders. |
The violation itself wasn't serious, but Saunders said after the incident that Muhammad will end up in the D-League if he doesn't learn to follow rules. It's encouraging that he reached out to apologize, and owner Glen Taylor quickly wrote back to him. "I want to get to know him," Taylor said. "I wrote to him about first impressions." |

Tue Aug 20 2013 | 10:20 | Flip Saunders open to using the D-League |
Flip Saunders said that the Wolves "might not have anyone go down" to the D-League, but he's "very open" to the idea. |
There was talk of the Wolves sending rookie Shabazz Muhammad to the D-League after his episode of sneaking in a female to the Rookie Transition Program, which explains this line of questioning from the Star Tribune. Saunders added that he's a proponent of the D-League, so he didn't exactly shoot down any rumors of the team sending down their first round pick. The expectations should be low for Shabazz. |

Sat Aug 10 2013 | 11:27 | Saunders: Shabazz could end up in D-League |
Timberwolves president Flip Saunders said Shabazz Muhammad needs to learn to follow rules or he'll end up in the D-League this season. |
It's a clear shot across the bow after Muhammad got sent home early from the league's rookie program for breaking the rules. It's good see Saunders is instituting some accountability in the Wolves organization these days and it'll be interesting to see whether Muhammad falls in line. Muhammad was already looking at a reduced role as a rookie, but this certainly isn't helping his fantasy stock. |
