Wed Feb 6 201323:44Tayshaun Pince scores six points in 30 min.
Tayshaun Prince hit 3-of-9 shots for six points, two rebounds and two assists in 30 minutes on Wednesday.
He played 37 minutes in his previous game for his new team and was much more effective. He's still Tayshaun Prince and is worth keeping a close eye on as long as he's getting 30-plus minutes per game, but is still not a must-own player because of nights like this one.

Tayshaun Prince started and played 37 minutes on Tuesday, finishing with 11 points, six rebounds, four assists and three steals on 5-of-12 shooting.
That's a ton of minutes and even an old guy like Prince has a chance for success if the minutes stay so high. He's not a must-own player, but could be very soon if he keeps getting this kind of run. Keep a close eye on him.

Tue Feb 5 201312:19Tayshaun Prince expected to start Tuesday
Tayshaun Prince is expected to make his debut in the Grizzlies starting lineup on Tuesday against the Suns.
Prince played 32 minutes off the bench in his Grizzlies debut, a number he's likely to hover around again now that he's in a starting role. He scored 14 points on 7-of-11 shooting to go along with a block, and as usual, he's proving that he's largely a one-trick pony in fantasy circles. Owners in standard formats can do better.

Sat Feb 2 201301:06Tayshaun Prince scores 14 in Memphis debut
Tayshaun Prince made his Memphis debut on Friday, scoring 14 points with one rebound, three assists and one block in 32 minutes in a win over Washington.
He came off the bench, but he received plenty of time on the court with the usual starters. Prince should take over as as the starting small forward in due time and it's usually exciting for fantasy owners to grab a new key role player, but his lack of production outside of points is going to limit his value. Owners in standard leagues should be able to do better.

Fri Feb 1 201319:25Grizzlies newbies playing, but not starting
Tayshaun Prince, Ed Davis, and Austin Daye will each play in Friday's game against the Wizards, but none of them will start.
Prince will move into the starting job eventually, but tonight is all about assimilating the new players into the team concept and we wouldn't expect them to play normal minutes. Mike Conley, Jerryd Bayless, Tony Allen, Zach Randolph, and Marc Gasol will start, and if you're looking at Bayless, Allen, or Darrell Arthur, just realize that the new guys will cut into their prior workloads.

Fri Feb 1 201315:09Grizz wouldn't have done deal without Prince
Grizzlies GM Chris Wallace said he would not have pulled the trigger on Wednesday's trade if he didn't get Tayshaun Prince back.
The Grizzlies are apparently high on Prince's all-around offensive game and the upgrade he'll provide on Rudy Gay's defense. Expect him to start at small forward and push for 30 minutes nightly. Fantasy owners should note that Prince was getting 32.4 minutes per game in Detroit, but still managed just 11.7 points, 4.6 rebounds and 2.5 assists. He will be available for Friday's game against the Wizards, as will Ed Davis and Austin Daye.

Fri Feb 1 201311:02Update: Prince, Davis, Daye likely out Friday
Updating a previous item, Tayshaun Prince, Ed Davis and Austin Daye are all likely to be out again for the Grizzlies on Friday.
Because of the complex nature of the trade and other parties of the deal having to pass their physicals, the Grizzlies are looking like they'll be shorthanded once again on Friday. Jerryd Bayless should play big minutes once again, while Tony Allen, Darrell Arthur and Chris Johnson should see an increase in minutes as well.

Fri Feb 1 201307:57Prince, Davis, Daye could all play on Friday
Tayshaun Prince, Ed Davis and Austin Daye have all completed their physicals and could be available to play on Friday.
The other parties involved in the trade have to complete their physicals before the three players can play for Memphis, but the newest Grizzlies are good to go as long as they're cleared to play. Prince should be the starting small forward in Memphis with Austin Daye backing him up, while Ed Davis loses a lot of his appeal seated behind Zach Randolph.

Tayshaun Prince looks like the new starting small forward in Memphis after Rudy Gay was tentatively traded to the Raptors on Wednesday.
Prince looks like a no-brainer to start at small forward for the Grizzlies, and while he was already starting for the Pistons, the change of scenery could work in his favor. He's not a must-own player, but should be watched closely in his first few games for his new team.

Sun Jan 6 201322:58Tayshaun Prince gets hot, scores 21 points
Fresh off a 2-of-12 shooting performance, Tayshaun Prince made 9-of-15 shots on Sunday to finish with 21 points, seven rebounds, three assists. one steal, one block and four turnovers in 42 minutes.
The loss to Charlotte snapped Detroit's five-game win streak, which included wins over the Wizards (twice) and Kings, but also the Heat and Hawks. Prince is playing nearly 32 minutes per game in the past two weeks but his trickle of across-the-board production only gives him late-round appeal in 12-team leagues.
