Tue Jan 8 201321:40Jason Richardson still struggling for Sixers
Jason Richardson was 3-of-9 with zero 3-pointers for six points, one rebound and one steal in Tuesday's blowout loss to the Nets.
Richardson is averaging just 7.8 points and almost nothing else over his last five, while hitting just 39 percent of his shots. Chances are he'll get it turned around at some point, but no one would be mad at his owners if they decided they've had enough.

Sun Jan 6 201300:26Richardson plays just 25 minutes, Wright 31
Jason Richardson played 25 minutes against the Spurs on Saturday and had 11 points, two rebounds, two assists, one steal, one block and two 3-pointers.
It really isn't a bad line, but 25 minutes is a bit alarming, considering this he hasn't played over 30 minutes since December 21. Dorell Wright played poorly and failed to score in 31 minutes, so perhaps J-Rich gets a better chance to succeed next time out. While Richardson isn't a must-own player, we'd still try to hold him for his upside in threes and steals.

Sat Jan 5 201302:47Richardson plays 29 minutes vs. Thunder
Jason Richardson scored nine points on 4-of-10 shooting (including a three) with four rebounds, two assists, and one steal in 29 minutes on Friday against the Thunder.
Richardson is slowly getting his feet underneath him after a back injury, and the 29 minutes might be a sign that he's ready to get back on track. We understand that owners are frustrated, but we'd wait for another game at least to see if he can turn those minutes into production.

Thu Jan 3 201301:18Jason Richardson quiet in loss to Suns
Jason Richardson fizzled against his former team, playing just 19 minutes and finishing with four points and two rebounds on 2-of-4 shooting in Wednesday's loss to the Suns.
Dorell Wright had 14 points and two 3-pointers in 30 minutes, and the timeshare is on in Philly. J-Rich has been terrible in his three games since returning from a back injury, averaging just six points and 2.3 rebounds. We don't trust his health right now, and Wright has hit double digits in scoring in his last two games. Richardson is probably worth hanging onto until he breaks out of the funk, but get him out of your lineup until it happens.

Sun Dec 30 201201:05Jason Richardson (back) limited in return
Jason Richardson (sore lower back) returned from a two-game absence and started at SG on Saturday, but he scored just five points in 22 minutes.
J-Rich has failed to make a 3-pointer in just two games this season (he hit one on Saturday), which alone gives him some fantasy appeal. He wasn't great tonight, to be sure, and we'll watch to see if Nick Young (24 minutes) and Dorell Wright (21 minutes) keep cutting in his minutes, but with season-long mid-round value he's worth hanging onto in most formats.

Sat Dec 29 201205:39Richardson does not play on Friday
Jason Richardson (back) was listed as available for Friday's game but did not play due to coach's decision.
This might actually be good news for his fantasy value as it appeared for a short while that Dorell Wright (eight points, five rebounds) had been moved into the starting lineup with Richardson actually playing. For now, it just looks like Richardson was available for emergency purposes only, and owners should simply hold for the time-being.

Fri Dec 28 201221:53Jason Richardson (back) will play on Friday
Jason Richardson (back) will play on Friday night against the Warriors.
Doug Collins said he will use Richardson off the bench, which is somewhat interesting given how Dorell Wright has played when he gets minutes. Wright has 15.8 points per game with 3.0 triples in his five starts this year. J-Rich owners should give him plenty of leash with his high upside, but certainly keep an eye on this situation.

Fri Dec 28 201221:27Jason Richardson still a game-time decision
Jason Richardson (back) is a game-time decision for Friday's game and Dorell Wright will draw the start.
J-Rich participated in shooting drills on Thursday and the injury isn't considered serious. He's only missed one game with his lower back strain and owners should keep him on their roster for his productivity on triples and steals.

Fri Dec 28 201209:19Jason Richardson uncertain for Friday
Jason Richardson (back) participated in shooting drills on Thursday, but the Sixers won't make a determination on his status for Friday's game until closer to tipoff.
If J-Rich is forced to sit again, Dorell Wright would get another start, and owners should be using Wright while the getting is good. Over his last five games, Wright is averaging 17.6 points, has hit 18 3-pointers and is shooting 47.4 percent from the field.

Tue Dec 25 201223:04Jason Richardson ruled out for Wednesday
Jason Richardson will miss Wednesday's game due to a lower back strain.
Richardson's knees and ankles are always a concern, and you can add his back to the list of ailments to worry about this season. Dorell Wright is going to likely get plenty of run and production tomorrow, and is worth a spot start in all formats.

Sun Dec 23 201217:53J-Rich has an off shooting afternoon
Jason Richardson shot 2-of-10 from the field for five points with five rebounds, one assist and one 3-pointer in 29 minutes against the Nets on Sunday.
He wasn't quite as hot as he was a month ago and he's had single-digit scoring in four of his last seven games. On the bright side, he's averaged 1.6 triples and 1.0 steals during that stretch. He's still worth owning in all leagues.

Fri Dec 21 201221:40Richardson posts 17-8-7 line vs. Hawks
Jason Richardson scored 17 points on 7-of-12 shooting (including three treys) with eight rebounds, seven assists, two steals, and one block in Friday's win over the Hawks.
Go run and check to see if he was dropped after a small cold streak. He's a must-own player and probably a must-start player going forward.

Wed Dec 19 201223:47Jason Richardson scores 11 with one 3
Jason Richardson shot 5-of-10 from the field for 11 points with three rebounds, one assist, one steal and one 3-pointer in 31 minutes against the Rockets on Wednesday.
Richardson's shot is not falling right now and he's making just 25 percent of his attempts from beyond the arc in December. He's a career 37.2 percent shooter from deep, so he should snap out of his slump very soon. We still like him as a must-own player.

Wed Dec 19 201209:17Jason Richardson continues to put up value
Jason Richardson is averaging 9.4 points, 4.3 rebounds, 1.9 assists, 1.4 steals and 1.2 treys through nine December games.
Although Richardson has cooled off in December and is shooting just 34.4 percent from the floor, he remains a must-own player in 12-team formats. His versatility brings owners production across the board, and on the season, he's averaging 11.5 points, 4.2 rebounds, 1.4 assists, 1.6 steals, 0.6 blocks and 2.0 treys. Stick with him.

Tue Dec 18 201223:58Jason Richardson scores 11 in loss
Jason Richardson hit 5-of-14 shots and a 3-pointer for 11 points, six rebounds, four assists and three steals in Tuesday's loss, the fourth straight for the Sixers.
Richardson has been struggling but played better tonight. He likely saw some extra minutes with Jrue Holiday out again with a foot injury, and is still worth holding in deeper leagues, as long as he's starting for the Sixers. Evan Turner stayed hot filling in at point guard with 17 points, five rebounds, five assists, a steal, a block and three 3-pointers in the loss.

Fri Dec 14 201223:01Richardson struggles on Friday vs. Pacers
Jason Richardson hit just 1-of-6 shots in Friday's loss, scoring three points with two rebounds and one assist in 20 minutes.
Richardson has had a few small cold streaks this season and bounced back each time, and with mid-round value on the season owners should remain patient for now.

Mon Dec 10 201222:35Jason Richardson hits two 3s, scores 13
Jason Richardson scored 13 points, grabbed seven rebounds and made two 3-pointers against the Pistons on Monday.
Tonight was just the second game on the year where he failed to have a steal. He's one of only a handful of players to average at least 4.0 steals and 3-pointers combined. He's on his way to a nice season as long as he can stay healthy.

Sat Dec 8 201222:30Jason Richardson plays 28 minutes
Jason Richardson had eight points, three rebounds, one steal and two 3-pointers against the Celtics on Saturday.
J-Rich came in without a triple in his last two games, so hitting two was a sight for sore eyes. He played 28 minutes tonight, which is his lowest total for a game where he was healthy. He's been putting up mid-round value this year.

Sat Dec 8 201201:55Jason Richardson scores 13, steals five
Jason Richardson had a season-high five steals with 13 points, three rebounds and three assists in a 95-94 win over the Celtics on Friday.
This was his second game in a row where he failed to knock down a 3-pointer, but he's still making 2.3 from downtown on the year. He is still returning mid-round value even though he missed five games earlier this year. He'll continue to put up big numbers as long as he's healthy.
