Stoudemire (knee) scored 14 points (6-9 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT) to go along with six rebounds, one assist and one block in 21 minutes Monday against the Pelicans.
Stoudemire was able to put up a decent line considering his limited minutes off of the bench Monday. Stoudemire has the ability to put up the occasional excellent stat line, but his injuries and limited playing time hamper his fantasy value.
Mon Jan 19 201516:05Stoudemire (knee) will play Monday against New Orleans
Stoudemire (knee) will play Monday against New Orleans, Steve Popper of The Record reports.
Stoudemire got the start in London on Thursday after missing nine straight games, but he was limited to just eight minutes. He'll come off the bench Monday and will likely again be faced with a minutes restriction. Lou Amundson and Jason Smith will join Carmelo Anthony in the starting frontcourt.

Stoudemire (knee) was given the start at center in his return to action Thursday but played just eight minutes.
Stoudemire missed nine straight games with knee soreness, and it's unclear what his status will be going forward. The Knicks don't play again until Monday, but relying on Stourdemire is a losing bet right now, especially if he's only playing limited minutes. Consider him questionable for Monday.

Stoudemire (knee) will play in Thursday afternoon's game against the Bucks, Sports Illustrated reports.
Barring a setback in shootaround, Stoudemire, who was considered questionable all week, will return to the court after missing the last nine games with a nagging knee issue. The veteran sat out New York's last matchup against Milwaukee but put up 14 points, five rebounds and four assists in 24 minutes when the teams first met back on Nov. 18.

Stoudemire (knee) is questionable for Thursday's game in London against the Bucks.
The Knicks hope to have both Stoudemire and Carmelo Anthony (knee), but neither player's presence is a sure thing. Stoudemire has missed nine consecutive games and 11 of the last 12, and he may come down to a game-time decision. Talk of potentially shutting Anthony down for the season has dominated headlines, but the Knicks might eventually consider the same thing with Stoudemire, if his knee does not improve with rest.
Sat Jan 10 201513:42Stoudemire (knee) could resume practicing next week
Stoudemire (knee) could resume practicing next week, Newsday reports.
Stoudemire has been on the shelf since playing Christmas Day as he continues to deal with lingering knee complications. If he does begin practicing at full speed next week, a return to game action against the Bucks on Thursday would certainly be possible.

Stoudemire (knee) is out for Thursday's game against the Rockets.

Stoudemire (knee) will not play Wednesday against the Wizards and will likely remain out for the rest of the week, Ian Begley of ESPN New York reports.
Stoudemire has already missed six games in a row due to soreness in his knee, and he appears likely to miss at least three additional contests. Coach Derek Fisher did not commit 100 percent to holding Stoudemire out Thursday (Houston) and Saturday (Charlotte), but he noted that he hopes to have the forward back for the Knicks' game in London next Thursday, so the implication is that he'll remain out for the remainder of the week. With Carmelo Anthony and Andrea Bargnani also out, the Knicks will continue to lean heavily on Jason Smith, Cole Aldrich and Quincy Acy in the frontcourt.
Sun Jan 4 201518:02Stoudemire (knee) ruled out for Sunday's game against Milwaukee
Stoudemire (knee) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against Milwaukee.
Stoudemire will miss his fifth straight game with soreness in his surgically repaired left knee. The team hasn't provided much in the way of a return timetable, though Stoudemire is generally considered to be day-to-day. Cole Aldrich and Quincy Acy will start in the frontcourt Sunday, and deem Stoudemire optimistically questionable to play Monday in Memphis.

Stoudemire (rest) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Clippers, Chris Herring of the Wall Street Journal reports.
Stoudemire has already missed four of the last five games as the Knicks are making a concerted effort to curb his minutes in an attempt to avoid even more wear and tear on his ailing knees. When asked if he'd return for Friday's game in Detroit, Stoudemire said "we'll see" and noted that long flights aren't good for his knees, so at this point he appears doubtful.
Sun Dec 28 201420:24Amar'e Stoudemire: (Rest) To Sit Out Sunday
Stoudemire (rest) is officially out for Sunday's game against the Trail Blazers.
Stoudemire has continued to receive rest days every once in awhile throughout the season and he'll have his second game in a row off on Sunday. Coach Derek Fisher wants to increase his rest days moving forward, so he may see more as the season goes on. Jason Smith will most likely see extra minutes with Stoudemire's absence. He should be back for the Knicks' next game.
Sun Dec 28 201414:18Stoudemire (rest) doubtful for Sunday's game against Blazers
Stoudemire (rest) is doubtful for Sunday's game against the Blazers, Newsday's Al Lannazzone reports.
Stoudemire did not play Saturday, and appears likely to sit for his second straight game. The Knicks appear committed to getting the big man with lingering knee issues some extra rest, and is prospective absence in back-to-back games is a direct result of that. Look for Jason Smith to see extra minutes while this pattern continues.
Sat Dec 27 201412:31Stoudemire will not play Saturday against Kings
Stoudemire will not play Saturday against the Kings, Al Iannazzone of Newsday reports.
Coach Derek Fisher recently expressed that he hopes to get Stoudemire increased rest going forward, and he's acting on that immediately, resting the veteran forward in Sacramento with the team in the midst of a three-games-in-four-nights slate. Stoudemire played 22 minutes against the Wizards on Christmas Day and will likely return to action Sunday in Portland. In the meantime, with Quincy Acy suspended, Travis Wear and Jason Smith should see increased time.
Fri Dec 26 201410:33Stoudemire will likely see more rest going forward
Stoudemire will likely see more rest going forward, the New York Post reports.
Stoudemire, who sat out the Knicks' previous two games before playing 21 minutes Thursday, has remained healthy this season, missing only three contests while playing over 26 minutes per game. While that's been a pleasant surprise, coach Derek Fisher acknowledged that the heavier workload is beginning to take its toll on the forward. "When his minutes jumped up the past few weeks, his recovery was tougher for him," Fisher said. "Get himself back to being able to give the output he can. The last few days a little bit of soreness, nothing crazy, but just enough for us to be really smart with his history. He wants to get out there. I think we have to help him. We still have 50 games to go." Stoudemire, himself, even admitted that he'll likely work in more recovery days over the season's final 50 games, indicating that he's shooting to play between 68-70 games. That likely means he'll miss one half of certain back-to-back sets, and Fisher also said he'll consider reducing Stoudemire's minutes.

Stoudemire, after taking two games off to rest, returned to the starting lineup Thursday against the Wizards, scoring six points and grabbing seven rebounds in 22 minutes.
Stoudemire didn't play at all during the Knick's road trip over the weekend, and was pretty unimpressive in this Christmas day matchup. Prior to his rest weekend, though, the 32-year-old had scored double-digit points in four straight games and is averaging 14.8 points and 1.9 blocks in December. He could be worth using in most leagues to help pick up blocks in category leagues, and has improved his scoring numbers over last year.
Thu Dec 25 201411:18Stoudemire (rest) listed in starting lineup for Thursday's game ...
Stoudemire (rest) is listed in the starting lineup for Thursday's game against the Wizards, MSG Network reports.
As expected, coach Derek Fisher cleared Stoudemire to suit up after he had a full week to rest up. Stoudemire has been a viable fantasy option from the center spot on the occasions he's been able to play this season, posting averages of 13.4 points, 7.4 rebounds and 1.1 blocks while shooting 56.4 percent from the field over about 27 minutes per night.
Thu Dec 25 201410:52Stoudemire (rest) officially being considered game-time decision...
Stoudemire (rest) is officially being considered a game-time decision for Thursday's game against the Wizards.
All indications Wednesday suggested Stoudemire was on track to play Thursday, and that will likely still be the case barring any unforeseen sluggishness during warmups. Stoudemire previously sat out both ends of the Knicks' back-to-back set last weekend, but with a full week of rest since his previous game, expect the big man to return to the lineup.
