Sat Dec 4 202112:20RJ Barrett Will Play Saturday
New York Knicks forward RJ Barrett (illness) will suit up for Saturday's game against the Denver Nuggets. Luckily, Barrett was only forced to miss one game due to an illness. His return will push Immanuel Quickley to the bench. He should still have some value, but not quite as much anymore. Barrett has been playing well this season and should see an increased workload here. Fantasy managers should make sure he's back in their lineups and he should be a solid option for DFS contests on Saturday.

Thu Dec 2 202118:41RJ Barrett, Nerlens Noel Will Miss Thursday’s Contest
New York Knicks small forward RJ Barrett (illness) and center Nerlens Noel (knee) have both been ruled out for Thursday's game against Chicago. Barrett departed Tuesday's outing after just nine minutes, with his absence Thursday marking his first of the season. Without him on the wing, look for Obi Toppin and Evan Fournier to see elevated offensive duties, while Derrick Rose could also snag more minutes. Noel returns to the sidelines after logging 19 minutes Tuesday following a one-game absence. Without him to backup Mitchell Robinson, expect Taj Gibson to get a handful of added minutes, albeit not enough to merit DFS consideration.

Tue Nov 30 202120:27RJ Barrett Will Not Return To Tuesday’s Game
New York Knicks small forward RJ Barrett (illness) will not be available to check back in during Tuesday's contest against Brooklyn due to an illness. Barrett was questionable to play coming into the day before being cleared, but his symptoms appear not to have subsided after logging nine minutes in the first half. In that stretch, Barrett collected four points, four rebounds, and one assist. The immediate beneficiaries are likely to be Derrick Rose and Immanuel Quickley, who could log additional second-half minutes, but a prolonged absence would funnel more offensive usage in the direction of Alec Burks and Evan Fournier. Barrett's next chance to suit up comes Thursday vs. the Bulls.

Tue Nov 30 202118:38RJ Barrett, Derrick Rose Cleared To Suit Up Tuesday
New York Knicks small forward RJ Barrett (illness) and shooting guard Derrick Rose (ankle) have been given the green light to take the floor for Tuesday's game against the Nets. Barrett is yet to miss an outing this season, although he has scuffled over his five previous contests to the tune of shooting just 35.2 percent overall. Rose returns to action after a three-game absence due to a sprained ankle, and is set to give New York a much-needed jolt of offensive punch on its second unit. With the backcourt fully healthy, Tuesday will be fantasy managers' first glimpse into how head coach Tom Thibodeau plans on deploying the new-look group with Kemba Walker out of the mix and Alec Burks entrenched as the starting point guard.

Mon Nov 29 202118:29RJ Barrett Picks Up Questionable Tag For Tuesday
New York Knicks small forward RJ Barrett (illness) has been listed as questionable to play in Tuesday's game against Brooklyn due to an illness. Barrett joins fellow backcourt mate Derrick Rose (ankle) in the questionable column, throwing some doubt on what New York's rotation could look like if Barrett misses his first game of the season. After an early-season scoring flurry, the 21-year-old has cooled significantly as of late, having shot just 39.1 percent overall during his third professional season. An absence would open up more minutes on the wing for Obi Toppin, while Evan Fournier and Alec Burks would likely see even bigger roles as well. Check back prior to tip-off for the final word on Barrett's status.

Thu Nov 18 202108:09RJ Barrett Shoots Poorly But Has A Decent Night Against Orlando
New York Knicks shooting guard RJ Barrett couldn't hit anything from deep against Orlando on Wednesday but managed to record a good 17-9-5 line in a 104-98 loss. He ended up 0-for-7 from downtown and shot 7-for-19 overall from the floor with three turnovers in 34 minutes. This month has been really rough for Barrett, as he's shooting only 36 percent from the field and has gone eight consecutive games shooting 40 percent or worse. The Knicks rotation can be a mess at times and this clearly doesn't help Barrett. With that said, the 21-year-old is in a perfect spot to kick into gear again on Saturday when the Rockets visit the Big Apple. It's a very good pace-up spot for the Knicks against one of the worst teams in the league.

Tue Nov 2 202108:10RJ Barrett Continues His Recent Scoring Surge
On Monday, the New York Knicks lost to the Toronto Raptors 113-104, but RJ Barrett's recent scoring burst continued. The 21-year old provided his third 20-plus scoring night in as many games and is putting those early-season concerns behind him. In 39 minutes, Barrett dropped 27 points, six rebounds, a steal, and five three-pointers. He went 9-for-13 from the floor and made five of his eight three-point attempts. In these last three matchups, the former-Duke standout is averaging 27.3 points and giving managers valuable numbers in rebounds, threes, and pumping up his shooting ratios. Currently, he's a top-75 option in category leagues but can rise even higher if the scoring output remains consistent.

Sun Oct 31 202110:10RJ Barrett Drops Career-High 35 Points
New York Knicks guard RJ Barrett enjoyed one of the best games of his young career in Saturday's win over the Pelicans. Barrett was excellent, shooting 12-for-18 from the field and 6 of 8 from beyond the arc while draining 5 of 6 free throws en route to a career-high 35 points, including a late dagger three to secure the win for New York. The third-year pro added eight rebounds and six assists while committing just one turnover in 36 minutes. Barrett appears ready for more responsibility on offense, as he is shooting the ball at the best efficiency of his career while making better decisions than ever with the ball in his hands. He'll get a tough test on Monday against one of the best defensive teams in the league, the Raptors.
