Cincinnati Reds second baseman Jonathan India hit his third leadoff home run of the season during a 7-4 victory over the Pittsburgh Pirates on Thursday. The 24-year-old went 1-for-3 on the night and collected his 52nd walk of the year leading the entire league at the position. India has had a terrific season, posting 12 homers, 46 RBI, 61 runs scored, seven steals, and a .284/.404/.458 line over 334 at-bats, and is a front-runner for National League Rookie of the Year honors. The former fifth overall pick of the 2018 MLB draft will be a hot commodity in most leagues next year, as he is a well-rounded table-setter for one of the league's best lineups.

India ripped a two-run homer off of Minnesota starter Kenta Maeda in the fifth inning to give the Reds a 5-4 lead. Overall, the rookie is putting together a solid season, hitting .279 with 17 doubles, 11 homers, 59 runs, 44 RBI, and seven steals. He has been hot at the plate of late, hitting .317 with four homers, 16 runs, and eight RBI over his past 15 games. India has worked his way into being considered as an everyday starter in fantasy leagues.

Cincinnati Reds second baseman Jonathan India had a big night in a 6-2 win over the New York Mets on Friday. India went 3-for-4 with a double, two homers, three runs, and three RBI in the win. The rookie second baseman hit a leadoff homer on the first pitch of the game and then came back with a two-run shot in the top of the ninth. That goes in the books as the first multi-homer game of India's young career. The infielder is now hitting .281 with 15 doubles, 10 homers, 57 runs, 42 RBI, and seven steals over 313 at-bats. Now firmly established as the team's leadoff hitter, India is a solid infield option in mixed fantasy leagues.
