Darko Milicic (ankle) has been ruled out for Friday against the Mavericks.
The Nikola Pekovic show continues, and it's been an impressive one of late. In six games as a starter this season, Big Pek has averaged 13.2 points, 9.0 rebounds, 0.8 steals and 0.7 blocks on an incredible 63 percent shooting.

Tue Feb 7 201218:48Darko out on Tuesday, Pekovic starting again
Darko Milicic (ankle) will not play in Tuesday's game against the Kings.
Darko now has dealt with an illness, a knee issue and an ankle sprain in the last few weeks. It's nothing out of the ordinary for the oft-injured shot-blocker. Regardless, Nikola Pekovic is pressing hard for the full-time starting center gig and will get another shot to put a stamp on it Tuesday. He's averaging 17.0 points, 10.7 rebounds and 0.3 blocks over the last three games.

Sat Feb 4 201202:19Milicic (knee) starts; but likely loses job
Darko Milicic (knee) started at center on Friday against the Nets, but played just eight minutes on his way to two points and five rebounds.
Milicic probably lost his job to Nikola Pekovic (27 points, 11 rebounds) after being benched for him to start the second half. If you have been relying on Darko, it's officially time to move on.

Fri Feb 3 201218:44Darko Milicic (knee) to start on Friday
Darko Milicic (knee) will start at center on Friday against the Nets.
Due to the recent strong play of Nikola Pekovic (12.2 ppg, 8.8 rpg, 0.4 bpg over his last five games), Milicic was almost moved to the second unit, but will get one more shot to prove that he belongs as the starter. Either way, it looks like Darko will lose minutes to Pekovic going forward.

Thu Feb 2 201215:22Darko Milicic misses practice with knee issue
Darko Milicic missed Thursday's practice due to a knee issue.
Darko appears to be on thin ice as the Wolves' starting center. He's extremely fragile, is consistently in foul trouble and has been outplayed by Nikola Pekovic all year. Milicic is officially questionable for Friday's game against the Nets. Over the last five games, Pekovic is averaging 12.2 points, 9.0 rebounds and 0.4 blocks.

Thu Feb 2 201200:36Darko returns, but Nikola Pekovic plays well
Darko Milicic returned from an illness on Wednesday but had just four points, three boards and a block on 2-of-9 shooting in 18 minutes.
Nikola Pekovic came off the bench for 13 points and 12 boards, and looks like a center worth adding in deeper leagues, despite not starting. He played well with Darko out and while we're not sure David Kahn will allow Darko to be benched, the Wolves would be wise to do so.

Darko Milicic (flu) will start at center in his return to the Wolves' lineup on Wednesday.
Nikola Pekovic has been adequate as a fill-in starter and has certainly earned a solid chunk of playing time, but he hasn't done enough to supplant Darko.

Darko Milicic (flu) said that he'll play on Wednesday despite his dizzy spells persisting.
Nikola Pekovic has been playing very well in Milcic's absence, averaging 11.7 points and 8.7 rebounds in just 24 minutes per game. Prior to getting injured, Milicic was struggling with just 5.9 points and 4.2 rebounds per game, and it wouldn't be surprising to see Pekovic continue to have a larger for the Timberwolves.

Darko Milicic, who missed Friday's game, also missed Saturday's practice due to an illness.
He's expected to be well enough for Sunday's game against the Lakers, but if he's not, Nikola Pekovic would make another start at center.

Fri Jan 27 201220:17Darko out with the flu; Pekovic to start
Darko Milicic was a last-second scratch on Friday night due to the flu, and Nikola Pekovic will start in his place.
This is a nice spot to see if Pekovic can take the step from being intriguing bench player to productive starter. Foul trouble and mobility have been his problems, but he looks a bit quicker this season and he's getting good reviews. There's not enough for an add, but let's see how he does tonight to see if he can cash in on any of the local hype.

Tue Jan 24 201202:06Darko (hip) plays on Monday against HOU
Darko Milicic (hip) played on Monday against the Rockets, and finished with four points on 2-of-7 shooting with three rebounds, one assist, one steal, and one block in 20 minutes.
Darko is only a center option for the desperate, and is going to disappear from night to night and also deal with nagging injuries. Other than that he's awesome.

Sat Jan 21 201203:36Darko! scores season-high 22 points vs. LAC
Darko Milicic scored a season-high 22 points on 10-of-15 shooting with seven rebounds, two assists, and two blocks in 34 minutes on Friday.
Darko! had fallen off the fantasy radar prior to this breakout outing, and while this feels like a fluke owners that need a center almost have to take a flier on him. Otherwise, we'd let him prove himself before considering an add.

Sat Jan 14 201222:01Darko Milicic scoreless and awful on Saturday
Darko Milicic played just 14 minutes on Saturday, his second-lowest total of the season.
Mr. Manna From Heaven was scoreless with as many fouls (four) as rebounds, assists, steals and blocks combined. Enough said.

Mon Dec 26 201123:53Darko scores 12 Monday, but that's it
Darko Milicic had 12 points, three boards and nothing else in Monday's loss to the Thunder.
He should get plenty of run as long as Nikola Pekovic is out with a groin injury, but he just didn't do much tonight. We expect Darko to bounce back in his next game, while Pekovic could miss a couple more weeks with his injury.

Sun Apr 10 201119:20Darko likely done for the season
Darko Milicic (ankle) is expected to be shut down for the season.
It's fitting that Milicic's season ends due to injury. Despite playing some of the best basketball of his career in certain stretches this year, his constant nagging ailments were a headache for owners. He'll likely end the year averaging 8.8 points, 5.2 rebounds and 2.0 blocks per game. Look for Nikola Pekovic to start the final two games at center.

Darko Milicic (ankle) will not play vs. the Nuggets on Saturday.
The season may be over for Darko! He has missed 10 games (so far) with a variety of injuries and never quite returned to his November form, when he averaged 10 points, 6.4 rebounds, 2.4 assists, and 2.8 blocks per game.

Wed Apr 6 201121:46Darko Milicic leaves w/ another ankle sprain
Darko Milicic lasted just 10 minutes before leaving Wednesday's game with another sprained ankle.
He's hurt his ankle nearly as many times this season as he appeared for the Pistons as a rookie, and can be dumped for a healthy option. Anthony Tolliver is playing well for the Wolves, and might be a decent replacement in a deep league.
