Sun Jun 26 201110:18Rockets make trade offer for Andris Biedrins
The Rockets have made multiple trade offers for Warriors center Andris Biedrins, reportedly offering Hasheem Thabeet and/or Jordan Hill.
The Warriors aren't biting on that deal, despite Biedrins' declining play and the $27 million remaining on contract. Kirk Lacob, director of basketball operations, referred to Biedrins as "one of the most agile seven-footers in the world."

Fri Jun 24 201119:27Rockets talking to Warriors about Biedrins
The Rockets reportedly came close to dealing for Warriors center Andris Biedrins, and while the deal fell through, they are continuing talks in the days ahead.
The Rockets were trying to move up to get Bismack Biyombo, but when he was selected by the Bobcats the Rockets stopped talks with the Warriors for the time being, and now they're back up. Daryl Morey is known as a guy to take some chances, but admittedly this is a bit shocking, as Biedrins' contract has been seen as radioactive league-wide for some while.

Thu Jun 16 201109:59Biedrins' health is good
GM Larry Riley said that Andris Biedrins' "overall health is finally good now."
The Warriors insist that Biedrins' back-to-back disappointing years stem at least partially from injuries. A high ankle sprain certainly crippled Biedrins last year, but we're not convinced that's the only problem. The fact is that Biedrins started 55 games last year but averaged just 5.2 points, 7.6 rebounds and 0.9 blocks in those games.

Thu Jun 9 201114:06Biedrins is only C on Warriors' roster
Andris Biedrins is the only true center currently on the Warriors' roster.
Biedrins will be the subject of trade rumors, but he's owed $27 million over the next three seasons -- he's not going anywhere. And if he plays like he has over the last two seasons, he won't be getting many minutes either. Ekpe Udoh is really a power forward, but the Warriors may choose to roll with him over an unproductive Biedrins. Don't chase stats from 2008-09.

Sat Apr 30 201110:29Biedrins to have mental and physical training
In a meeting with Andris Biedrins and his agent on Thursday, Warriors GM Larry Riley outlined a complete physical and mental training program for Biedrins to follow this summer.
Biedrins' confidence was shattered this season and he's been a shell of the player he was when the Warriors inked him to a huge contract -- he's still owed $27 million in the next three seasons. Even if he does return to form, however, Riley feels the Warriors need more size and frontcourt depth.

Andris Biedrins (ankle, personal) is currently not with the team due to the birth of his son in his homeland of Latvia.
He's been away from the team several days now but the reason why has finally been disclosed. It's doubtful that he would be playing even if he were available.

Tue Apr 5 201121:57Biedrins (ankle) out on Tuesday vs. POR
Andris Biedrins (ankle) will not play on Tuesday against the Blazers.
This is no big surprise, and gives another chance at full minutes for Ekpe Udoh. However, use Udoh at your own risk, as he is capable of getting yanked if he gets in over is head on the court.

Sat Apr 2 201122:22Biedrins (ankle) inactive for Saturday
Andris Biedrins (ankle) will not play on Saturday against the Mavs.
The Warriors are probably balancing his health with the chance to either help or hurt his waning confidence as the year winds down. If he's not 100 percent, there's a good chance they'll opt to call it a year.

Fri Apr 1 201116:12Biedrins (ankle) re-evaluated on Saturday
Andris Biedrins (ankle sprain) will be re-evaluated before Saturday's game.
Biedrins has lost his starting job to Ekpe Udoh, he's being outplayed by Louis Amundson on some nights, and he's been in a funk all season due partly to a complete lack of confidence. Better luck next year.

Mon Mar 28 201117:42Biedrins ruled out for Warriors road trip
Andris Biedrins (ankle) has been ruled out for the Warriors' two game road trip.
The only real surprise here is that the Warriors haven't gone ahead and declared him done for the year. With only a few weeks left in the season, plenty of young faces needing the experience and nothing to play for, it makes little sense to hold out hope for Biedrins.

Mon Mar 28 201100:49Biedrins out two more games
Andris Biedrins (ankle) is expected to miss at least two more games.
The Warriors refuse to say that Biedrins in done for the season, but that's the likely scenario. After tonight's win over the Wizards, Golden State only has eight games left to get Ekpe Udoh valuable experience.

Thu Mar 24 201118:47Biedrins out at least two more games
The Warriors announced that Andris Biedrins (ankle) will be out at least two more games.
There were reports last week that Biedrins would be shut down for the season. The Warriors never confirmed that, but it would make sense. Rookie Ekpe Udoh is getting valuable experience right now.

Tue Mar 22 201112:38Nellie says Biedrins cost him his job
Don Nelson said he was fired because he asked Andris Biedrins to shoot free throws underhanded.
Biedrins shot 16 percent from the charity stripe last season and has raised that mark to 32.3 percent without Nellie this season. Underhanded probably was not the worst idea in the world. Regardless, new coach Keith Smart is reportedly already on the hot seat in part due to his apparent disconnect with Steph Curry.

Sun Mar 20 201119:25Warriors to end Andris Biedrins' season
According to team sources, the Golden State Warriors are expected to shut down Andris Biedrins (ankle) for the remainder of the season.
This puts an exclamation point on another disappointing season for Andris Biedrins. With Biedrins gone the front court will be Ekpe Udoh's to manage, though the Warriors may end up being creative with rotating David Lee and Vladimir Radmanovic as well.

Thu Mar 17 201115:50Biedrins (ankle) to miss four-game road trip
Andris Biedrins (ankle) will not travel with the Warriors on their upcoming four-game road trip.
That puts Ekpe Udoh in the middle, but it's unknown whether he'll be able to take over a true starting workload. As it stands right now, Udoh is only an option if you're desperate for blocks, but with Biedrins out of action it's worth watching to see if Udoh can make something of the opportunity.

Thu Mar 17 201110:24Andris Biedrins will be re-evaluated Thursday
Andris Biedrins' sprained left ankle will be evaluated Thursday.
The Warriors provided few details after the game on their starting center, simply saying he could not return to action. At this point, we would be surprised if he played against the Suns on Friday. Backup Ekpe Udoh has averaged 3.5 points, 3.0 rebounds and 1.8 blocks in four starts earlier this season.

Thu Mar 17 201103:04Andris Biedrins leaves with sprained ankle
Andris Biedrins had seven points, eight rebounds and zero blocks before leaving with a sprained ankle in Wednesday's loss to the Mavericks.
This is a shame, as it's one of the first times in recent memory that AB was doing anything. He'll be day-to-day going forward, as he was unable to return to the game. As much as we'd like to tell you that Ekpe Udoh is worth a pickup, he did nothing in his experimental four-game starting stretch over the last couple weeks.

Tue Mar 15 201101:35Biedrins useless despite starting for GSW
Andris Biedrins got torched by Samuel Dalembert and failed to post a single point, rebound or block in Monday's loss to the Kings.
Biedrins is useless, and while it's hard to tell if he's just not very good, or still injured, it doesn't matter. Ekpe Udoh had 10 points, one rebound and one block, but the centers in GSW should be ignored for fantasy purposes.

Sun Mar 13 201123:44Biedrins plays just 12 minutes in win
Andris Biedrins had zero points, six rebounds, four steals and a block in Sunday's win over the Wolves.
Biedrins has started three straight games, but we just can't rely on him for consistent minutes. He hasn't attempted more than two shots in a game in any of his last five games and has just three blocks over that span. The center spot in Golden State is a fantasy wasteland.
