Leon Powe started for injured Anderson Varejao (face) on Saturday, and scored 14 points on 6-of-13 shooting with six rebounds, one assist, two steals, and one block in 33 minutes.
His career has been derailed by injuries, but when healthy and utilized he has a knack for producing. He should be nowhere near standard league rosters, and he has a lot to prove before he deserves an add in deeper leagues, but keep an eye on him from a distance. The Cavs aren't exactly deep.

Leon Powe (finger) will practice Tuesday, and could be available for Wednesday's game against the Hawks.
He hasn't done much to warrant fantasy consideration in a long time, but if it's possible, it would be in a place like Cleveland.

Sat Dec 18 201010:25Leon Powe (finger) could miss a week or more
Leon Powe could miss a week or more as he recovers from a nasty cut on his finger, which prohibits him from shooting or passing.
''It's in a bad place where you can't stitch it up,'' Cavs coach Byron Scott said. ''They feel if he was out there playing, it'd just be bleeding.'' The injury will take about two weeks to heal, but Powe doesn't expect to be out that long.

Fri Dec 17 201015:35Leon Powe out Friday w/ cut finger
Leon Powe will not play for the Cavaliers on Friday because he cut his finger on the rim during Thursday's practice.
Powe gives Cleveland some bulk off the bench, but he hasn't been a fantasy factor this year. If you're in a very deep league, keep an idle eye on him -- the Cavs are struggling and Bryon Scott could change his rotations at any moment.

Sat Dec 4 201023:42Powe scores 10 points with six boards
Leon Powe scored 10 points on 5-of-9 shooting with six rebounds, no assists, and no steals or blocks in a start at small forward on Saturday.
He's long had the skill to be an effective fantasy player, but his health has held him back. With the Cavs' SF position being in limbo, keep one eye on him as they try to right the ship.
Mon Oct 4 201010:19Leon Powe (knee) resting up for Cavs
Leon Powe worked hard conditioning and rehabbing his surgically-repaired knee during training camp, but the effort left him too exhausted for scrimmaging.
''Now they're trying to get me more rest so I can get used to the offense,'' Powe said. The Cavs can definitely use a tough frontcourt player with Powe's firepower, but of course his health is the major stumbling block.

Mon Sep 6 201009:58Leon Powe says knee is 100% healthy
Leon Powe said recently that his knee is 100% healthy and he can now squat 275 pounds.
The Cavaliers PF spent most of last season recuperating from surgery, and wound up playing in just 20 games. He'll wear a brace as a precaution this season, but if healthy he could emerge as a solid rotation player in Cleveland.

Tue May 18 201018:45Cavs pick up team option on Powe
Cavs exercised their team option on F Leon Powe.
The Cavs are, in fact, doing other business besides praying LeBron stays. Powe's year was marred by knee problems and ended up averaging just 11 minutes a night in 20 appearances. He'll earn about $915K next season.
