Sat Nov 3 201202:56Stevenson hits four threes against Rockets
DeShawn Stevenson hit four 3-point shots on Friday against the Rockets, finishing with 12 points, two rebounds, one assist, and two steals in 29 minutes off the bench.
Stevenson was called in to try and slow down James Harden, and didn't fare much better than starter Devin Harris. His 4-of-6 shooting line came entirely from downtown, and this is his ceiling for fantasy purposes. In other words, we're not biting.

Fri Oct 19 201201:12Stevenson (knee) starts against the Hornets
DeShawn Stevenson (knee) returned to action and started at SF in Thursday's preseason game, scoring three points on 1-of-5 shooting (all threes) with two rebounds, one assist, one steal, and two blocks in 22 minutes.
Stevenson could end up becoming a token starter for a shallow Hawks squad, but even in that case he doesn't deserve any fantasy attention in most formats.

Fri Oct 12 201215:22DeShawn Stevenson limited in practice
DeShawn Stevenson was limited in Hawks practice due to a swollen knee.
Stevenson is a potential starting shooting guard for the Hawks and a knee injury could be detrimental to him. It doesn't sound too serious though, so we're calling him day-to-day. Even if starting, he'll be a low-end fantasy option.

Mon Jul 16 201209:27DeShawn Stevenson's contract details emerge
DeShawn Stevenson will only have the first year of his new three-year contract fully guaranteed.
Stevenson was included in the sign-and-trade deal that sent Joe Johnson to the Nets, so the Hawks could look to waive D-Steve after just one season with the team. At this point in his career, his role will remain unchanged regardless of what jersey he's wearing and is not a consideration in fantasy leagues.

Tue Apr 10 201211:03DeShawn Stevenson draws start at SF Tuesday
DeShawn Stevenson will start at small forward with Gerald Wallace (hamstring) out against the Sixers on Tuesday.
Stevenson has started 26 games this season, but has averaged just 3.5 points and 1.0 treys in 22 minutes per game. Both Anthony Morrow and MarShon Brooks should see considerable time on the wing against Philadelphia with Gerald Green (mouth) a game-time decision and not a lock to play.

Sat Mar 24 201217:58DeShawn Stevenson out w/ flu on Saturday
DeShawn Stevenson (flu) will not play for the Nets on Saturday.
Stevenson's knee problems have made him questionable for most of the season, and his minutes will be absorbed by Anthony Morrow, Gerald Green and MarShon Brooks.

Tue Mar 20 201216:25Stevenson taking DNP-CDs
DeShawn Stevenson has been a DNP-CD in each of the last two games.
Stevenson went from starting to riding the pine. It makes sense as the Nets need to get MarShon Brooks, Gerald Green and Anthony Morrow minutes.

Sun Mar 4 201221:00DeShawn Stevenson gets more minutes for NJ
DeShawn Stevenson was scoreless (0-of-1 shooting) in 29 minutes on Sunday, one day after Avery Johnson vowed to give him more playing time.
This is a poor development for fantasy owners, as Stevenson is a solid defender but doesn't offer any statistical upside. His knee is balky and there's no guarantee that he'll hang onto this big a chunk of playing time, so there's still some hope for Anthony Morrow (eight points in 25 minutes off the bench).

Wed Feb 15 201223:43DeShawn Stevenson returns to action Wednesday
DeShawn Stevenson, who had been out since the end of January due to knee problems, returned to action on Wednesday night but was unable to score in 17 minutes.
Stevenson was inserted into the starting lineup, but missed all five of his shots. In addition, he appeared to tweak his ankle, but was able to remain in the game. It goes without saying, but you can do much better than Stevenson in fantasy leagues.

Wed Feb 15 201210:38DeShawn Stevenson to return, start vs. MEM
DeShawn Stevenson (knee) will return on Wednesday and start at small forward against the Grizzlies.
Stevenson has been sidelined with knee problems since the end of January, but he'll return to a starting role in place of Shawne Williams (shoulder). Stevenson is averaging just 2.9 points on 27.4 percent shooting this season.

Tue Feb 14 201213:08DeShawn Stevenson questionable for Wednesday
DeShawn Stevenson (knee) is questionable for Wednesday.
Stevenson has been out since the end of January with knee woes, but he said that he will play on Wednesday if it's up to him. Stevenson is getting healthier, but he offers no sustainable fantasy value to owners in standard sized leagues.

Sat Feb 11 201210:42DeShawn Stevenson (knee) nearing return
DeShawn Stevenson (knees) is expected to return to practice next week.
Stevenson recently underwent Orthokine therapy, the same procedure that helped Kobe Bryant rejuvenate his knees this summer. He said his knees now feel as good as they have since 2004, yet another advertisement for the blood-spinning treatment.

Wed Feb 1 201218:23Stevenson (knee) out at least two weeks
DeShawn Stevenson (right knee) won't return for at least two weeks.
The Nets are without Stevenson, Damion James (foot) and MarShon Brooks (toe). That leaves Anthony Morrow as the default SG, with Shawne Williams (himself battling chronic foot/leg problems) likely to stick at SF until Stevenson returns. Morrow should be owned in all leagues for his explosive 3-point shooting, while Williams is worth watching in deep leagues.

Mon Jan 30 201212:39DeShawn Stevenson (knee) out on Tuesday
DeShawn Stevenson (knee) has been ruled out for the Nets on Tuesday.
Stevenson bruised his knee during Sunday's game and is day-to-day going forward. His availability shouldn't affect fantasy rosters, other than making Anthony Morrow a more stable option (especially in light of MarShon Brooks' broken toe).

Sun Jan 29 201221:38DeShawn Stevenson suffers knee injury
DeShawn Stevenson suffered a bruised knee in Sunday's game, but reportedly returned to action.
However, he played just 12 minutes and failed to score, so it's possible the knee could be a problem going forward. And while Stevenson has no fantasy value, it could mean that we see both Anthony Morrow and MarShon Brooks starting for the Nets if Stevenson misses any time.

Fri Jan 27 201222:41Stevenson starts at small forward on Friday
DeShawn Stevenson started at small forward on Friday, scoring six points on 2-of-3 shooting (including two threes) with three rebounds and one assist in 25 minutes.
Stevenson is only worth a look in a spot-start capacity if you need threes and MarShon Brooks (Achilles) remains out.

Sun Jan 22 201213:12DeShawn Stevenson bothered by sore knee
DeShawn Stevenson is dealing with a sore knee.
Nets writer Stefan Bondy actually describes it as a "balky knee," which seems more appropriate since he's been dealing with this issue for years. Avery Johnson basically confirmed that his minutes will be monitored closely, saying, "DeShawn and Shawne [Williams] are the guys we are worried about playing major minutes."

Mon Jan 16 201218:48DeShawn Stevenson starts, struggles
DeShawn Stevenson, not Anthony Morrow, started at small forward in Monday's loss to the Clippers.
Stevenson predictably struggled offensively, scoring three points in 20 minutes. But Avery Johnson insists on playing him for his defensive presence. It's a drag on fantasy owners as Morrow saw just 16 minutes off the bench.
