Mon Aug 29 202221:51James Outman Forcing Dodgers' Hand In Minors
Los Angeles Dodgers prospect James Outman is a talented 25-year-old outfielder on the verge of making a legitimate MLB impact. In fact, if Outman played on a team that didn't have as many stars as the Dodgers have, he'd likely be an everyday player. Instead, he's in Triple-A, just waiting for another opportunity after he went 6-for-13 with a homer and three RBI during a short MLB stint one month ago. A true athlete, Outman is a pull hitter who has drastically improved his discipline in the Dodgers' system. He gets on base at a high clip and has shown off some impressive power. Defensively, he has the speed and arm strength needed to survive in center field long-term. This past week was one to remember for the young outfielder. He went 12-for-21 over the course of six games, delivering 10 extra-base hits, two homers, and 14 RBI. His best outing undeniably came on Aug. 26, when he went 5-for-5 with a single, double, homer, and two triples. That's a total of 13 bases, as well as one run and six RBI. He will have instant fantasy relevance once he's promoted to the majors, which could come when rosters expand to 28 players on Thursday.

Sat Aug 27 202208:34James Outman Hits For Cycle In Triple-A
Los Angeles Dodgers outfield prospect James Outman had himself a game on Friday evening for Triple-A Oklahoma City. Outman went 5-for-5 with six RBI and hit for the cycle in an unforgettable evening for the 25-year-old. The outfielder has put together his best season as a professional and has jumped from Double-A to Triple-A with a cup of coffee with the Dodgers during the 2022 campaign. Between Double-A and Triple-A this season, Outman has hit .286 with 23 homers, 84 RBI and 12 stolen bases. Despite his success in the minors, he is blocked by multiple All-Stars at the big-league level and also competing with the likes of outfield prospects Andy Pages and Jose Ramos for future big-league at-bats. All that being said, Outman can be monitored in dynasty leagues, but is not a must-roster.

Mon Aug 1 202200:15James Outman Homers In Debut
Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder James Outman made his major league debut Sunday, and he came a triple shy of the cycle. The rookie went 3-for-4 at the plate with a home run, a double, three RBI, and two runs scored. This impressive performance surely will turn some heads, but there's no guarantee of playing time going forward. Fantasy managers needn't look to Outman on the wire, as the strong first day is a better story than any indication of future results.
