Tue Aug 21 201222:54Youkilis hits grand slam, White Sox top Yanks
Kevin Youkilis launched a grand slam in Tuesday night's 7-3 victory over the visiting Yankees.
The four-run jack was Youk's only hit, but it was obviously a meaningful one. He continues to provide excellent production for his new team and should remain a strong fantasy option down the stretch. The veteran third baseman has 11 homers and 33 RBI in 46 games since joining up with the Pale Hose.

Kevin Youkilis is not in Sunday's lineup due to a sore right knee.
It's the same knee that caused him to miss a game earlier this month. Youkilis says the knee is "barking," but it doesn't sound like something that will keep him out more than a day or two. Ray Olmedo is drawing the start at third base Sunday.

Sun Aug 5 201210:25White Sox unlikely to pick up Youk's option
Nick Cafardo of the Boston Globe was told by a White Sox official that the team likes Kevin Youkilis, "but probably not enough" to pick up his $13 option for 2013.
That's understandable. Although Cafardo says the Sox are "content with the rental," they could always choose to bring Youkilis back at a lesser rate. The 33-year-old has proved to be a nice acquisition by general manager Kenny Williams, as he's batted .256/.377/.488 with eight homers over 33 games.

Kevin Youkilis continued to terrorize his former club on Tuesday, blasting a three-run homer off Jon Lester in leading the White Sox to a 7-5 victory.
He also drew a walk and also scored a pair of runs. As a member of the White Sox, Youkilis is now batting an impressive .319 (22-for-69) with four homers and 18 RBI in his 18 games. While he may not admit it publicly, surely Youk takes tremendous pride in sticking it to Red Sox manager Bobby Valentine.

Wed Jul 4 201200:00Youkilis leads 21-hit attack against Rangers
Kevin Youkilis had his finest game in a White Sox uniform on Tuesday, going 3-for-6 with a homer and four RBI as the Sox demolished the Rangers 19-2.
Youk got the White Sox offense started with a bang, blasting a two-run homer off Roy Oswalt before he recorded an out in the first inning. He'd add three singles later, finishing 4-for-6, and also scored three runs in the game. While he's no longer the dynamic offensive force that he once was, he can still be plenty useful in mixed leagues. He's now hitting .242 with five homers and 22 RBI on the season.
