Ginobili will be held out of Saturday's game to rest.
The Spurs have gone to triple overtime in their last two games, so Tim Duncan is also being held out Saturday to rest. With the Spurs four best players out of the lineup, Danny Green, Marco Belinelli and Kyle Anderson should all see plenty of time on the wing Saturday.

Ginobili contributed 21 points (7-20 FG, 4-9 3Pt, 3-7 FT), eight rebounds and eight assists in 41 minutes during the Spurs' 117-116 loss versus the Grizzlies on Wednesday.
As long as Tony Parker (hamstring) is out Ginobili will likely continue to hold down more ball-handling and play-making duties. The Grizzlies were missing their best perimeter defender in Tony Allen (eye), but Ginobili has been having an impressive season with Patty Mills (shoulder) yet to make his season debut. Once Parker and Mills are able to return Ginobili's stats could suffer some, but continue to ride him while he's hot.

Ginobili will be held out Monday against Portland due to a lower back contusion.
Ginobili apparently suffered the injury during Sunday's win over Denver, in which he had 15 points and six assists in 24 minutes. On the second half of a back-to-back, it's quite possible he's being held out as a precaution more than anything else.

Ginobili posted 15 points, one rebound, and six assists in 24 minutes of action Sunday against the Nuggets.
Ginobili is averaging 12.3 points, 2.5 rebounds, 4.5 assists, 0.9 steals, and 1.4 three-pointers made for the season. While his averages don't pop off the charts, he's still a solid option in standard leagues, as he's a major part of the Spurs' offense, and he'll continue to play well as log as he's healthy.

Ginobili returned Friday from a night of rest Wednesday, scoring 18 points, but making just three of his eight attempts from beyond the arc.
On the night Ginobili shot 6-for-16, and turned the ball over four times in 31 minutes. The veteran, like Tony Parker and Tim Duncan, didn't play Wednesday against the Knicks. Expect Ginobili to continue to take games off from time to time, as we've come to expect from the Spurs.
Wed Dec 10 201419:10Ginobili (rest) will be given night off Wednesday
Ginobili (rest) will be given the night off Wednesday, Project Spurs' Paul Garcia reports.
The Spurs will be very shorthanded Wednesday, meaning Danny Green and Marco Belinelli should see significant run on the wing. Look for Ginobili to return to the court Friday.
Wed Dec 10 201417:12Ginobili (rest) will miss Wednesday's game against Knicks
Ginobili (rest) will miss Wednesday's game against the Knicks, ESPN Radio San Antonio reports.
Ginobili will join Tim Duncan on the bench Wednesday, both receiving days off for some rest. With Patty Mills, Tony Parker and Kawahi also out Wednesday, Cory Joseph, Danny Green and Marco Belinelli will likely receive a good chunk of minutes.
Wed Dec 10 201415:19Ginobili could be rested for Wednesday's game against Knicks
Ginobili could be rested for Wednesday's game against the Knicks.
Both Tim Duncan and Ginobili are listed as questionable by the Spurs for Wednesday's matchup with the Knicks. Considering San Antonio is on the second night of a back-to-back and the Knicks are the opponent, there looks to be a good chance one or both of the aging veterans could sit out. Ginobili played 28 minutes in Tuesday's loss to Utah, shooting just 3-of-17 from the floor.

Ginobili returned from a shoulder injury that kept him out for one game, but went just 3-for-17 from the floor in 28 minutes of faction.
Ginobili did have eight assists, but the shooting likely hurt owners in the Spurs' surprising loss to the Jazz. This isn't a regular problem for the 37-year-old, though, and his shoulder seems to be fine now after keeping him out of Saturday's game.

Ginobili (shoulder) is not available for Saturday's game against the Spurs, the San Antonio Express-News reports.
This seems to just rest for the veteran. Ginobili should be back for Tuesday's game against the Jazz.

Ginobili scored 28 points (10-18 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 6-7 FT), with three rebounds, four assists and two steals in 26 minutes during Wednesday's win against the Pacers.
This line came out of nowhere as Ginobili had only scored 19 points across his previous four games. He still has the ability to post big lines so consider adding Ginobili on nights when there are minimal games scheduled.

Ginobili scored 17 points (7-17 FG, 3-8 3Pt, 0-1 FT), with five assists and two steals in 26 minutes during Tuesday's win over the Warriors.
Ginobili (rest) was originally considered questionable for the game, but put up a strong outing during his team's win. It looked as though he may not go on Tuesday night, but leave it to Gregg Popovich to surprise us all.
Tue Nov 11 201416:27Ginobili (rest) considered questionable for Tuesday's game again...
Ginobili (rest) is considered questionable for Tuesday's game against the Warriors, Marc Spears of Yahoo! Sports reports.
Both Ginobili and Tim Duncan are both considered questionable, as the veterans continue to have their minutes monitored early in the season. Ginobili played 27 minutes Saturday against New Orleans and 25 minutes Monday, so it would not be a surprise if coach Gregg Popovich ends up holding him out Tuesday against the 5-1 Warriors.

Ginobili took up his familiar sixth man role after sitting out Thursday's game for rest, scoring 17 points (6-11 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 3-4 FT) with two rebounds and two steals in 27 minutes Saturday.
When Ginobili is playing, he is still able to produce, even in limited minutes, but his proclivity for missing games hampers his fantasy value across the entire season. So far this season, Ginobili is averaging 12.8 points, 1.3 three-pointers, 2.5 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.3 steals in 26 minutes. When the inevitable rest and injuries strike, be prepared to move on from Ginobili in your fantasy team.
Thu Nov 6 201414:01Ginobili (rest) will not play Thursday against Houston
Ginobili (rest) will not play Thursday against Houston, Paul Garcia of Project Spurs reports.
Ginobili, along with Tim Duncan, will be held out of Thursday's primetime showdown against the undefeated Rockets. Given coach Gregg Popovich's history, the decision comes as no surprise. Expect Ginobili to return for Saturday's game against New Orleans.
Sat Oct 18 201410:39Manu Ginobili: Dealing With Aches And Pains
Ginobili is dealing with aches and pains in his Achilles and small toe, the San Antonio Express-News reports.
While Ginobili's aches and pains probably aren't enough to hold him out of competition, the fact that he's already struggling to stay on the court is concerning for the long haul of the season. He dealt with a stress fracture during the offseason which limited his ability to train, and he consequentially came into training camp out of shape. The 37-year-old will have to play catch up before the season starts while nursing injuries that won't seem to go away.
Mon Oct 13 201413:19Ginobili won't travel with team for Thursday's game in Phoenix
Ginobili won't travel with team for Thursday's game in Phoenix, Jeff McDonald of the San Antonio Express-News reports.
This is simply a rest day for Ginobili and several of the Spurs' other veterans. He will be ready for the start of the regular season.

Ginobili (calf) played 22 minutes off the bench on Wednesday against Alba Berlin, scoring seven points (1-3 FG, 1-3 3P, 4-4 FT) with two steals but also committing five turnovers and racking up five fouls.
He didn't exactly look to be in midseason form, but the fact that Ginobili was in the lineup confirms that his calf injury is no big deal. He should be fine once the games start to count.
Fri Oct 3 201413:38Manu Ginobili: Leaves Practice With Calf Injury
Ginobili was kicked in the calf during Friday's practice and will likely be sidelined during a portion of training camp as a result, the San Antonio Express-News reports.
There are some conflicting reports on the severity of Ginobili's calf injury, but the Spurs will likely be as cautious as possible with the veteran considering that he entered training camp with an existing leg injury. As for right now, Ginobili doesn't seem to be in any long-term danger, but he may miss valuable preseason time that would better prepare him for the regular season.

Ginobili (leg) has reportedly been practicing for about a week now without any setbacks, San Antonio Express-News reports.
Ginobili was diagnosed with a stress fracture in his right leg after last season's championship run. He was ruled out from participating in the FIBA World Cup this summer, as the Spurs wanted him to spend the offseason recovering in order to be ready for the 2014-15 season. The leg injury was never thought to be serious enough to limit Ginobili in training camp, so it's not surprising he's out the court and looking healthy already.
