Ginobili has averaged at least 4.0 assists per game each of the last six seasons, and that type of consistent production can be valuable late in drafts.

At 37 years old, Ginobili's production has understandably declined in recent seasons, but he remains an instrumental component of the Spurs' championship equation. With his intentions for the upcoming season clear, Ginobili is expected to sign a new contract with San Antonio in the near future.

Ginobili played in his 13th season with the Spurs in 2014-15, averaging 10.5 points, 1.3 three-pointers, 3.0 rebounds, 4.2 assists, 0.3 blocks, and 1.0 steal in 23 minutes.

Ginobili will be a 37-year-old unrestricted free agent this offseason. While he played in more games this season (70) than any other since 2010-11, Ginobili still had to fight through injuries. Last summer, he dealt with a stress fracture in his fibula, and during this season, he sat out some games with back spasms and dealt with a sprained right ankle for a few weeks during March. Before the All-Star break, Ginobili played in 46 games, while after the All-Star break, he only played in 24 games, averaging six less minutes and four less points per contest after the break. This downturn in his production is not necessarily a negative sign because Spurs coach Gregg Popovich is famous for resting his players. What this means is that Ginobili, one of the oldest players in the NBA, should continue to play a meaningful role in the Spurs' rotation next season if he decides to re-sign with the team and continue his NBA career.

Ginobili posted 14 points, three rebounds, six assists, and one block in 18 minutes of action in Game 5 against the Clippers.

Ginobili played just 18 minutes but was able to contribute solid numbers. He's doing a good job in his bench role, and he'll need to continue playing well for the Spurs to close out the series in Game 6.

Ginobili logged 22 minutes in Game 2 against the Clippers before fouling out. He posted nine points, two rebounds, three assists, and one block.

Ginobili is an intergral part of the Spurs' offense -- particularly off the bench -- and it's a shame he fouled out Wednesday. He would have had an opportunity to put up more minutes, with Tony Parker ailing throughout the game, but that was not the case. Still, Ginobili figures to be a solid option moving forward.

It was his most productive game since returning to action from an ankle injury on March 24. Ginobili will likely continue to see his court time restricted as the Spurs close out their regular season schedule, as they try to keep him healthy for the playoffs.

Coach Gregg Popovich stopped short of saying Ginobili would play, but given that the Argentinian guard is considered probable, it seems highly unlikely he'd suit up and just sit on the bench. Ginobili's return from a four-game absence will likely cut into the minutes of Danny Green and Marco Belinelli.

Ginobili (ankle) is considered probable for Tuesday's game versus the Mavericks.

Ginobili's sprained ankle has kept him out for just over a week, but that sideline spell appears destined to come to an end Tuesday. With Ginobili likely to play against the in-state rival Mavericks, Danny Green's minutes may be scaled back slightly, with Marco Belinelli also a candidate for some cut in playing time.
