Jemile Weeks went 2-for-2 with a solo homer in Wednesday's win over the Padres.

Mon Feb 25 201318:32Jemile Weeks drives in two in spring loss
Jemile Weeks finished 2-for-3 with two RBI in the A's loss to the Indians on Monday in Arizona.
Weeks was caught stealing on his one attempt, but it was a good day overall. The talented former first-round pick is hoping to prove to A's management this spring that he can be relied on as an everyday second baseman. If he wins that job, he'll carry decent fantasy value.

Sun Jan 27 201316:37Weeks to battle Sizemore for second base job
The Athletics' second base job "will be an open competition" between Jemile Weeks and Scott Sizemore.
Weeks dealt with health issues and struggled with effectiveness in 2012, but he'll enter spring training as the slight favorite for a starting role. After missing all of last season due to injury, Sizemore is also a candidate for playing time at third base with Josh Donaldson, and could be a potential fantasy sleeper if he can find his way into an everyday job.

Thu Sep 13 201218:23Jemile Weeks goes 2-for-3, steals base
Jemile Weeks went 2-for-3 with a double and a steal Thursday in his first start since being called up from Triple-A.
The A's have mostly used Cliff Pennington at second base lately and they've been winning, so they probably won't be quick to make a change. Weeks, however, does offer more offensive potential at the position. The A's should give him a few more starts before they decide who they want to play at second base in the postseason, if they advance.

Jemile Weeks is starting at second base Thursday.
It'll be his first taste of action since being demoted to Triple-A Sacramento on August 20. Weeks was recalled September 10 but is batting just .220/.305/.302 in 113 major league games this season and seems unlikely to carry fantasy value down the stretch.

Mon Sep 10 201214:10A's recall Jemile Weeks from AAA Sacramento
A's recalled 2B Jemile Weeks from Triple-A Sacramento.
Weeks posted a promising .333/.412/.422 slash line in 51 plate appearances at Sacramento after getting optioned off the A's 25-man roster on August 21. The 25-year-old still has a bright future but wasn't productive earlier this summer in the majors and won't get many starts over the regular season's final three weeks. His promotion can be ignored in most fantasy formats.

Tue Aug 21 201218:10A's option struggling Jemile Weeks to AAA
Athletics optioned 2B Jemile Weeks to Triple-A Sacramento.
It's been a lost season for the 25-year-old second baseman, who entered 2012 to great hype after posting a .761 OPS and stealing 22 bases in 2011. Weeks could be brought back in September if he gets on the right track down on the farm, but he can be dropped in most fantasy leagues.

Wed Aug 15 201220:11Jemile Weeks' 2B job could be in jeopardy
Casey Pratt of CSNBayArea.com writes that Jemile Weeks "could be under pressure."
Weeks made a costly error on Tuesday and is sitting out Wednesday in favor of Adam Rosales. The A's have also given prospect Grant Green extra time at second base at Triple-A Sacramento recently, possibly indicating that Weeks is on the hot seat. The 25-year-old is batting just .220/.304/.303 with two homers and 15 steals this season.

Tue Jun 19 201219:40Jemile Weeks nursing leg soreness
Jemile Weeks has been batting second lately partly due to some leg soreness.
It's also presumably a big reason why Weeks hasn't stolen a base since mid-May. It doesn't appear that he'll need a stint on the disabled list, but don't expect him to run wild anytime soon.

Tue Jun 5 201203:14J. Weeks returns with one-hit, two-RBI effort

Weeks had been day-to-day with a left hip strain. Monday's effort marked his first RBI since May 1 -- a span of 26 games. The disappointing second baseman has picked it up a bit the past week but is still batting only .227 with seven RBI in 193 at-bats.

Jemile Weeks has been diagnosed with a mild hip strain and is listed as day-to-day.
Weeks stated that he wasn't worried about the injury, and even hinted that he may be available to play on Sunday. This doesn't look like it's something that will keep him out long-term, but monitor the situation before setting your lineups for next week.
