Thu Jan 10 201309:11D'Antoni, Kobe call Clark's play 'phenomenal'
Mike D'Antoni and Kobe Bryant both described Earl Clark's play as "phenomenal" following his double-double on Wednesday.
"It made me feel great," Clark said. There are no assurances that Clark will be effective every night, but with the Lakers injuries and Antawn Jamison remaining mostly ineffective, the Lakers should be willing to give Clark a bigger role off the bench. D'Antoni also said that Clark will get another look in the rotation after his big night. Keep a careful eye on him.

Thu Jan 10 201301:17Earl Clark explodes for 22 & 13 in loss
Earl Clark came off the bench for a career-high 22 points, 13 rebounds and a 3-pointer on 9-of-12 shooting in 28 minutes in Wednesday's loss to the Spurs.
Clark helped the Lakers make a comeback, but they still felt short by three points to lose their fifth straight game. Give Clark credit for the game of his life, but with Pau Gasol due back soon, and Clark not likely to play this well again, Clark should quickly become an afterthought in fantasy. He's worth keeping an eye on, and he certainly opened Mike D'Antoni's eyes tonight, but the fact remains Clark had scored a total of 14 points on the season coming in, and the big men won't be out for too much longer.

Wed Jan 9 201300:17Earl Clark plays 21 minutes off Laker bench
Earl Clark played a season-high 21 minutes off the Lakers bench on Tuesday and had five points, nine boards and a block on 2-of-8 shooting.
He'll help Antawn Jamison back up MWP at power forward until Pau Gasol and Dwight Howard are back from their injuries, but isn't worth a look in most fantasy leagues.

Earl Clark (groin) practiced on Monday for the first time in two weeks.

Mon Oct 15 201216:24Earl Clark out indefinitely w/ groin strain
Lakers reserve big man Earl Clark is out indefinitely after suffering a left groin strain.
With Jordan Hill also out with a long-term injury, the Lakers are getting thin up front. The good news is that Dwight Howard looks ready for opening night, and has also looked great in work outs.

Fri Aug 10 201209:38Clark to be sent to Lakers in Howard deal
Earl Clark will be traded to the Lakers upon completion of the Dwight Howard trade, according to Ken Berger of CBS Sports.
Marc Spears of Yahoo! Sports was first to report the detail on Thursday night, but this is confirmation that Clark will be packing his bags for Los Angeles. Given that Clark opted out of his contract with the Magic earlier in the offseason, it will be interesting to see what type of deal he receives given his inclusion in the deal. He'll offer no fantasy value.

Fri Aug 10 201200:51LAL expected to get Duhon and Clark
The Los Angeles Lakers are also expected to receive Chris Duhon and Earl Clark while the Magic get a second-round pick in the Dwight Howard deal, sources tell Marc Spears of Yahoo! Sports.
Duhon will add depth behind the 38-year-old Steve Nash and will likely compete with Steve Blake for the backup duties. Earl Clark really struggled in earning playing time for the Magic by playing just 12.4 minutes in 15 games in 2012. It should get worse in Los Angeles for the Louisville Cardinal with Antawn Jamison now in the fold.

Fri Jun 22 201215:26Earl Clark 'leaning toward' opting out
Earl Clark is "leaning toward" declining his $1.2 million player option for 2012-13, according to his agent.
Clark isn't likely to command much more annually as a free agent, but by opting out he could at least secure a multi-year deal. His future with the Magic is uncertain, and the dismissal of head coach Stan Van Gundy "may play a role in Clark's decision."

Thu May 10 201210:41Earl Clark to pick up player option?
Earl Clark hinted that he intends to pick up his player option for the 2012-13 season.
There's no reason for Clark to test free agency after averaging 2.7 points per game this past season. "I definitely want to be here. I don't want to be anywhere else," he said.

Tue Apr 24 201211:49Clark, Q-Rich expected to play on Wednesday
Earl Clark (knee) and Quentin Richardson (back) did not practice on Tuesday, but both are expected to play against the Bobcats on Wednesday.
Clark had stated that he felt pain any time he moves or jumps, but he's apparently feeling well enough to contribute. Neither player holds much fantasy appeal in standard-sized leagues.

Mon Apr 23 201209:52Earl Clark says knee is getting better
Earl Clark says he feels pain in his knee whenever he does any movement or jumps.
Clark has missed two straight games after tweaking his knee against the Celtics last Wednesday. "It's getting better," he said. "It's still kind of sore. But as the days go by, it's getting better." Consider Clark very questionable for Wednesday's virtually meaningless game against the Bobcats.

Sat Apr 21 201214:27Earl Clark (knee) doubtful to play Saturday
Earl Clark (knee) is not expected to play against the Jazz on Saturday.
Clark posted a 14-point, 11-rebound effort on Monday, and any extended absence could become a problem for Orlando now that Dwight Howard is done for the season. Glen Davis and Daniel Orton are currently holding down the C spot.

Tue Apr 17 201200:33Clark posts 14 and 11 against the Sixers
Earl Clark scored 14 points on 7-of-14 shooting with 11 rebounds, two assists, one steal, and two blocks in 34 minutes off the bench on Monday.
Clark outplayed starter Daniel Orton (six points, six boards, one block, 24 minutes) in the race to be Big Baby's beneficiary. Baby said he is coming back to play his old Celtics squad on Wednesday, so it looks like owners will have to settle for filing Clark's outing away in their memory in case the rotund one can't stay on the floor.
