Fri Jul 5 201316:40Earl Clark to play SF for Cavs
Earl Clark is expected to play small forward for the Cavs.
It's notable because Clark won't be battling with No. 1 overall pick and Tristan Thompson for minutes at power forward. Instead, he'll only have to beat out the likes of Alonzo Gee, C.J. Miles and Sergey Karasev for the starting small forward job. It's a battle to watch in camp as Clark showed last year he can be a fantasy asset when getting minutes.

Fri Jul 5 201309:32Earl Clark is 'very excited' about the Cavs
Earl Clark is "very excited" about playing with the Cavs and being with Mike Brown next season.
"[Earl] is very excited about the team and being reunited with Coach Brown," Clark's agent Kevin Bradbury said. It's a cliche thing to say, but Clark was barely playing with Mike Brown as the head coach of the Lakers. He played just two minutes combined over six games before the Brown firing, then his season eventually blossomed to get 33.5 minutes per game in February. He's expected to play small forward and his upside will make him worth watching.

Thu Jul 4 201315:05Earl Clark to sign two-year deal with Cavs
Earl Clark has agreed to a two-year, $9 million deal with the Cavaliers.
The Cavs were one of the first to show their interest in Clark during this free agency period. Clark gets a nice raise from his $1.2 million from last season and he earned it as one of the pleasant surprises in the league last year. He has a little bit of everything to his game and the Cavs could choose to use him at small forward. He'll be worth watching as a sleeper pick, depending on how Cleveland will use top pick Anthony Bennett.

Wed Jul 3 201322:45Clippers are interested in UFA Earl Clark
The Clippers have interest in unrestricted free agent Earl Clark.
The Clippers do need a power forward behind Blake Griffin and they could make a run at Clark, assuming he's not looking to score a big deal. Clark was a nice surprise for the Lakers as they dealt with injuries and he showed tremendous versatility. The Cavs have met with Clark and may be the most likely to sign the 25-year-old forward.

Tue Jul 2 201321:31Earl Clark to meet with Cavs again Wednesday
Free agent big man Earl Clark met with the Cavaliers on Tuesday and is expected to do so again on Wednesday.
No offer is in place, but it's possible that one could be coming on Wednesday. Clark would offer a solid big body off the bench to help back up the likes of Tristan Thompson, Anderson Varejao and Tyler Zeller.

Tue Jun 25 201315:57Earl Clark has a fan in Mike Brown
The Cavs are reportedly considering a run at impending free agent Earl Clark.
Clark impressed as a starter for the Lakers last season, averaging 9.0 points, 6.8 rebounds, 1.1 3-pointers and 0.8 blocks in that role. He's a 6-foot-10 forward that can defend wings well thanks to his length. New Cavs coach Mike Brown -- who worked with Clark in L.A. -- is a fan.

Mon Apr 29 201315:22Earl Clark is expecting a lot of RFA interest
Earl Clark said Lakers GM Mitch Kupchak told him a lot of teams will be interested in Clark, who will be a restricted free agent.
Clark said he wants to return to the Lakers, but as we saw last summer, restricted free agents can be tricky to retain if there's interest elsewhere. Clark has noted he would take less money to remain a Laker but said Monday he wants to be featured in the offense more, which might be tough with Pau Gasol in front of him next season. Clark's offseason saga should be an interesting one to follow and he could see a nice bump in fantasy value depending on where he lands.

Mon Apr 29 201308:13Earl Clark willing to take less to stay in LA
Earl Clark, an unrestricted free agent, said that he's willing to take less money to remain with the Lakers.
It's one thing for Clark to say that now and another thing for him to stick true to his word when the offers start rolling in, and the Lakers won't overpay to retain him. If he takes a team-friendly deal, there is a chance he'll be back, but that's a big if at the moment.

Tue Apr 9 201318:29Earl Clark involved in fender bender
Earl Clark was involved in a minor traffic accident following Tuesday's shootaround.
Clark was not injured and his availability for Tuesday's game against the Hornets is not in doubt. However, Metta World Peace's shockingly early return from knee surgery will cramp Clark's minutes.

Sun Apr 7 201318:10Earl Clark is solid in his 25 minutes vs. LAC
Earl Clark came off the bench for 11 points, three boards, one assist, one block and two 3-pointers in 25 minutes against the Clippers on Sunday.
He has been productive in his previous three games with at least one block, one steal and one 3-pointer in each of those games. Clark taking 10 shots and getting 25 minutes isn't necessarily a bad thing and he's worth owning in standard leagues for his upcoming four-game week.

Sat Apr 6 201302:38Clark scores 13 points with steal and block
Earl Clark scored 13 points on 5-of-8 shooting (including a three) with five rebounds, one steal and one block in 37 minutes off the bench on Friday.
Clark is back on the radar after a major slowdown last month. Give him a look if you need a big man.

Wed Apr 3 201301:53Earl Clark double-doubles with five blocks
Earl Clark exploded in a win against the Mavericks on Tuesday with 17 points, 12 boards, one assist, one steal, five blocks and three 3-pointers in 29 minutes.
His five blocks were a career high and he had his double-double in the third quarter. Clark has been invisible and he failed to score in three of his last four games. While it's nice to see Clark finally show up after hitting the wall, he's likely going to be a secondary player now that Pau Gasol is healthy.

Fri Mar 22 201314:01Earl Clark expected to play backup SF
Earl Clark will see more minutes as the backup small forward with Pau Gasol (foot) healthy.
Mike D'Antoni will mix and match rotations, but Clark will still be a major part of what the Lakers do given his versatility and length. Those facts combined with an inconsistent Lakers bench should keep Clark relevant in deeper leagues, but standard owners should weigh their options. Clark should have a size advantage over many small forwards, but he's not going to get the same looks on offense he did when the Lakers were banged up.

Tue Mar 19 201308:01Earl Clark doesn't mind coming off the bench
Earl Clark said that he's "cool" with coming off the bench when Pau Gasol returns from his foot injury.
"It's cool with me," man, Clark said. "I just want to play. I never got caught up in starting." It's a refreshing answer from Clark, who has tailed off since the All-Star break with averages of 7.6 points, 6.0 rebounds, 0.7 steals and 0.6 blocks on 41.6 percent shooting. Mike D'Antoni still plans to feature Clark "heavily" in the rotation despite the move to the bench. "I think I deserve that," Clark said.

Fri Mar 15 201323:08Clark scores eight points with six boards
Earl Clark played on Friday despite an ankle injury suffered Wednesday and scored eight points on 3-of-6 shooting (including a three) with six rebounds, one steal and one block over 28 minutes against the Pacers.
It's an improvement for Clark and good news that he was able to play, but with Pau Gasol looking at Monday for a return to the starting lineup his arrow is pointing in the wrong direction.

Fri Mar 15 201312:22Earl Clark ready to roll on Friday vs. Pacers
Earl Clark (ankle) is expected to play against the Pacers on Friday.
Clark left Wednesday's game with a right ankle issue, and although his ankle is still sore, he went through shootaround and is good to go for Friday's tilt against Indiana.

Wed Mar 13 201323:04Earl Clark says he's good to go for Friday
Earl Clark (right ankle) said he'll be ready to play against the Pacers on Friday.
He has taken a major dip and had fallen out of favor with Mike D'Antoni, but the Lakers will have to give him some of Kobe Bryant's 38.3 minutes per game. Clark will likely get some more minutes at small forward and this could be a jolt to his dwindling value. To be clear, Jodie Meeks is a preferred pickup and Clark is worth a look in deeper leagues. He finished Wednesday's game with four points and three boards in 13 minutes.

Wed Mar 13 201321:32Earl Clark sprains ankle, expected to return
Earl Clark suffered a sprained ankle in Wednesday's game against the Hawks and is expected to return.
X-rays were negative on the ankle. He's lost his luster and Mike D'Antoni has been playing Antawn Jamison and Jodie Meeks in place of Clark. He can be cut in just about all leagues with Pau Gasol's return on the horizon.

Tue Mar 12 201321:52Earl Clark quiet in win over Magic
Earl Clark hit 2-of-5 shots in 21 minutes for six points, four rebounds, a steal, a block and two 3-pointers in Tuesday's win at Orlando.
With news that Pau Gasol is on the verge of returning from his foot injury, Clark's fantasy value is about to take a hit, just in time for the Lakers' two-game week starting on Monday.
