Wed Dec 18 201322:58Josh McRoberts fills stat sheet in win
Josh McRoberts hit 5-of-10 shots and a 3-pointer for 13 points, seven rebounds and seven assists in Wednesday's win over the Raptors.
McBob isn't the most exciting player to own and he'll drive you crazy on his bad nights, but has played well enough all season to be owned in most leagues. He's scored in single digits in three straight coming in and is averaging 8.8 points, 5.4 rebounds, 4.4 assists, 0.8 steals and 0.8 3-pointers over his last five.

Tue Dec 3 201323:45Josh McRoberts effective in loss
Josh McRoberts had 10 points, eight rebounds, three assists and three steals on 3-of-6 shooting in 30 minutes of Tuesday's loss.
He didn't hit a 3-pointer tonight, but has scored 10 points in back-to-back games after totaling 11 points in his previous three games. He's not a must-own player, but in a four-game week, he can come through for owners with his scoring, rebounding, assists and 3-pointers. And with Michael Kidd-Gilchrist suffering a broken hand tonight, it's possible that McBob could get hot again, despite the fact they play different positions.

Fri Nov 29 201323:42McBob quiet in win over the Bucks
Josh McRoberts scored two points on 1-of-4 shooting with six rebounds, four assists and two steals in 29 minutes on Friday against the Bucks.
McRoberts is hanging onto 12-14 team value by a thread and that may be where he settles in now that Al Jefferson is back. If you have your eyes on a hot free agent feel free to make the switch.

Wed Nov 27 201322:46Josh McRoberts plays 18 minutes vs. Indy
Foul trouble plagued Josh McRoberts throughout Wednesday's defeat, which he finished with four points in just 18 minutes of action.
McRoberts has started all 14 games that he's played in this season, contributing enough 3-pointers (1.5) and assists (4.3) to have unorthodox value at the PF position. Cody Zeller logged 19 minutes off the bench and had seven points, six rebounds and five fouls of his own.

Sat Nov 23 201323:56Josh McRoberts scores 12 points
Josh McRoberts just missed a double-double during Saturday's easy 96-72 win at Milwaukee, scoring 12 points with nine boards, two assists, one steal and two 3-pointers in 22 minutes.
He shot 5-of-7 from the field and snapped out a four-game slump tonight. McRoberts shot just 32.5 percent from the field in that span, but it didn't cost him any playing time with an average of 31.5 minutes per game. He's worth a look for owners seeking triples from the power forward spot.

Mon Nov 18 201322:58McBob posts versatile line with Big Al out
Josh McRoberts posted a versatile line on Monday, scoring 11 points on 4-of-14 shooting (including three treys) with six rebounds, five assists and two blocks in 29 minutes.
Cody Zeller (six points, six boards, two steals, one block, 19 minutes) could theoretically cut into Charlie Work's value, as could the return of Jefferson, but it's looking more and more like McRoberts will become a staple in Charlotte. It all adds up to solid late round value on the year.

Sun Nov 17 201308:10McBob hands out nine assists in loss to Heat
Josh McRoberts hit just 3-of-10 shots, was 0-for-6 from downtown and scored just six points in Saturday's loss to the Heat, but he also hauled in seven rebounds and handed out a career-high tying nine assists.
He played 37 minutes and also had a steal, and is now up to averages of 9.1 points, 4.6 rebounds, 4.7 assists, 0.9 steals and 1.6 3-pointers per game. We still really haven't gotten a good look at him playing alongside Al Jefferson, but his assists, 3-pointers and steals are fantasy gold from a big man, and he's definitely slowing down the development of rookie Cody Zeller. There's no telling how long he'll be this productive, but the Bobs aren't exactly deep at power forward. As of now, McBob should be owned in all leagues, despite scoring less than 10 a game.

Fri Nov 15 201323:25Josh McRoberts scores 13 points in win
Josh McRoberts shot 4-of-12 from the field for 13 points with five boards, four assists and three 3-pointers in 31 minutes against the Cavs.
He isn't exactly the most efficient scorer at power forward and he would rank dead last in field goal percentage at that position had he taken enough shots to qualify. McRoberts is being used as a stretch four to help open things up for Kemba Walker and Gerald Henderson, but that isn't really working. His value is holding steady in deeper leagues.

Fri Nov 15 201309:33Josh McRoberts back for Bobcats Friday
Josh McRoberts has rejoined the Bobcats after a personal absence and is expected to start on Frida against the Cavaliers.
McBob has been highly inconsistent this season, much like Byron Mullens was for the Bobcats last season, but is coming off a monster line. He had 19 points, six boards, seven assists and five 3-pointers in Monday's loss, and should have another opportunity for a good night against the Cavs, who were blown out by Minnesota in their previous game.

Wed Nov 13 201318:03Josh McRoberts (personal) ruled out on Wed.
Josh McRoberts will miss Wednesday's game for personal reasons.
The team is hopeful to have him back for Friday. Anthony Tolliver is likely to start so the team doesn't mess with Cody Zeller's role. Tolliver has a couple games in which he's played at least 22 minutes, so he has a shot to get over 25 tonight and may hit a couple threes along the way. There's no word as to why McRoberts will miss the game and hopefully everything is okay.

Mon Nov 11 201322:35McBob posts 19-6-7 line with five treys
Josh McRoberts scored 19 points on 7-of-13 shooting (including five treys) with six rebounds and seven assists in Monday's loss.
Charlie isn't going away with the return of Al Jefferson, but it remains to be seen if he can hold of Jefferson's impact and also hold off Cody Zeller over the long term. Tonight was a good first step and he's worth a hard look even if Jefferson seems like a prime candidate to steal away his touches.

Sat Nov 9 201302:22McRoberts quiet in loss to the Knicks
Josh McRoberts was quiet in Friday's loss to the Knicks, scoring five points on 2-of-5 shooting with two rebounds, three assists and one 3-point bucket in 33 minutes.
McRoberts has been up and down all year and things aren't going to get any easier once Al Jefferson eventually returns. Don't be afraid to drop him for a hot free agent.

Wed Nov 6 201322:25McRoberts breaks out of funk in win
Josh McRoberts broke out of his funk on Wednesday with 13 points, six rebounds, five assists, a steal, a block and a 3-pointer on 5-of-14 shooting in 30 minutes.
Just as McBob's owners were about to kick him to the curb he comes through with one of his best games's of the season. He scored just two points on Tuesday and played 15 minutes on Saturday, but turned it around tonight. Now we'll have to see if he can do it again on Friday against the Knicks, which should be a decent match up for McRoberts, given their lack of big bodies available up front right now.

Tue Nov 5 201323:19Josh McRoberts awful, but Bobcats win
Josh McRoberts played 22 minutes, but missed all four of his shots for two points, one rebound and one steal in Tuesday's win over the Knicks.
That's right, the Bobcats beat the Knicks without anything from their starting power forward or center (Bismack Biyombo, 1 points, 6 rebounds). Cody Zeller played 18 minutes and had seven points and five rebounds on the night, but it still looks like it's McBob's job to lose. And if he doesn't start playing better soon, he's going to lose it.

Sat Nov 2 201323:30McBob effective, but plays just 15 minutes
Josh McRoberts played just 15 minutes against the Pelicans on Saturday, but still finished with nine points, six rebounds, two assists, two steals and a 3-pointer on 3-of-4 shooting.
We're pretty sure he was put on the bench because he was being abused (in a big way) by Anthony Davis tonight. Davis is doing that to everyone he faces, so don't panic on McRoberts. He's still the starting power forward for the Bobcats and should continue to hold fantasy value going forward. Hopefully his minutes are back to normal in the next one, as he was averaging 29.5 minutes per game coming into this one.

Fri Nov 1 201322:29McBob does Charlie work for the Cats
Josh McRoberts missed all three of his field goal attempts and did not score, but did manage four rebounds, eight assists, two steals and one block in 29 minutes on Friday.
The Charlie Day doppleganger from It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia does plenty of 'Charlie work' for the Cats, cleaning the glass and making sure others have their shot attempts. All kidding aside, the Bobcats are pretty high on him right now and Cody Zeller (nine points, five boards, 19 minutes) isn't going to be handed anything for the foreseeable future.

Fri Oct 25 201322:28Josh McRoberts goes off in preseason finale
Josh McRoberts hit 8-of-13 shots and three 3-pointers for 19 points, nine rebounds, five assists, two steals and a block in 36 minutes of Friday's preseason finale.
McBob has been starting over Cody Zeller and may have locked up the power forward job with this stellar performance, although it's worth mentioning that Andrea Bargnani was guarding him. He's being ignored in favor of Zeller in a lot of leagues, but that may be a mistake, at least for the short term. If you need a 3-point shooting big man late in your draft, McRoberts looks like he's going to at least split minutes with the rookie.

Wed Oct 9 201311:49Josh McRoberts plays 10 minutes off bench
Josh McRoberts (toe) played 10 minutes off the bench on Tuesday, scoring three points with one rebound and one block.
Cody Zeller was impressive and shows no signs of ceding the PF spot to the veteran McRoberts, who is still regaining his conditioning after a training camp mostly spent rehabbing his toe. In a curious preseason wrinkle, McBob even played a bit of SF alongside Anthony Tolliver and Bismack Biyombo.

Tue Oct 8 201310:34Josh McRoberts (toe) probable to play Tuesday
Josh McRoberts (toe) is expected to play on Tuesday, but Steve Clifford said that he's "a ways away" from being in game shape.
"Josh has had so little time on the court he's not nearly ready to play from a conditioning standpoint, nor a rhythm standpoint," Clifford said. The injury has been a nagging concern for a few years and it may have already cost McRoberts the starting PF job, which will belong to rookie Cody Zeller on Tuesday.
