Josh McRoberts is expected to play on Wednesday despite a sprained ankle, according to coach Steve Clifford.
"Nothing is set in stone" and a lot can happen between now and game time, but if you were on the fence about starting McBob this week, it does sound like there's a decent chance he'll play tomorrow.

Thu Apr 3 201415:52Josh McRoberts (ankle) doubtful vs. Orlando
Josh McRoberts (ankle) is doubtful to play vs. the Magic on Friday.
Beat writer Rick Bonnell surmises that if McBob sits on Friday he'll also remain out Saturday in Cleveland. Cody Zeller had nine points, eight rebounds, three assists and one block in 27 minutes as a starter on Wednesday, while Bismack Biyombo and Anthony Tolliver also picked up extra playing time off the bench.

Wed Apr 2 201417:04Josh McRoberts (left ankle) out for Wednesday
Josh McRoberts will not play against the Sixers on Wednesday due to a sprained left ankle.
He suffered the injury on Monday night and this will be his first game out of the lineup since Nov. 13. McRoberts played 31.1 minutes per game in March, so coach Steve Clifford will have to get creative with his rotation. When McRoberts isn't on the court, the overwhelming majority of the left over playing time at power forward has gone to Cody Zeller, so he's looking at his greatest opportunity as a pro in a favorable matchup. Anthony Tolliver will get in the mix while Chris Douglas-Roberts could come in the game as part of a smaller lineup.

Fri Mar 28 201422:00McBob on Fire: 24-7-6 with six 3-pointers
Josh McRoberts got loose in Friday's overtime loss to the Magic, scoring 24 points on 8-of-16 shooting (including a career-high six threes) with seven rebounds, six assists, one steal and two blocks.
McRoberts is among the most underrated players in the league and has been key to the Bobcats' success this season. He's improved some of the consistency issues that dogged him in the first half of the season as far as fantasy production is concerned, but since then he has been a must-own player in 12-team formats.

Wed Mar 26 201421:52Josh McRoberts hits 5-of-6 shots in win
Josh McRoberts hit 5-of-6 shots for 12 points, six rebounds, four assists and a steal in Wednesday's overtime win against the Nets on Wednesday.
McBob had an incredible reverse jam in traffic late in the game, which could be the No. 1 play of the night on the four-letter network later. His scoring has been an issue lately, although he has scored 12 and 11 points in his last two games. He's a borderline fantasy play, just as he has been all season.

Mon Mar 3 201422:05McRoberts quiet in Monday's loss
Josh McRoberts scored seven points on 3-of-6 shooting (including a three) with two rebounds and four assists in 25 minutes.
McRoberts jumped on and off waiver wires for much of the first half of the season but is a classic grinder in fantasy leagues. If you set it and forget it with him all season long he has returned mid-round value by virtue of constant late round value.

Fri Feb 28 201423:45Josh McRoberts still putting up big numbers
Josh McRoberts handed out 10 assists against the Spurs on Friday with four points, four boards, two blocks, three steals and one turnover in 30 minutes.
He's one of the better passing big men in the NBA and his ability to stretch the floor has been a great fit next to Al Jefferson. McRoberts has come on strong in his last five, averaging 10.2 points, 5.2 boards, 4.4 assists, 1.0 blocks, 0.8 steals and 1.6 treys and the Bobcats staying quiet at the deadline should clear the runway for him the rest of the way. He's a bit of an unheralded must-start player in fantasy leagues and actually holds fifth-round value on the year.

Josh McRoberts hit 5-of-8 shots and three 3-pointers for 15 points, five rebounds, five assists and a steal in Wednesday's win over Detroit
He had 14 points, 10 rebounds, three assists and three 3-pointers last night, and is averaging 11.6 points, 4.6 rebounds, 5.0 assists, 0.8 steals and 2.6 3-pointers over his last five. As usual, he's worth owning in most leagues, and makes for a useful start during four-game weeks in weekly leagues.

Tue Feb 18 201423:21Josh McRoberts double-doubles in win
Josh McRoberts hit just 3-of-5 shots, but all three makes were 3-pointers and he finished with 14 points, 10 rebounds and three assists in a win over the Pistons.
McBob was nice and efficient tonight, and while he can do better with assists than tonight's effort, no one is going to complain after he picked up just his second double-double of the season. He's had some borderline fantasy value all season and looked rested after the break.

Wed Feb 12 201423:22Josh McRoberts scores 13 w/ three 3-pointers
Josh McRoberts hit 5-of-9 shots and three 3-pointers for 13 points, two rebounds, three assists and a block in Wednesday's loss to the Nets.
McBob had a nice game on Tuesday as well, racking up nine points, two steals, three 3-pointers and a career-high 13 assists. He's averaging 9.8 points, 4.0 rebounds, 4.4 assists, 1.0 steals and 2.2 3-pointers over his last five games, while his full-season numbers are similar, but come in slightly lower. As usual, he'll help your team some weeks, and hurt it in others, but is playing very well right now.

Mon Jan 20 201417:57Josh McRoberts plays well without Kemba
Josh McRoberts put up a well-rounnded line against the Raptors on Monday with 11 points, four boards, five assists, one steal and three 3-pointers in 33 minutes.
The Bobcats lost a lot of passing and shooting range with Kemba Walker (ankle) out for the next two weeks and they might be counting on McBobs as a point-forward a little more. He's an underrated passer and has a nice shooting touch, so fantasy owners might see a little added bonus over the next couple weeks.

Fri Jan 17 201422:01McBob scores 17 points in win against Magic
Josh McRoberts scored 17 points on 6-of-8 shooting (including five threes) with two rebounds, five assists, one steal and one block in Friday's win.
McBob will be one of the most added and dropped players in standard leagues this season, but he's worth a look while he is hot.

Fri Jan 10 201422:59McRoberts posts mixed line in blowout loss
Josh McRoberts posted a mixed line in Friday's blowout loss, scoring just six points with one rebound and four assists, but he did snag four steals with one block.
McBob hit 3-of-7 shots with no threes and in light of his recent struggles, the outlier in steals isn't doing enough to turn the momentum. He figures to bounce back and forth between rosters in standard formats, so when he's slumping like this he can go to the wire.

Tue Jan 7 201422:13Josh McRoberts hits rock bottom in loss
Josh McRoberts hit just 1-of-4 shots for two points, three rebounds and one assist in Tuesday's loss to the Wizards.
McRoberts often has scoring droughts, but tends to back them up with some 3-pointers, blocks, rebounds and assists. There really wasn't much of that tonight and if you've reached the end of your rope with McBob and want to exchange him for a hot free agent, it probably makes sense to do so. Don't be surprised if he bounces back with a better stat line in his next game, but his scoring is off, as he's averaging just 4.7 points over his last three games.

Sat Dec 28 201323:16Josh McRoberts struggles, but with 9 dimes
Josh McRoberts had just five points, but also had five rebounds, nine assists, a block and a 3-pointer on 2-of-8 shooting on Saturday.
He had 13 points, six boards, seven dimes, two blocks and three 3-pointers on Friday, and despite some inconsistency, is still a decent fantasy option. He's scored nine or fewer points in four of his last five games, but is still averaging 6.2 points, 4.0 rebounds, 5.6 assists, 1.2 blocks and 1.2 3-pointers over his last five. If you can handle his offensive struggles right now, the rest of his game is useful.

Fri Dec 27 201322:36Good Charlie shows up and does work vs. OKC
Good Josh McRoberts showed up in Monday's loss to the Thunder, as he scored 13 points on 5-of-13 shooting (including three treys) with six rebounds, seven assists, two steals and two blocks in 32 minutes.
Charlie Work has jumped on and off the wire in 10-12 team formats all season, but with lines like this he has been able to move into top-100 value on the season, making him a guy that should be owned in most leagues.

Sat Dec 21 201323:04Josh McRoberts struggles on Saturday
Josh McRoberts hit just 1-of-5 shots for two points, five rebounds, three assists and two blocks in Saturday's loss.
McBob might be hitting the waiver wire after this one, especially given that he was just as bad on Friday when he had two points on 1-of-3 shooting. He's still getting solid minutes and has been a productive, low-end player this year, but if this slump lasts any longer it might mean it's time to move on.

Fri Dec 20 201322:26McRoberts scores two points with seven asts
Josh McRoberts scored two points on 1-of-3 shooting with one rebound, seven assists, one steal and one block over 28 minutes on Friday.
McRoberts will be one of the most added and dropped players in standard fantasy leagues, and is definitely better for deeper leagues where owners don't have to get so lucky on sit/start decisions. Cody Zeller saw the other 20 power forward minutes tonight, scoring six points with four rebounds, one steal and two blocks.
