Sat Jun 2 2012 | 10:10 | Rip Hamilton hoping to stay injury-free |
After missing 38 games in the shortened 2011-12 season, Rip Hamilton will look at ways to improve his offseason regimen to avoid injuries. |
Rip looked good alongside Derrick Rose when the two were actually healthy, and after returning to health in April he averaged 12.1 points, 0.9 threes, 2.3 rebounds and 2.9 assists in 24 minutes per game. The Bulls' veteran SG expressed confidence that Rose will return at some point next season, which is Hamilton's final guaranteed year with Chicago. |

Fri May 4 2012 | 23:23 | Bulls crumbling under weight of injuries |
Richard Hamilton scored 17 points on 4-of-15 shooting (1-of-3 from deep, 8-of-12 from the line) with six rebounds and seven assists in the Bulls' Game 3 loss to the Sixers on Friday. |
With Joakim Noah suffering a bad-looking ankle injury (and somehow being allowed to return to the game), the body blows are adding up and the Sixers are playing well enough to take advantage. C.J. Watson was a non-factor with zero points and four assists in 20 minutes, Luol Deng was quiet with five points on 2-of-7 shooting to go with nine boards, a steal, and three blocks, Carlos Boozer went for 18 and 10 with five turnovers, and John Lucas was way to involved late for a contending team as he scored 12 points on 4-of-12 shooting in the loss. Game 4 is on Sunday. |

Wed Apr 25 2012 | 21:56 | Rip Hamilton struggles in win |
Richard Hamilton played 26 minutes Wednesday, but hit just 2-of-10 shots for four points and four assists in a win over the Pacers. |
Joakim Noah and Carlos Boozer played well, but Hamilton struggled tonight. The Bulls finish up tomorrow against the Cavaliers, and it remains to be seen how much the starters will play in another meaningless game. The good news is they haven't had Derrick Rose around much, so they could use Thursday's game as an organized practice in preparation for the playoffs. |

Tue Apr 17 2012 | 07:09 | Richard Hamilton felt good after big night |
Richard Hamilton confirmed that he felt good after playing 34 minutes on Monday. |
Hamilton had 22 points with five rebounds and five assists, but the most important thing is his playing time. The 34 minutes were the most he's played since January 29, and Hamilton said "it was cool just to be out there" following the game. Hamilton also indicated that he's ready to play more minutes before the postseason begins. |

Tue Apr 17 2012 | 04:07 | Rip puts up 22-5-5 line; Watson posts 17 & 8 |
Richard Hamilton scored 22 points on 9-of-20 shooting in the Bulls' 87-84 loss to the Wizards on Monday, and also added five rebounds and five assists in 34 minutes. |
Hamilton now has posted two lines like this in his last four games, and two lines that one certainly wouldn't write home about. It's possible that he could carry the load with Rose questionable for Wednesday's easily winnable matchup against the Bobcats, so Rip will be worth a look across formats. C.J. Watson went for 17 and eight in fill-in duty, Joakim Noah backed up his big game Sunday with six points, 11 boards, and five blocks, and Carlos Boozer went for 16 and 13 with four assists. |

Fri Apr 13 2012 | 00:36 | Hamilton scores seven points in 24 minutes |
Richard Hamilton scored seven points on 3-of-6 shooting (including a three) with one rebound and one assist in 24 minutes on Thursday against the Heat. |
Hamilton posted a fatter 20-point, four-rebound, five-assist line in his last game, but tonight's more realistic for the limited minute role he is going to play as he gets his feet underneath himself. |

Wed Apr 11 2012 | 01:35 | Hamilton scores 18 of his 20 in third quarter |
Richard Hamilton got hot in the third quarter, scoring 18 of his 20 points and finishing with four rebounds, five assists and a 3-pointer on 7-of-14 shooting. |
He took some extra shots with Derrick Rose sidelined, but appears to finally be getting healthy. With four games next week and Hamilton healthy for a change, he could be worth an add in many leagues. |

Mon Apr 9 2012 | 17:15 | Richard Hamilton plays just 18 mins Sunday |
Richard Hamilton played just 18 minutes in Sunday's overtime loss to the Knicks. |
Hamilton has bee cleared to increase his minutes, but coach Tom Thibodeau was careful to point out that "performance" will be a factor. In three games since returning from his shoulder injury, Hamilton is shooting just 34.6 percent from the field. He's not a savior for the Bulls' offense at age 34. |

Sat Apr 7 2012 | 13:18 | Rip Hamilton's minutes may soon increase |
Richard Hamilton's playing time will likely increase in the next few games, according to coach Tom Thibodeau. |
Rip played just 20 minutes in Thursday's game vs. the Celtics. Thibodeau said that "the way [Rip] is practicing tells me he can handle more, but we'll see. Performance is part of it too." There's too much uncertainty to add him, but he's worth watching. |

Richard Hamilton (shoulder) returned to action on Monday against the Rockets, scoring six points on 2-of-7 shooting (including a three) with one rebound, three assists, and five turnovers in just under 20 minutes. |
We're not banking on a lot out of Hamilton, and owners can certainly afford to track his status from the waiver wire. |

Richard Hamilton (shoulder) will start on Monday against the Rockets. |
Hamilton wasn't overly productive before he got hurt and it's a wait-and-see moment for both he and Ronnie Brewer, who moves into a bench role with Hamilton back. |

Mon Apr 2 2012 | 09:05 | Richard Hamilton hopes to play Monday |
Richard Hamilton (shoulder) is "hopeful" that he'll be able to play in Monday's game against the Rockets. |
Hamilton has missed 14 straight games, but a return in some capacity appears very close. "He's doing fine," coach Tom Thibodeau said. "I'm the one that's (being cautious). He's raring to go. He's chomping at the bit, so we'll see." We'll know Hamilton's official status around 7 p.m. ET. |

Sun Apr 1 2012 | 13:04 | Rip Hamilton out again w/ shoulder injury |
Rip Hamilton (shoulder) was not on the floor during the Bulls' pre-game warmups on Sunday, and it appears he will miss another game. |
Rip was a true game-time decision and reportedly feels that he's healthy enough to play, but coach Tom Thibodeau is unconvinced. Ronnie Brewer and Kyle Korver will continue to pick up extra minutes while Rip recuperates. |

Sat Mar 31 2012 | 14:34 | Rip Hamilton (shoulder) may return Sunday |
Rip Hamilton (shoulder) might return to action vs. the Thunder on Sunday -- he is listed as a game-time decision. |
The phrase "game-time decision" has taken on a new meaning for Chicago this season ('out'), but it sounds as though Rip may actually return. He's already said that he won't be pain-free at any point this season, and it's possible he'll come off the bench with a minute-limit, so just keep an eye on him for now. |

Sat Mar 31 2012 | 02:06 | Hamilton (shoulder) held from Friday's game |
Richard Hamilton (shoulder) did not play in Friday's game against the Pistons. |
Tom Thibodeau said that he was "very close," but really owners shouldn't be believing much that comes out of Thibs' mouth these days. He's the Bill Belichick of the NBA. When Hamilton returns he'll enter into a timeshare with Ronnie Brewer. |

Fri Mar 30 2012 | 19:38 | Hamilton's (shoulder) status cloudy on Friday |
Richard Hamilton is not in the Bulls' starting lineup, and there is still no clear answer as to whether or not he will play in Friday's game. |
Owners weren't expecting much out of the shooting guard position either way, so it's best to take a wait-and-see approach with both Hamilton and Ronnie Brewer. |

Fri Mar 30 2012 | 14:17 | Rip Hamilton (shoulder) expects return Friday |
Richard Hamilton (shoulder) is expected to play for the Bulls on Friday against his old team, the Pistons. |
Hamilton has missed Chicago's last twelve games and although he is expected to return against the Pistons, we'd recommend waiting to see if he can make it through Friday's game unscathed before you activate him for your fantasy teams. Ronnie Brewer's minutes take the biggest hit with Rip's return. |

Fri Mar 30 2012 | 12:13 | Richard Hamilton officially game-time call |
Richard Hamilton (shoulder) is officially a game-time decision for Friday against the Pistons. |
Once again, Hamilton is a game-time call. He was previously "on track" to return on Friday, and there has been nothing to indicate he's had a set back after Tom Thibodeau previously called him "very close" to a return. Ronnie Brewer has been starting in Hamilton's place since he's been sidelined. |
