Fri Dec 12 201418:08Turner expected to start at shooting guard Friday
Turner is expected to start at shooting guard Friday.
Avery Bradley is out with an illness, opening up more minutes for Turner, making him a strong play in daily leagues Friday.

Turner scored 18 points (8-13 FG, 2-2 3Pt) to go along with six rebounds, eight assists, two steals and one block in 39 minutes Monday against the Wizards.
Turner's 39 minutes Monday were a season-high, but that was largely because the game went into double overtime. He has had some nice performances this season, but don't expect him to produce like this on a regular basis.

Turner started Saturday in the win over the Bulls and had 19 points (7-14 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 4-4 FT), five rebounds, and six assists in 32 minutes.
Turner had not done much off the Celtic bench, but was all over the court in the upset win in Chicago. Rajon Rondo (hand) is expected to be back for Wednesday's game against the Thunder, so Turner's fantasy relevance could be short-lived.
Sat Nov 8 201418:44Evan Turner: Will Start Saturday
Turner will start at point guard Saturday against the Bulls, CSN New England reports.
Turner is getting the start with the tandem of Rajon Rondo (hand) and Marcus Smart (ankle) sidelined. The former Ohio State standout should see a considerable bump in minutes while that duo remains sidelined. The only obstacle in prohibiting this from happening is that Phil Pressey will likely see a jump in minutes as well.

Turner is only averaging 19 minutes on the court during Boston's first five games of the season.
Turner is currently coming off the bench in Boston and is limited as a result. However, his ability to play point guard, shooting guard, and small forward might bode well for him if injuries become a problem with the Celtics.
Wed Oct 1 201415:40Turner in mix for minutes at point guard
Turner is in the mix for minutes at point guard, and could actually be the front-runner to fill in while Rajon Rondo (hand) is out for 6-8 weeks, NBA.com's Emily Austen reports.
Coach Brad Stevens said with Rondo out, Turner is the team's best pick-n-roll option, and noted that Turner is better when he has the ball in his hands. Certainly as a coach, if playing Turner is inevitable, letting him handle the ball is probably the lesser of two evils, but he can be a bit of a black hole at times. However, if he's indeed ahead of Marcus Smart and Phil Pressey on the depth chart, he will be a useful fantasy option, at least until Rondo is healthy enough to return.
Sun Jul 27 201412:40Evan Turner hoping to resurrect career in BOS
Evan Turner's agent David Falk explained that Brad Stevens was a big reason Turner elected to sign with the Celtics.
"I think Brad [Stevens] had an opportunity to take a player with a high skill set and a very strong desire to prove what happened in Indiana was a mistake," said Falk. "I think that Brad has a chance to put him in the right sets and have a great bargain in free agency. That's why we put this thing together. We were looking for a coach that felt like Evan could be an important contributor to the team." Turner will have to earn his minutes in Boston, and we don't see him as much more than a late-round flier at this point.

Fri Jul 25 201417:5476ers coach Brett Brown praises Evan Turner
Evan Turner's previous coach Brett Brown spoke highly of Turner in a recent interview.
"I think his growth is infinite," said Brown. "I just have a soft spot for him. I feel like his better days are ahead of him. He's young by all standards [25], and I think the Celtics are really lucky to have him... If he can find the right environment, he has a chance to rebuild himself, and I know that it's in him. I really think that he's got something else to offer." Turner doesn't have too many supporters after his very unimpressive stint in Indiana, and while Brown has a "soft spot" for Turner, we'll need to see how he performs on the basketball court with his new teammates in Boston before we bump him up on our charts. Turner looks like a late-round flier.

Mon Jul 14 201413:07Report: Evan Turner garners interest from BOS
Unrestricted free agent Evan Turner has reportedly received some interest from the Celtics and Timberwolves.
The former No. 2 overall pick has struggled to stay relevant in the NBA, scoring inefficiently and playing that Swiss cheese defense. His best statistical season came the first half of the 2013-14 season playing for a tanking Sixers team in the role of "someone has to score." He was then traded to Indiana midseason where his ineptitude was put on full display, showing he could not be "effective" without the ball in his hands. He wouldn't have much value on either of the aforementioned teams.

Wed Jul 9 201422:14Wolves interested in Evan Turner
The Wolves have interest in signing unrestricted free agent Evan Turner.
The Pacers didn't extend a qualifying offer to him, and it's obvious there won't be much of a market for him. Turner is one of the least efficient players in the league and he is likely going to join the second unit with whatever team signs him. He won't be worth drafting in most fantasy leagues no matter where he lands

Sun Jun 1 201413:39Evan Turner not likely to return to Indiana
Evan Turner will be a restricted free agent this offseason, but he has likely played his last games wearing the Pacers uniform.
Turner was brought in to be a spark off the bench for the Pacers, but failed to gel with the team as he saw his minutes dip from 21.1 per game during the regular season, to a measly four total minutes throughout the entire Eastern Conference Finals. Turner's need to have the ball in his hands to be effective, mixed with his general lack of a jump shot didn't mesh well with the Indiana roster, and it seems all but certain that Turner will be wearing a different jersey next season.

Wed May 21 201400:54Evan Turner doesn't play in Game 2
Evan Turner was cleared to play in Tuesday's Game 2, but never got into the game.
He was still recovering from his illness and the Pacers didn't feel he was able to go last night. Many would argue that this is good news for the Pacers, but their bench was useless in the loss, and Turner might have been able to at least provide some offense off the pine. With three days until Saturday's Game 3, Turner should be ready to roll in that one. However, how many minutes the Pacers will be comfortable giving him is still the big question.

Tue May 20 201412:35Evan Turner will suit up for Game 2 Tuesday
Evan Turner (strep throat) will play in Game 2 on Tuesday.
Turner did not play in Sunday's Game 1 win over the Heat, but was able to practice Monday and will be available for Tuesday's Game 2. Indiana relied heavily on their starters during Game 1 and Turner didn't play the final two games against the Hawks in the first round, so despite the fact that he's active, we still may not see Turner on the court Tuesday night.

Mon May 19 201413:42Evan Turner (strep throat) back at practice
Evan Turner (strep throat) practiced on Monday and said he's ready to play in Game 2 on Tuesday.
He did not play in Game 1 and the Pacers turned in one of their best games in quite some time. That doesn't really have anything to do with Turner not playing despite how statistically they've been more efficient on offense while Turner is on the bench.

Sun May 18 201423:35Evan Turner (strep throat) probable for Tues.
Pacers coach Frank Vogel expects Evan Turner (strep throat) to return for Game 2 on Tuesday.
Indiana leaned heavily on their starters, with only Luis Scola and C.J. Watson playing more than nine minutes off the bench. Rasual Butler was scoreless in nine minutes and his role should quickly evaporate, but there's no guarantee of big minutes for Turner in the Conference finals -- he didn't play in the final two games vs. the Hawks in the first round, and averaged 14 minutes per game vs. the Wizards.

Sun May 18 201414:50Evan Turner (illness) will not play on Sunday
Evan Turner will not play in Game 1 on Sunday due to strep throat.
He had a terrible series vs. the Wizards, shooting just 33.3 percent from the field in 14.0 minutes per game. C.J. Watson may get a few more minutes at shooting guard and Solomon Hill will be on the active roster for today's home game.

Sun May 4 201420:56Pacers will use normal rotation vs. Wizards
Pacers coach Frank Vogel said he'll return to his typical rotation for Game 1 vs. the Wizards, after benching Evan Turner for the final two games of the first round.
Luis Scola also fell out of the rotation as the Pacers fought back from a 3-2 deficit in the series, but he and Turner will soon resume the roles they held at the end of the regular season. Washington starts a more traditional frontcourt than the Hawks, with Marcin Gortat at C and Nene at PF, so Roy Hibbert should also be poised for a more productive series.

Tue Apr 15 201414:41Evan Turner to start again on Wednesday
Evan Turner will get another start vs. Orlando on Wednesday with the Pacers resting three of their five starters.
Turner led Indy with 23 points, three 3-pointers, seven rebounds and nine assists when he started last Wednesday, so he stands out as a plug-and-play option in the Pacers' season finale. He will return to his usual reserve role in the postseason.

Wed Apr 9 201423:39Evan Turner scores 23 in bizarre start
Evan Turner started as the Pacers rested all five regulars on Wednesday, and hit 9-of-18 shots and three 3-pointers for 23 points, seven rebounds, and nine assists in a crucial win over the Bucks.
Turner was great tonight and props to you if you picked him up and got him into a lineup tonight. We see almost no way the Pacers can go to Miami and not try to win the game, as they currently hold a 1/2 game lead for the No. 1 seed in the East. And if they do, Turner should return to his bench role, meaning he won't be worth using in that one. Stay tuned.
