Turner started with Marcus Smart (suspension) out Sunday and played 39 minutes in an overtime loss to the Pistons. He finished the game with 23 points (10-21 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 1-2 FT), six rebounds, eight assists and three steals.

Turner has now played 30 or more minutes in each of his past three games, and is averaging 16 points per game in those contests. It's very unlikely that he keeps that pace up, especially considering Smart will return to the starting role next game.

Turner posted 17 points, one rebound, and four assists in 33 minutes of action Friday against the Spurs.

Turner is averaging 13.8 points, 4.6 rebounds, 6.0 assists, and 1.4 steals over the last five games. He's worth owning in 12-man leagues due to his multi-category production.

Turner broke out of his slump Friday against the Magic, posting 30 points (12-20 FG, 5-5 FT, 1-3 3Pt), five rebounds, four assists, and two steals in 33 minutes of action.

Turner has been solid over the last five games, averaging 13.6 points, 4.0 rebounds, 4.6 assists, 0.8 steals, and 0.8 three-pointers made. While he's often criticized for his poor shooting percentages, he's managed to go 46 percent from the field and 100 percent (12-12) from the line during that span. His contribution in counting categories make him an asset in standard leagues, and particularly a strong asset in points leagues.

Turner scored 10 points (5-9 FG) with 12 rebounds and 10 assists in 34 minutes during Wednesday's victory over the Knicks.

Turner is averaging 7.3 points, 6.9 rebounds and 6.8 assists through February, but unfortunately is shooting 28 percent from the field. He should only be owned if you are punting field goal percentage.

Turner scored 12 points (4-11 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 4-4 FT) with nine assists, seven rebounds and a steal in 31 minutes during Wednesday's win over the Hawks.

If his ugly field goal percentage doesn't scare you away, Turner has been moderately productive since moving to small forward for the Celtics, averaging 7.4 points, 7.6 boards, 7.0 assists and 1.0 steals in five games.

Turner will move off the ball and start at small forward Tuesday, the Boston Herald's Steve Bulpett reports.

Marcus Smart is getting the start at point guard Tuesday, so Turner's value as a contributor in assists is trending way down, especially after he had just three total dimes in his last two games. He could start to score more, taking on the role Jeff Green vacated, but he probably won't bring much efficiency to that role, and he is already struggling to see a starter's workload.

Turner scored zero points (0-6 FG, 0-2 3Pt), to go with five rebounds, two assists, and a steal in 19 minutes on Sunday.

Turner had a terrible game on Sunday, mainly because he wasn't able to get any offense going. He's a tough player to own because he's not consistent enough to depend on, while performances like this will come up more frequently than most can stomach. However, he has value as long as he's starting and getting minutes.

Turner (thumb) had 10 points (4-6 FG, 2-2 FT), four rebounds and six assists in 27 minutes against the Timberwolves on Wednesday.

Turner learned Monday that his thumb is sprained. It didn't seem to affect him as his Wednesday stat line was right on par with his season averages of 9.2 points, 4.5 rebounds and 4.4 assists in 25 minutes per game.

Turner has been diagnosed with a sprained right thumb after his X-rays came back negative Monday, the Boston Globe reports.

Turner has actually sprained this thumb before and he should be considered day-to-day ahead of Wednesday's game against the Timberwolves as a result. If he's ultimately unable to play, rookie Marcus Smart will likely benefit from added time on the court.

Turner experienced pain in his thumb throughout Monday's game against the Jazz and is scheduled to get X-rays to determine if there's something internally problematic, the Boston Globe reports.

The results of Turner's X-rays will be revealed in due time, although he managed to play through the pain Monday which seems to be a good sign in terms of the potential severity of the injury. Regardless, Marcus Smart will likely see more time on the court if Turner is pushed to the sidelines.

Turner put up 19 points (7-12 FG, 1-1 3 Pt, 4-6 FT), seven rebounds, seven assists, one steal, and one block in 32 minutes.

Turner's production Sunday came with Marcus Smart (personal) out of the equation, but even with Smart in the picture, Turner has performed well lately. Over his last five games, Turner has averaged 12.0 points, 6.2 rebounds, 7.0 assists, 0.6 steals, 0.8 blocks, and 0.8 three-pointers on 50 percent from the field and 63 percent from the free-throw line in 31 minutes per game. While some of those stats are unsustainable for Tuner, he remains a good source of assists for 12-team leagues and larger.

Turner scored 10 points to go with 10 rebounds and six assists in Monday's loss to the Clippers.

Turner is putting up productive counting stats this month - 9.6 points, 6.0 rebounds, 5.7 assists - but his efficiency has plummeted since he began playing more point guard after the Rajon Rondo deal. After shooting 48.2 percent in December and 44.0 percent in November, Turner is down to 38.5 percent in January, and he's attempting more than 10 shots per game.

Turner scored nine points (3-15 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 3-6 FT) and added 15 rebounds, seven assists, and two steals in 38 minutes during Friday's overtime loss to the Pacers.

Jeff Green was held out, pending an expected trade to the Grizzlies. In his absence, Turner saw his workload increase - Turner has typically played between 20-27 minutes per game. Granted, some of Turner's extra minutes came during the extra period, but that only accounts for a portion of the increase. Turner's shooting was typically inefficient, but his high rebound and assist totals show what he is capable of with a bigger workload. Managers with roster flexibility and a tolerance for his poor field goal shooting should strongly consider picking up Turner as a flier. The Celtics rotation is unlikely to stabilize in the immediate future. When it does, Turner could be back in the role he had before this flurry of trades - but he could also end up in a high-minutes spot where he can rack up the counting stats.

Turner scored six points (3-9 FG, 0-2 3Pt) with eight rebounds, seven assists and two steals in 26 minutes during Wednesday's win over the Nets.

Turner may be miscast as a starter in the Celtics' backcourt right now, but over the last six games he's averaging 11.2 points, 5.8 assists, 4.0 boards and 1.3 steals over his last six games, numbers which have some value in deeper leagues.

Turner provided 29 points (12-22 FG, 4-5 3Pt, 1-2 FT) with five rebounds and six assists in 40 minutes in the overtime loss to the Bulls on Saturday. He had seven turnovers.

Turner had averaged 10.0 points in his previous three games, but was able to get hot from the field in the extra long game in Chicago. He had not eclipsed 13 points in his previous 11 games.

Turner moved into the starting lineup Wednesday against the Kings and was able to put up 10 points, six rebounds, 11 assists, and three steals during just 23 minutes on the court.

Turner's minutes have remained relatively the same whether or not he's been a starter this season, and so his battle with Marcus Smart and Jameer Nelson to be the starting point guard doesn't necessarily sway his value one way or the other. Just because he had a solid outing as a starter against the Kings doesn't necessarily guarantee him the starting nod against the Mavericks on Monday, although he'll likely play around the 23.6 minutes that he's averaging this season regardless of where he starts the game.

Turner will get the start at point guard Wednesday according to head coach Brad Stevens

The Celtics have been searching for the right backcourt lineup since they traded Rajon Rondo. One would imagine rookie Marcus Smart would hold down the point guard spot now, since he figures to be the Celtics point guard of the future, but he has not been able to stick in the starting lineup. Expect Turner's stats to remain fairly similar to what he's put up in recent games, with the possibility of a few more assists.

Turner played 27 minutes as a starter in the win over the Timberwolves on Friday. He had 10 points (5-9 FG, 0-2 3Pt), three rebounds, and four assists.

Turner is getting regular minutes and is not providing much of anything. He has not hit a 3-pointer in his last five games (six misses), but has not missed a free throw in that span (five makes). He is only ownable in deeper leagues and will probably give his starting spot to rookie Marcus Smart before too long.

Turner will start at point guard against the Timberwolves on Friday, the play-by-play announcer Sean Grande reports.

Turner will receive the first shot at point guard after the Celtics traded Rajon Rondo on Thursday. Marcus Smart will also be available against the Timberwolves, but he will come off the bench.Turner is averaging 9.0 points, 4.0 rebounds and 3.3 assists in 23 minutes this season, but could receive an increase going forward.

Turner moved into the starting lineup with Avery Bradley (illness) sidelined Friday, but he only managed to contribute 13 points, two rebounds, and one assist during 36 minutes on the court against the Knicks.

Friday's performance was the second-highest minute total that Turner has played throughout his 21 games this season. Considering that Bradley is only dealing with a common illness, Turner's bump in minutes won't likely have much staying power.
