Wed Nov 10 2010 | 01:25 | Butler ho-hum in start for Gordon (shoulder) |
Rasual Butler started at SG for injured Eric Gordon (shoulder) on Tuesday, scoring 10 points on 4-of-12 shooting (2-of-7 from downtown) with five rebounds and one assist in 36 minutes. |
This is probably a good baseline expectation of his production so long as he's starting while Gordon is out. We can't imagine things getting too much better with Chris Kaman (ankle) out, and the Clippers having one less option to draw coverage away from him. |
Tue Nov 9 2010 | 20:04 | Butler starting for injured Gordon (shoulder) |
Rasual Butler will start for injured Eric Gordon (shoulder) at shooting guard on Tuesday, according to the Clippers' television crew. |
Go ahead and get him in your lineup if you're feeling lucky. He's no guarantee for success in a spot-start, but you could do worse if you're in a pinch. |
Sun Nov 7 2010 | 01:47 | Butler could benefit if Gordon injury serious |
Rasual Butler scored eight points on 2-of-6 shooting (including two threes) with three rebounds and no assists in 19 minutes. |
As a backup to Ryan Gomes (49 minutes tonight), he doesn't have any fantasy value averaging eight points and 1.4 threes per game. But if the Eric Gorden (shoulder) injury is serious, there is a chance he could move into his spot and therefore he needs to be watched, not added, for now. |
Wed Jul 28 2010 | 17:22 | Clippers officially re-sign Rasual Butler |
The Clippers have officially re-signed Rasual Butler. |
The sharpshooter is a useful part of the Clippers' rotation, but topping last season's career-high averages of 11.9 points and 1.8 threes per game will be difficult given the presence of Ryan Gomes and Al-Farouq Aminu, both of whom should vie for minutes at small forward. |

Sat Jul 24 2010 | 17:57 | Rasual Butler will stay w/ Clippers |
Rasual Butler will re-sign with the Clippers for the 2010-11 season, according to beat writer Lisa Dillman. |
Details of the contract should soon surface, and the retention of Butler solidifies the Clippers' depth chart. Last year the swingman set a Clippers' single-season record for 3-pointers made in a season (149), but minutes may be scarce thanks to newcomers Ryan Gomes and Al-Farouq Aminu. |

Mon Apr 5 2010 | 00:52 | Butler sets franchise record for threes made |
Rasual Butler set the Clippers' single-season record for 3-pointers made in a season on Sunday, passing Terry Dehere's mark of 139 set in 1995-96. |
He hit just 3-of-12 shots (3-of-11 from downtown) on his record breaking night to finish with nine points, six rebounds, one assist, two blocks, and two steals. He has alternated good and bad nights over his last four games, but he's getting nearly 40 minutes and over 10 shot attempts per game over that time. |
