Sun Jun 20 2010 | 10:41 | Brewers activate Coffey from disabled list |
Brewers activated RHP Todd Coffey from the 15-day disabled list. |
Coffey missed about three weeks with the thumb injury, but he'll rejoin a Brewers' bullpen that could certainly use his presence. He's 2-1 with a 3.91 ERA and a 1.34 WHIP in 26 appearances this season. |
Fri Jun 18 2010 | 23:36 | Coffey (thumb) pitches in rehab game |
Todd Coffey (thumb) pitched a scoreless inning in a minor league rehab appearance with Triple-A Nashville on Friday night. |
He needed only 13 pitches to complete the perfect frame. He was originally expected to join the team on Friday, but Thursday's game for Triple-A Nashville was rained out. There's a chance he will be activated in anticipation of Saturday's game against the Rockies. |

Sat Jun 5 2010 | 18:01 | Coffey sent to Milwaukee for tests on thumb |
Todd Coffey has been sent back to Milwaukee for tests on his bruised thumb. |
The rest of the Brewers are finishing up a weekend series in St. Louis. If further testing reveals anything more serious than a bruise, Coffey could be a candidate for a short stint on the 15-day disabled list. The right-handed reliever has been dealing with thumb discomfort since late April. |
