Tue Feb 26 201309:42Fisher to practice Monday, debut w/ OKC Wed.
Derek Fisher will practice with the Thunder on Tuesday and debut with his new team on Wednesday.
Fisher will wear No. 6 this time around for the Thunder, also known as Eric Maynor's old number. We're just guessing here, but perhaps Fisher's choice for No. 6 has something to do with him chasing his sixth title. Regardless of what number he wears, he's not a fantasy asset in any format.

The Lakers are not interested in opening a roster spot to sign a free agent, a source told Yahoo! Sports.

Sat Dec 22 201217:13Derek Fisher to be waived by the Mavericks
The Dallas Mavericks will waive Derek Fisher, according to Marc Stein of ESPN.com.
According to the report, the move is at Fisher's request. He has been dealing with a knee injury and perhaps this injury may have led to a realization that he might not want to play at age 38. Darren Collison should be able to maintain his starting gig.

Thu Dec 20 201212:38Derek Fisher to be reevaluated next week
Derek Fisher (knee), who will not play on Thursday, will miss at least three games and be reevaluated next week.
Fisher has a right patellar tendon strain. Since he won't be reevaluated until next week, Darren Collison's fantasy arrow is pointing up until further notice. In December, Collison is averaging 11 points, 3.6 assists, 3.1 rebounds and 1.6 steals in 28.5 minutes per game.

Wed Dec 19 201214:53Derek Fisher will sit Thursday against Heat
Derek Fisher (right knee) will not play Thursday against the Heat, according to Rick Carlisle.
Carlisle didn't divulge the results of an MRI that was scheduled for Wednesday, but the initial diagnosis Tuesday was a "strained or sprained patellar tendon." The exam results will provide further clarity, but it wouldn't be a shock if Fisher rests until he's 100 percent. As long as Fisher sits, Darren Collison's fantasy stock will rise.

Fisher was walking after the game, and Rick Carlisle said that it "doesn't look like a serious situation." The initial belief is that Fisher has a "strained or sprained patellar tendon," but the MRI will provide the full picture. Darren Collison's fantasy stock just went up.

Tue Dec 18 201220:56Derek Fisher hurts right knee on Tuesday
Derek Fisher left Tuesday's game against the Sixers with an apparent right knee injury and went to the locker room.
The training staff will check on him and one would think that his 38-year-old frame might not be coming back to the game. Fisher was a game-time decision with the flu, so he's having a tough day. Darren Collison would pick up most of the minutes at point guard.

Derek Fisher will start against the Sixers for Tuesday night's game.
Fisher is dealing with an illness and it's unclear how many minutes he can play. The 38-year-old guard has played 30 minutes per game in his last five contests. Darren Collison will continue to come off the bench.

Tue Dec 18 201219:32Fisher (flu) now says he might try to play
Updating a previous report, Derek Fisher (flu) hasn't ruled himself out yet for Tuesday's game.
If Fisher can't go, Darren Collison will start, and with Fisher clearly not feeling well, Collison should be in line for heavy minutes tonight, either way.

Tue Dec 18 201219:14Fisher out, Brand iffy for Mavs on Tuesday
Derek Fisher (flu) is out and Elton Brand (groin) is a game-time decision for the Mavericks against the Sixers.
Fisher missed shootaround and Darren Collison will start in his place, while groin injuries are always tricky. We should have an answer on Brand soon.

Sat Dec 15 201223:33Derek Fisher scores season-high 20 points
The Mavericks fell in OT on Saturday despite a season-high 20 points from Derek Fisher, who made 5-of-8 FGs (with three 3-pointers) and 7-of-7 FTs in 29 minutes.
Fish added four assists and two steals, but he also turned the ball over five times and we may not see another 20-point game from him all season. He's worth a look for low-end value in 14-team leagues, but that's about it.

Wed Dec 12 201223:54Derek Fisher plays 36 minutes vs. Boston
Derek Fisher played 36 minutes in another start at point guard on Wednesday and had 10 points, three rebounds, four assists, one steal, two blocks and two 3-pointers against Boston.
The 36 minutes were a season high for Fisher and Rick Carlisle seems to trust Fisher because he has been playing him in the clutch. Still, it's tough to own him in standard leagues with his limited upside.

Tue Dec 11 201200:48Fisher torches Aaron Brooks for 11 and six
Derek Fisher scored 11 points on 3-of-6 shooting (including a three) with two rebounds and six assists in the Mavs' 119-96 blowout win over the Kings on Monday.
Fisher consistently took Aaron Brooks to school, and in general owners should keep this outing in perspective against a Kings team that gave up early in the second quarter tonight. O.J. Mayo had 19 points on 6-of-9 shooting (including three treys) with seven rebounds, four assists, and a steal in the win.

Sat Dec 8 201223:44Derek Fisher logs nearly 30 minutes
Derek Fisher scored seven points and handed out five assists in a win vs. Houston on Saturday, improving his record with the Mavericks to 3-1.
Fisher played just under 30 minutes, a barrier he has yet to crack, and he struggled again with his shot at 1-the-5 from the field. Even with a starting job in hand, there's not a lot of upside for Fish in fantasy leagues.

Thu Dec 6 201203:21Fisher scores 15 points in start at PG
Derek Fisher scored 15 points on 5-of-11 shooting (including three treys) with one rebound and two assists in 27 minutes on Wednesday against the Clippers.
This is Fisher's ceiling and it's noteworthy that Darren Collison (18 minutes, five turnovers) was awful tonight. In a deep league Fisher could be worth a look for his 3-point shooting, but expectations should be held firmly in check.
