Thu Oct 28 201023:47Martin scores 17 points off the bench
Cartier Martin was a surprise off the bench in the Wizards' blowout loss on Thursday, scoring 17 points on 5-of-9 shooting (including a three) with two rebounds, two steals, and a block in 23 minutes.
He may have earned some minutes going forward, but not nearly enough to matter in fantasy leagues, especially with Gilbert Arenas and Josh Howard returning at some point. Make him do it again before you bother to look.
Wed Jul 28 201014:54Cartier Martin could get look with Wizards
Michael Lee of the Washington Post reports that the Wizards have a qualifying offer out to Cartier Martin, who should get invited to training camp after playing well in Summer League.
Even if Martin makes the team, he's not likely to get enough minutes to make a fantasy impact even in deeper leagues. The 25-year-old averaged 6.4 points in eight games down the stretch for the Wizards last season.

Fri Apr 9 201012:05Wizards sign Martin for remainder of season
The Washington Wizards have locked in forward Cartier Martin for the final four games of the season.
With Al Thornton out, Martin has pushed James Singleton for play and has created his niche in the Wizards rotation down the stretch. Don't look for him to post a standout game, but if you're in a deep league and struggling for a perimeter player for your championship game, he could be worth a late flier.

Sun Apr 4 201023:00Martin scores 16 points off the bench vs. NJ
Cartier Martin scored 16 points on 4-of-7 shooting (including two 3-pointers) with two rebounds, two assists, and two steals in 22 minutes on Sunday.
He has a ways to go before he has value in fantasy leagues, but if Nick Young spirals downward as he has done in the past owners in deep leagues will want to know what is happening with Martin.
