It's not clear when Schumaker injured himself, but clearly it's more than just a minor tweak. The Cardinals are really being tested by injuries, but they'll at least get Allen Craig (hamstring) back Friday. He seems likely to take Schumaker's spot on the roster. |

In other words, nothing serious. Schumaker made a leaping attempt on Alex Presley's fly ball and collided with the wall. Manager Mike Matheny made the decision to remove him from the game for precautionary reasons. This is good news for Schumaker, and he should be available for the rest of the series against the Pirates. |
