Sat Jan 21 201221:34D.J. White leaves w/ bruised left knee
D.J. White suffered a left knee contusion after banging his knee during Saturday's game, and he will not return.
The injury does not sound serious but it's anyone's guess whether White will be available vs. the Nets on Sunday. Charlotte has copious depth at PF and if White misses any games his minutes will be spread among guys like Tyrus Thomas, Boris Diaw and Bismack Biyombo.

Mon Jan 16 201217:25D.J. White goes for 15 and five off the bench
D.J. White had 15 points, five rebounds and two assists off the bench in Monday's loss to the Cavs.
Coach Paul Silas is already fed up with Boris Diaw and may be getting fed up with starting power forward Tyrus Thomas. We wouldn't be surprised to see White re-join the starting five at some point soon. White started seven games earlier this season, averaging 11.3 points, 6.4 rebounds and 0.9 blocks.

Mon Jan 16 201213:37Bobcats interested in extending D.J. White
The Bobcats are interested in extending D.J. White's contract.
White is making $2 million this season and will be an unrestricted FA next summer. Charlotte could therefore match any offer for White, but it seems they want to keep him off the market entirely.

Sun Jan 15 201214:16D.J. White returns to Bobcats on Sunday
D.J. White practiced on Sunday after leaving the team for a family funeral in Alabama on Saturday.
White returns to a new-look lineup with Tyrus Thomas at PF and Boris Diaw coming off the bench. He showed flashes of improvement as a starter while Tyrus was sidelined, but doesn't figure to carve out enough minutes for fantasy value.

Thu Jan 12 201223:09White is all but done producing for owners
D.J. White scored just four points off the bench on Thursday, adding two rebounds and two assists in 22 minutes.
With Tyrus Thomas back in the fold it's time to drop White in the deep leagues he had been being held in. We'll let you know if he gets another opportunity to produce.

Sat Jan 7 201222:09D.J. White moves to bench, sprains ankle
D.J. White shifted to a bench role for Charlotte on Saturday, playing 19 minutes before leaving with a sprained ankle.
White was solid as a starter and we thought he might hang onto the job for a bit longer, but he was displaced by Tyrus Thomas after just one game. He should be droppable in nearly all fantasy leagues, regardless of the severity of his ankle injury, but keep his hot start in mind in case Tyrus goes down again (which is very possible).

Fri Jan 6 201223:05White nears double-double in loss to Hawks
D.J. White scored 14 points on 7-of-15 shooting with nine rebounds and one block over 28 minutes of Friday's overtime loss.
White is still starting and could even hold his starting job with Tyrus Thomas (knee) back in the fold, and White has provided nice low-end value in 12-team, 8/9 cat leagues the past week. He's not a must-own player but he's certainly worth owning if you need a forward.

Mon Jan 2 201215:00D.J. White could start over Tyrus Thomas
D.J. White had a career-high 21 points on Sunday and Paul Silas says he might keep the starting job, even when Tyrus Thomas (ankle) is healthy.
"He's going to play now," Silas said of White. "Tyrus is going to have to show that he can play better." This makes White an interesting prospect going forward, especially since Thomas still isn't practicing due to the injury. If you're in a deep league and need a big man, White should haul in some boards over the next week or so.

Sun Jan 1 201221:46D.J. White explodes for career-high 21 points
Bobcats PF D.J. White scored a career-high 21 points in Sunday's blowout loss to the Heat, making 10-of-12 FGs with one 3-pointer, three rebounds, two steals and one block.
White was extremely efficient and did his damage in just 27 minutes, but he was the only bright spot for the Bobcats tonight. Prior to this game he was averaging just eight points, six rebounds and 1.3 blocks, and the return of Tyrus Thomas looms as a challenge to White's value.

Wed Dec 28 201122:15D.J. White plays well in Thomas' absence
D.J. White made another start at PF on Wednesday and had eight points, 11 boards and three blocks against the Heat.
He had eight points, five boards and a block in his previous game and is worth a look in deeper fantasy leagues, as Thomas still has no timetabe on his return from a sprained ankle.

Tue Dec 27 201100:39D.J. White starts at PF and scores eight pts
D.J. White started at power forward for the Bobcats on Monday and scored eight points on 3-of-6 shooting with five rebounds, one assist, and one block in 22 minutes.
Tyrus Thomas (ankle) will be healthy soon and that will probably kill any value that White could theoretically have. Don't go adding White as anything but a spot-starter in very deep formats.

Mon Dec 26 201118:01D.J. White to start at power forward for CHA
D.J. White will start at PF for Charlotte on Monday due to Tyrus Thomas' sprained ankle.
Rookie Bismack Biyombo will back him up, but both will take a big hit when Thomas is healthy enough to play.

Sat Apr 9 201100:15D.J. White plays well in loss to Heat
D.J. White had 13 points and eight rebounds in 24 minutes off the bench in Friday's loss to the Heat.
With Tyrus Thomas likely done for the season, White could get some run down the stretch for the Bobcats. Just keep an eye on him.

Sat Mar 26 201101:00White scores career-high 17 points vs. BOS
D.J. White scored a career-high 17 points in Friday's win over the Celtics, hitting 7-of-10 shots from the field with six rebounds, one assist, and one steal in 24 minutes off the bench.
He hasn't done anything to warrant much fantasy attention, but if the playoffs fall out of the picture for the Bobcats he could be given some run. That said, we're only biting if he does this a few more times.

Sun Mar 13 201118:35Tyrus Thomas kills White's performance
With Tyrus Thomas bypassing him in the lineup, D.J. While managed only 12 minutes of play on Sunday netting a total of two points and two rebounds.
While Thomas was out White posted some intriguing lines but it's safe to say that he's returned to the land of fantasy irrelevance.

Mon Mar 7 201121:58D.J White leads Bobcats in bench minutes
D.J. White led the Bobcats in minutes off the bench on Monday, playing 27 minutes total, and scoring nine points on 3-of-9 shooting with six rebounds and a block.
With Tyrus Thomas (knee) returning soon it's probably a moot point, but White has been a preferred option for the Bobcats lately. Owners simply want to keep his name in the back of their heads, as the change of scenery might yield surprising benefits. That said, he still belongs on waivers in most formats.

Sun Mar 6 201100:58D.J. White playing well in Charlotte
D.J. White had 12 points and nine rebounds on 6-of-9 shooting in 26 minutes Saturday.
He had 11 & 7 in his last game and while he's not a guy you'll want to run out and pick up, he's worth keeping an eye on. Just know that he'll lose minutes when Tyrus Thomas returns this week from a knee injury.
