Thu Aug 26 202110:17Brandon Marsh Clobbers First Career Home Run
Los Angeles Angels outfielder Brandon Marsh hit his first career home run on Wednesday during their 10-6 loss to the Baltimore Orioles. He added two singles, five RBI, and a run scored as well. Marsh has been on a tear recently, slashing .429/.462/.633 across his last 13 games. The hot streak has bumped up his average to .267, and he's now slugging .383. Fantasy managers looking for an outfielder can pick up Marsh for the time being until he starts to slow down. He can be a player to stash in dynasty formats, projecting to be like a high average hitter that can steal some bases and provide above-average power.

Sun Aug 22 202108:22Brandon Marsh Doubles In Saturday's Loss
Los Angeles Angels outfielder Brandon Marsh was 1-for-3 with a double during Friday's 5-1 loss to the Cleveland Indians. He struck out twice as well. Marsh got off to a horrible start in his rookie season, with a .471 OPS in his first 22 games, but he's picked up the pace since, slashing .378/.410/.568 during his last 10 games. Overall, he's hitting .231 with no home runs and three stolen bases. Marsh was mostly a high average, good OBP player in the minors, posting a slash line of .288/.371/.440. His power will take time to blossom, but he can be streamed during his current hot streak by fantasy managers needing some outfield help.

Thu Aug 12 202113:59Brandon Marsh Stays Quiet
Los Angeles Angels outfielder Brandon Marsh continued his disastrous rookie season on Wednesday, striking out four times in four at-bats against the Toronto Blue Jays. He now has a 39.5 K% during 24 games this year. To go along with that, Marsh is slashing .155/.259/.211 with no home runs and two stolen bases. There is no reason for Marsh to be kept in redraft leagues, as he's shown no signs of being able to hit big-league pitching. He has relevance in dynasty leagues, but he should be dropped in every other format in favor of another outfielder.

Tue Aug 3 202123:53Brandon Marsh Collects Double In Tuesday's Win
Los Angeles Angels center fielder Brandon Marsh went 1-for-4 with a double, a walk, and a run scored in Tuesday's 11-3 rout of the Texas Rangers. It was a rare positive for Marsh in an underwhelming rookie season. He's hitting .167 with a .229 slugging, no home runs, two RBI, four runs, and one stolen base in 15 games. He swung the bat much better in Triple-A this season, slashing .255/.364/.468 with three home runs across 24 games. Marsh doesn't seem to be in danger of losing playing time with Adam Eaton and Justin Upton platooning. But with Mike Trout (calf) expected to be back at some point this year, he eventually may not have an everyday spot in the outfield if he can't improve. He has more relevance in dynasty formats, but fantasy managers who scooped him up in redraft leagues can wait and see if his offense comes around. However, he shouldn't be started and can safely be dropped if he begins to lose playing time.

Sun Jul 18 202115:41Top prospect Brandon Marsh gets start in center for Angels
ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) — Brandon Marsh is making his major league debut and playing center field for the Los Angeles Angels in Sunday's game against the Seattle Mariners. Marsh is considered the top prospect in the Angels' organization. He was drafted in the second round in 2016 and was batting .382 with two home runs and six RBIs in his last eight games with Triple-A Salt Lake. Manager Joe Maddon said before the game that he hopes Marsh can remain on the roster the rest of the season, even when three-time AL MVP Mike Trout and Justin Upton return from stints on the injured list. “I told (Marsh) don’t think you have to do anything differently. It’s the same game,” he said. Marsh said he was surprised about being called up at this point of the season, especially since he had not been back at Salt Lake that long after missing nearly a month with right shoulder inflammation. Infielder Kean Wong was optioned to Salt Lake to make room for Marsh. ___ More AP MLB: https://apnews.com/hub/MLB and https://twitter.com/AP_Sports
