Sat Jun 4 201115:30Jack Hannahan sits out again
Jack Hannahan (hamstring) is out of the lineup Saturday for the second straight game.
Hannahan is dealing with a tender left hamstring. He's not expected to be out more than a couple days, so a return on Sunday is possible. Adam Everett draws the start at third base Saturday.

Fri Jun 3 201123:47Hannahan out for precautionary reasons
Indians manager Manny Acta said that Jack Hannahan (hamstring) was removed from Friday's lineup for "precautionary reasons."
Hannahan was originally in the lineup for Friday's game against the Rangers, but was scratched due to left hamstring tightness. The Indians don't have any tests scheduled, so he could be back as soon as Saturday.

Fri Jun 3 201117:48Hannahan out with hamstring tightness
Jack Hannahan was scratched from Friday's lineup against the Rangers with left hamstring tightness.
It's probably safe to call him day-to-day right now. Adam Everett will make the start at the hot corner Friday and bat ninth against right-hander Alexi Ogando.

Tue Apr 26 201122:13Jack Hannahan homers twice Tuesday
Jack Hannahan singled and hit a pair of solo home runs in Tuesday's win over the Royals.
The Indians had multiple big offensive showings in this one, as Grady Sizemore, Shin-Soo Choo and Matt LaPorta all went deep, but Hannahan's was certainly the most surprising. He's now hitting .286 with four longballs on the year.

Wed Apr 20 201123:47Hannahan picks up two more RBI
Jack Hannahan went 2-for-4 with two RBI in Cleveland's win over the Royals on Wednesday.
Hannahan is now hitting .240 with nine RBI through his first 50 at-bats. Not overly glamorous numbers, but he should probably be owned in all but the shallowest of AL-only leagues.

Fri Apr 1 201101:06Indians add Hannahan to roster
Indians purchased the contract of INF Jack Hannahan.
Hannahan won the starting third base job after batting .340 with five doubles and four RBI over 53 at-bats this spring. Known more for his glove, he'll likely slide back into a utility role once Jason Donald returns from the disabled list.

Wed Mar 30 201109:59Hannahan wins third base job
Jack Hannahan has won the starting third base job with the Indians.
The job likely would have went to Jason Donald if he didn't fracture the middle finger on this left hand. "Right now, we're happy with Jack," said Indians manager Manny Acta. "We know he's going to play good defense. That was something that was not very good last year." While he plays solid defense, Hannahan has a lowly .224/.311/.347 batting line over 981 plate appearances in the big leagues. He can be safely ignored in fantasy leagues.

Sat Mar 19 201114:23Jack Hannahan the favorite to fill in at 3B
Paul Hoynes of the Cleveland Plain Dealer thinks that Jack Hannahan is the favorite to fill in at third base while Jason Donald (hand) is injured.
Hannahan is a terrific defensive third baseman and is batting .400 over 35 spring at-bats thus far. The proficiency with the bat won't last, but he's capable of filling in for a few weeks until Donald is ready. Jayson Nix should also see some at-bats at the hot corner. Prospect Lonnie Chisenhall will not be considered for April at-bats.

Fri Mar 11 201118:55Hannahan picks up two hits
Jack Hannahan banged out two of Cleveland's 14 hits on Friday, improving his spring average to .400.
In line for some playing time at third base, Hannahan, who just turned 31, is nevertheless looking unlikely to be worth much of a look in AL-only leagues this season. In 981 career major league plate appearances, he is the owner of a .224 average and .311 on-base percentage.

Fri Dec 3 201018:03Indians sign Hannahan to minor league deal
Indians signed 3B Jack Hannahan to a minor league contract.
Hannahan is a very good fielding third baseman but isn't much with the stick, as he's put forth a .224/.311/.347 batting line over 856 career major league at-bats. The Tribe currently have an opening at the hot corner, so it's a good spot for him, but he'll be hoping just to earn a bench role.
Mon Nov 15 201015:28Brewers showing interest in Jack Hannahan
The Brewers have shown initial interest in free agent Jack Hannahan, according to FOXSports.com's Jon Paul Morosi.
Morosi indicates that a minor league deal could be worked out soon between the two sides. Hannahan, 30, did not appear in a major league game this season and wouldn't have much of a shot at cracking the Brewers' big league roster next spring. He finished with a 796 OPS in 2010 at Triple-A.

Thu Jul 22 201018:40Red Sox get Jack Hannahn from Mariners
Red Sox acquired 3B Jack Hannahan from the Mariners for a player to be named later or cash considerations.
Here's an odd one. Hannahan has not appeared in a major league game this year and was batting just .228 with a .675 OPS in 224 at-bats at Triple-A. He's unlikely to reach the big leagues in Boston unless something goes seriously wrong with Adrian Beltre. His last name should be fun for New Englanders.
Tue Jun 1 201015:26Hannahan lands back with Triple-A Tacoma
Mariners sent INF Jack Hannahan outright to Triple-A Tacoma.
Hannahan was designated for assignment last week and cleared waivers without much interest. Probably due to his .190/.297/.270 Triple-A batting line.
Fri Apr 30 201022:33M's send Hannahan to Triple-A
Mariners activated INF Jack Hannahan from the 15-day disabled list and optioned him to Triple-A Tacoma.
Hannahan, who began the season on the disabled list with a strained groin, will continue to get at-bats with Triple-A Tacoma. He should rejoin the big club at some point in the near future.
Fri Apr 16 201014:16Mariners' Hannahan beginning rehab assignment
Jack Hannahan, who has been on the DL with a strained groin, will begin a rehab assignment at Triple-A Tacoma tonight.
The Mariners could return Hannahan to a utility role later this month. He doesn't offer much offensively, but he is a better backup shortstop than Matt Tuiasosopop.
