Brown hasn't practiced since Wednesday and is officially listed as questionable. The Jaguars will likely have to go with Ace Sanders as their No. 3 receiver. Denard Robinson and Stephen Burton could also see an increase in playing time.

Jaguars WR Mike Brown has been sidelined with a back injury this week.
Brown, the Jaguars' No. 3 receiver with Justin Blackmon suspended, played 33 snaps in the opener, reeling in just one pass for 14 yards and dropping his other target. Coach Gus Bradley said the team may promote Jeremy Ebert from the practice squad. However it shakes out, Brown isn't sniffing fantasy rosters.

Brown operated as Jacksonville's No. 3 receiver behind Cecil Shorts and Ace Sanders. The Jaguars talked Brown up this summer, but he didn't show a whole lot on Sunday. Brown is well off the fantasy radar.

Jaguars WR Mike Brown has been running with the first-team offense in training camp.
With Justin Blackmon (groin, active/PUP) out, Brown has been running with the ones opposite Cecil Shorts. "He's a guy that's had a couple of good practices in a row," coach Gus Bradley said. "I keep telling these guys when you compete, it shows up on tape, and he has done that." Brown received praise from GM Dave Caldwell in the spring, and he's carried his play over into the summer.

Jaguars GM Dave Caldwell said he was impressed with WR Mike Brown this spring.
Caldwell mentioned Brown, along with Mohamed Massaquoi and rookie Ace Sanders, as part of the "committee" to replace Justin Blackmon during his four-game suspension. Brown spent much of last season on the team's practice squad, but he drew Wes Welker comparisons from holdover WRs coach Jerry Sullivan. Behind Blackmon and Cecil Shorts, the Jaguars' receiver depth chart is wide open.

Jaguars promoted WR Mike Brown, TE Isaiah Stanback, and LB Brandon Marshall from their practice squad.
Brown drew comparisons to Wes Welker from WRs coach Jerry Sullivan during offseason drills. Stanback is the latest tight-end conversion project after the Jags failed to develop Maurice Stovall and Ernest Wilford in the role. PR Quan Cosby and FB Will Ta'ufo'ou were waived in corresponding moves.
