Sat Aug 21 2021 | 00:05 | Max Fried Completes First Career Shutout |
Atlanta Braves starting pitcher Max Fried was nearly perfect against the Baltimore Orioles on Friday. He went nine innings, five hits allowed, zero earned runs, no walks, and four strikeouts in the 3-0 victory. This was Fried's first career MLB shutout and the young lefty only needed 90 pitches to do it. After this outing, Fried is posting a 3.49 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and 117/34 K/BB ratio over 118 2/3 innings. His next matchup will be more of a challenge against the San Francisco Giants. Despite a tough matchup, Fried needs to be rostered and started in every format. |
