Sun Nov 11 201217:24Jacoby Jones goes for 60 yards, KR touchdown
Jacoby Jones caught two balls for 54 yards in the Ravens' Week 10 win over the Raiders.
The Ravens' coaching staff promised an increased role for Jones, and he came through by securing a 47-yard downfield bomb, as well as returning a kickoff for a touchdown and picking up six yards on an end around. Jones is on the radar for return-yardage fantasy leaguers. He just doesn't offer any appeal for PPR or standard-scoring owners.

Fri Nov 9 201212:37Ravens want Jacoby Jones more involved
Coach John Harbaugh and OC Cam Cameron have both vowed this week to get Jacoby Jones more involved in the Ravens offense.
Torrey Smith and Anquan Boldin continue to struggle against press coverage. Harbaugh suggested that Jones and No. 4 receiver Tandon Doss could see an uptick in playing time as part of a rotation. "Let's keep those guys a little fresher, because Torrey and Anquan, I mean, they'll play every play," said Harbaugh. "They'll go until they can't, so we keep mixing in."

Fri Nov 2 201217:50Jacoby Jones officially probable
Jacoby Jones (foot) is officially probable for Week 9 .
Jones' limited practices appear to be mostly a function of the Ravens' newfound injury transparency. Averaging just 1.9 catches per game, he's off the radar in 12-14 team leagues.

Thu Nov 1 201217:11Jacoby Jones remains limited on Thursday
Jacoby Jones (foot) remained limited in Thursday's practice.
Jones' status is up in the air coming off the Ravens' bye week, but even if he suits up against Cleveland, he won't be a viable WR5.

Wed Oct 31 201216:31Jacoby Jones limited Wednesday
Jacoby Jones was limited in Wednesday's practice with a foot injury.
Jones' injury isn't believed to be serious, and his presence on the injury report is likely little more than the result of the Ravens leaving no stone unturned after they were fined for obscuring Ed Reed's status. With only 13 catches for 202 yards through seven games, Jones isn't a viable WR4/5.

Fri Sep 28 201210:20Jacoby Jones plays 37-of-82 snaps
Ravens third WR Jacoby Jones played 37-of-82 snaps (42.5 percent) versus the Browns in Week 4.
Jones caught just two passes for 17 yards, but did have seven targets. His snap-count has been consistent, falling between 40-45 percent in all four games. Jones will continue to help the Ravens more than fantasy owners going forward.

Mon Sep 24 201200:57Jacoby Jones has nice night in win
Jacoby Jones made three catches for 86 yards in Baltimore's 31-30 Week 3 win over the Patriots.
Jones also drew a critical 27-yard pass interference penalty with only 0:52 remaining, giving the Ravens the ball at New England's seven-yard line. In shades of last season's playoffs, he also muffed a fourth-quarter punt return, but was able to fall on the ball. Jones has been productive through Baltimore's first three games, making seven catches for 153 yards and a score, but remains far too unreliable to be anything other than a WR5 in fantasy leagues.

Sun Sep 16 201218:31Jacoby Jones burns Nnamdi on double move
Jacoby Jones caught one pass for a 21-yard touchdown in the Ravens' Week 2 loss to the Eagles.
Jones beat Nnamdi Asomugha on a beautiful double-move for his first touchdown as a Raven. However, he saw just two targets on the day as the No. 3 wideout for a team that runs mostly double-tight sets. Jones remains off the fantasy radar.

Fri Sep 14 201209:25Jones, Webb splitting punt-return duties
The Ravens will continue to split punt-return duties between Jacoby Jones and Lardarius Webb.
Jones has also lost kickoff return duties to Deonte Thompson, although special teams coordinator Jerry Rosburg was quick to point out the rookie doesn't "own" the job. At this point, Jones isn't a reliable option in return-yardage leagues.

Tue Aug 7 201215:38Jacoby Jones has No. 3 WR job locked up
According to CSN Baltimore, Jacoby Jones already has the No. 3 receiver job locked up.
"This one is over," says beat writer John Eisenberg. "It was Jacoby Jones' job to lose, and he didn't." Despite an impressive offseason, Tandon Doss has failed to make waves in camp due to a hamstring injury. LaQuan Williams has made more plays than sixth-rounder Tommy Streeter, and speedy UDFA Deonte Thompson has "faded a bit lately."

Tue Jul 10 201209:22Jacoby Jones had drop issues in OTAs
According to BaltimoreRavens.com, WR/KR Jacoby Jones "occasionally" struggled with drops during the Ravens' offseason program.
Jones has never been sure-handed, and committed a devastating special teams turnover in Houston's Divisional Round loss last season, muffing a punt. It's not exactly promising that his new team's website is commenting on his hands before camp even begins. Jones has an early bead on the Ravens' No. 3 receiver role, but will make a bigger impact on special teams.

Fri May 25 201211:14Jacoby Jones working with first-team offense
Jacoby Jones is working with the first-team offense in three-wide receiver sets during OTAs.
Jones has seen time both inside and outside, though we suspect Anquan Boldin will be in the slot for most three-wide sets. "(Jones" has done really well," coach John Harbaugh said. "Great attitude. Really hard worker, really, really hard worker. Very fast, big, physical guy." Jones is a near lock to open the season as the No. 3 receiver.

Thu May 17 201208:43Jacoby Jones' Ravens deal is backloaded
Jacoby Jones' two-year deal with the Ravens really has a base value of $6.5 million, with only $2.5 million in the first year.
Jones received a $1.8 million prorated signing bonus, but the Ravens could free up $4 million next offseason by releasing him. Jones is due a $3 million 2013 base salary, with a $1 million roster bonus in the spring. He'll only last one season as a Raven unless he turns it on as a starting-capable wideout.

Tue May 8 201218:43Report: Ravens sign WR/KR Jacoby Jones
The Ravens reportedly signed WR/KR Jacoby Jones to a two-year, $7 million contract.
It's where we suspected Jones would end up all along, despite his postseason flop at Baltimore to end Houston's season. Carolina and Dallas were also interested. The Ravens had one of the least effective return games in the NFL last season, and Jones represents an immediate upgrade on David Reed and LaQuan Williams. Jones is also the favorite to take over as the No. 3 receiver, with Anquan Boldin moving inside in three-wide sets.

Mon May 7 201208:26Jacoby Jones visits Ravens
Free agent WR/KR Jacoby Jones visited the Ravens on Sunday.
The meeting comes three days after Jones visited with the Panthers. According to the Carroll County Times, Jones has planned visits with other "undisclosed" teams. Jones would be in the mix on returns in Baltimore, and presumably get a chance to be the No. 3 receiver.

Sun May 6 201210:29Newman contract holding up Cowboys' spending
The Cowboys are interested in free agent WR/KR Jacoby Jones, but currently do not have the cap space to make an offer.
Terence Newman's $6 million salary won't come off books until June 1, leaving the team with about $2.14 million in cap space in the meantime. This also means that the Cowboys will be unable to sign their 2012 rookie class until next month. If signed, Jones would be favored to beat out rookie Danny Coale for Dallas' vacant No. 3 wide receiver job. He'd also chip in on returns.

Fri May 4 201213:29Jacoby Jones to visit two more ballclubs
Following his Thursday visit to the Panthers, free agent WR/KR Jacoby Jones is scheduled to meet with two more teams before signing a contract.
Carolina is reportedly interested in Jones as a No. 2 receiver, where he would apparently unseat Brandon LaFell and move ahead of David Gettis. We wouldn't be so aggressive in handing Jones that job, but it's going to be an open camp battle regardless. The identity of the other two teams is unknown.

Thu May 3 201216:01Jacoby Jones visiting Panthers on Thursday
Free agent WR/KR Jacoby Jones is visiting the Panthers on Thursday.
The Panthers have options at No. 3 receiver and return specialist with David Gettis and Joe Adams respectively. With visions of competing for the division title now that the Saints are at less than peak strength, though, Jones would add veteran competition at both spots.
