Sun Oct 5 201415:06Crabtree (foot) active for Sunday's game against Chiefs
Crabtree (foot) is active for Sunday's game against the Chiefs.
Crabtree is at full strength heading into a matchup with a stingy Kansas City pass defense. The matchup isn't ideal, but Crabtree could benefit from a few extra targets that would normally go to Vernon Davis, who is inactive with a back injury.
Fri Oct 3 201419:03Crabtree (foot) probable for Sunday's game against Kansas City
Crabtree (foot) is probable for Sunday's game against Kansas City.
Crabtree's Week 4 game against Philadelphia was a disappointment, but he might see even more than the eight targets he saw a week ago since Vernon Davis (back) appears unlikely to play. Crabtree seems like a safe WR2 play in most formats.
Wed Oct 1 201419:51Crabtree (foot) practiced in full Wednesday
Crabtree (foot) practiced in full Wednesday, Matt Barrows of the Sacramento Bee reports.
After leaving Sunday's win against the Eagles for a short time due to a foot injury, Crabtree fended it off by hauling in five balls (on eight targets) for 43 yards. The 49ers' corps of receivers could be without Vernon Davis (back) and Vance McDonald (knee) in Week 5 against the Chiefs, thereby affording Crabtree plenty of looks from Colin Kaepernick. Crabtree has received a combined 28 targets over the last three games.
Wed Oct 1 201418:10Crabtree (foot) took part in practice Wednesday
Crabtree (foot) took part in practice Wednesday, Paul Gutierrez of ESPN.com reports.
Crabtree, who entered Sunday's game against the Eagles with a quadriceps concern, spent a portion of the outing on the sideline due to an injured left foot. With eight or more targets in each of the last three contests, he's one of the primary focuses of Colin Kaepernick's progressions, especially with Vernon Davis enduring back spasms at the moment. Consequently, continue to watch Crabtree's status closely as the weekend draws near.

Crabtree (foot) had five receptions on eight targets for 43 yards in Sunday's win over Philadelphia.
Crabtree left the game in the first quarter with a foot injury, but returned, and was able to finish the game. He dropped a pass at one point, and was wide open on what would have been about a 20-yard touchdown in the second half, but Colin Kaepernick threw a terrible pass that the wide receiver could not get to. Assuming his foot is not an issue next week, he should bounce back against Kansas City at home.
Sun Sep 28 201417:27Crabtree able to return to contest
Crabtree, who left Sunday's game against the Eagles in the first quarter with a left foot injury, was able to return to the contest.
Great news for the 49ers, given Crabtree's history of foot woes, though it's possible that the issue might end up limiting the wideout at practice next week.

Crabtree left Sunday's game against the Eagles in the first quarter with a left foot injury, csnbayarea.com reports.
Prior to leaving the game, Crabtree caught a two-yard pass. We'll continue to monitor Crabtree's status, but it's worth noting that he's had issues with the same foot in the past.
Sun Sep 28 201415:20Crabtree (quadriceps) active for Sunday's game against Eagles
Crabtree (quadriceps) is active for Sunday's game against the Eagles, the Sacramento Bee reports.
Crabtree is out there Sunday on the heels of a 10-catch, 80-yard effort against the Cards in Week 3. He leads the 49ers with 24 targets through three contests and will take aim at a Philadelphia squad that has allowed 61 points over its last two games.

Crabtree (quadriceps) is probable for Sunday's game against Philadelphia.
Crabtree's health is little or no concern heading into Sunday, as he practiced fully Friday. He has what looks like a nice matchup against a Philadelphia pass defense that made Kirk Cousins look great Sunday. He could see particularly favorable targets if Vernon Davis (ankle, questionable) sits again.
Thu Sep 25 201420:05Crabtree (quadriceps) practiced fully Thursday
Crabtree (quadriceps) practiced fully Thursday, the Sacramento Bee reports.
Crabtree's appearance on the injury report is a sudden development, after sidestepping the listing Wednesday. The occurrence marks his second time on the report this season, but first time in his career with an ailing quad. However, he still managed to fit in every rep, which bodes well for his availability Sunday versus the Eagles. Friday's injury report could clear up whether or not he enters the weekend as a safe option at wide receiver.

Crabtree had 10 receptions (11 targets) for 80 yards with a touchdown in Sunday's loss at Arizona.
Crabtree had trouble shaking free on any long pass plays, but he was dealing with Patrick Peterson most of the game. After putting up a dud in Week 1, Crabtree has been very productive the last two games. He probably won't see 11 targets when Vernon Davis (ankle) is healthy enough to play, but the veteran wide receiver is clearly a big part of San Francisco's passing attack.

Crabtree had seven catches for 82 yards and a touchdown on nine targets in Sunday's 28-20 loss to the Bears.
Crabtree bounced back from an unproductive Week 1, but his most notable play was a bobbled pass that turned into a beautiful interception by Bears rookie cornerback Kyle Fuller. To be fair, Colin Kaepernick was mostly at fault, as Crabtree was well covered on the play, and essentially tied Fuller to the ball. Next week brings a matchup against the talented Arizona secondary, but Crabtree could see more looks if Vernon Davis (ankle) can't play.

Crabtree (calf) had just two receptions (three targets) for 25 yards in Sunday's 28-17 win at Dallas.
Crabtree's lack of production was a simple case of game flow, as San Francisco jumped all over the Cowboys, leading 28-3 at halftime. In fact, Colin Kaepernick ended up attempting just 23 passes, with the 49ers protecting such a big lead. Assuming Crabtree came out of Sunday's game without a setback, expect him to put up better numbers in Week 2, taking on the Bears at home.
Sun Sep 7 201415:20Michael Crabtree: (Ankle) Active Sunday
Crabtree (calf) is active Sunday at Dallas, SFGate.com reports.
Crabtree emerged from pregame warmups unscathed and will start opposite Anquan Boldin. With a friendly matchup in store -- the Cowboys allowed 286.8 passing yards per game last year -- Crabtree is a good bet to produce, as long as he fends off his calf concern.
Sun Sep 7 201412:58While it looks like Crabtree (calf) will start Sunday
While it looks like Crabtree (calf) will start Sunday, the 49ers still want to see how he responds in pre-game workouts, Chris Mortensen of ESPN reports.
While we expect Crabtree to play, this report adds a little bit of uncertainty over his health for Week 1.
Fri Sep 5 201418:03Crabtree (calf) questionable for Sunday's game against Dallas
Crabtree (calf) is questionable for Sunday's game against Dallas.
Although he's technically listed as questionable, Crabtree will almost certainly play. He logged limited practices Thursday and Friday, and no reporter covering the 49ers thinks there's any chance that he sits Sunday. He has a fine matchup against a Dallas defense that looks bad in every regard.
Thu Sep 4 201420:31Crabtree (calf) limited in Thursday's practice
Crabtree (calf) was limited in Thursday's practice, CSN Bay Area reports.
Absent Wednesday with his second leg issue since training camp opened, Crabtree was able to fit in some activity Thursday. However, he previously missed 10 days of training camp in 2010 due to a calf concern, so his status should be watched closely as Sunday's opener at Dallas draws closer.
Thu Sep 4 201417:45Crabtree (calf) returned to practice Thursday
Crabtree (calf) returned to practice Thursday, Matt Maiocco of CSN Bay Area reports.
Crabtree's participation level is unknown, but his presence bodes well for active status heading into Week 1 in Dallas. Although his odds for taking the field should be clarified by the release of Friday's injury report, he missed 10 days of training camp 2010 with the first calf injury of his career. If he sits Sunday, the bulk of the targets would land in the hands of Anquan Boldin and Vernon Davis.
Wed Sep 3 201420:39Crabtree (calf) didn't take part in practice Wednesday
Crabtree (calf) didn't take part in practice Wednesday, CSN Bay Area reports.
Crabtree is again dealing with a leg concern, as he formerly missed 16 days during camp due to an injured hamstring. The severity of the calf issue is unclear, but his availability for Sunday's game in Dallas may not be hammered out by the time the final injury report of the week rolls out Friday.

Crabtree caught his lone target for a 10-yard gain in Saturday's preseason game against the Chargers.
Having now played in consecutive preseason games, Crabtree seems to be past the hamstring issue that bothered him in early-to-mid August. His weight is down from last season, and it won't be at all surprising if he rebounds to the form he showed in 2012. However, Crabtree has far more competition for targets than he did two years ago, and the 49ers still don't figure to pass as often as most teams.
