Mon Dec 2 201313:17Anthony Fasano suffered Week 13 concussion
Anthony Fasano suffered a concussion and a "bit of a knee sprain" in Sunday's loss to Denver.
Fasano will have to go through the NFL's protocol concussion testing to have a chance to play in Week 14 against the Redskins. The knee sprain sounds like a day-to-day thing. If injury-plagued Fasano doesn't receive full clearance in time, the Chiefs would likely start Sean McGrath at tight end.

Sun Dec 1 201320:49Fasano goes for 28 yards & touchdown
Anthony Fasano caught three balls for 28 yards and a touchdown in the Chiefs' Week 13 loss to the Broncos.
Fasano is basically Scott Chandler Part II, a touchdown-dependent commodity who pays dividends as a streamer when and only when he scores a red-zone TD. He happened to do so this week. Will he next week against the Redskins? Your guess is as good as ours. Fasano never offers fantasy upside.

Sun Nov 24 201318:06Anthony Fasano gets into the end zone
Anthony Fasano caught four passes for 21 yards with a touchdown in Sunday's Week 12 loss to the Chargers.
Fasano was wide open on a goal-line bootleg play for his second touchdown in as many weeks. He was also targeted on a screen play, but looked like he was running in quicksand as he got smothered. Despite the touchdowns, Fasano would be a really weak TE2 play in the Week 13 rematch with the Broncos. He has very little athletic ability.

Mon Nov 18 201301:31Anthony Fasano finds end-zone in Week 11
Anthony Fasano caught four passes for 37 yards and a touchdown in Week 11 against the Broncos.
Fasano made an impressive 10-yard touchdown catch in the back of the end-zone late in the fourth quarter and secured all four of his targets from Alex Smith. He's still no higher than the No. 5 option in the passing game and won't be more than a low-end TE2 in Week 12 against the Chargers.

Tue Oct 22 201319:02Anthony Fasano logs heavy workload in return
Anthony Fasano played 91.5 percent of the Chiefs' offensive snaps in his return to the lineup on Sunday.
Fasano missed four games with knee and ankle issues before playing 65-of-71 snaps against the Texans. Coach Andy Reid hinted that will remain the case going forward. "That's an important position in this offense," Reid said. "With the exception of the running backs, it's the closest eligible receiver to the quarterback 99 percent of the time. Normally, it ends up being your quarterback's security blanket." Fasano is just a TE2, while Sean McGrath is back off the fantasy radar.

Active for the first time since Week 2, Anthony Fasano caught four passes for 27 yards in Kansas City's Week 7 win over the Texans.
Fasano was immediately reinserted into the starting lineup, and will remain there going forward. He's not a particularly compelling plug-and-play TE2 in Kansas City's conservative offense.

Fri Oct 18 201318:31Anthony Fasano upgraded to probable
Chiefs TE Anthony Fasano (knee/ankle, probable) was limited in Friday's practice.
The probable tag means Fasano is expected to play Sunday against the Texans. We'd hold off on rostering Fasano outside of 14- and 16-team leagues, but he's going to be Alex Smith's primary tight end moving forward. After a Week 6 goose egg, expect Sean McGrath to take a backseat in the passing attack.
