Anthony Fasano caught two passes for eight yards in the Chiefs' Week 1 win over the Jaguars.

Mon Mar 11 201309:49Fasano a down-low free agent target?
The Sideline View's Adam Caplan considers TE Anthony Fasano someone to "keep an eye on" after the first wave of free agency.
The 28-year-old (in April) tight end has just 205 catches across 108 career games, but Caplan believes teams will come away impressed with his tape. Fasano has always been a bit underrated, but with the tight end market unusually loaded, he picked the wrong year to reach free agency.

Sat Jan 5 201321:38Dolphins not expected to re-sign TE Fasano
The Dolphins are not expected to prioritize re-signing TE Anthony Fasano this offseason.
An impending unrestricted free agent, Fasano finished with a career-high 41 catches this season, but was rarely a factor in the passing game and there's been no indication that he'll be brought back. The Dolphins will likely look to replace Fasano in-house with TE/FB Charles Clay and 2012 third-round pick Michael Egnew.

Sun Dec 23 201217:06Fasano a non-factor against Bills
Anthony Fasano was held to two catches for 12 yards in Week 16 against the Bills.
With Davone Bess sidelined, Fasano saw just four targets from Ryan Tannehill, and has only 77 yards over his last three games. He's been mostly a non-factor all year for the Dolphins, but maintained low-end fantasy value due to his ability to score touchdowns. Third-round pick Michael Egnew was active for the first time this season and saw limited snaps as the "move" tight end.

Sun Dec 16 201216:12Fasano goes for 56 yards & touchdown
Anthony Fasano caught six balls for 56 yards and a touchdown in the Dolphins' Week 16 win over Jacksonville.
Fasano was the box-score beneficiary of Davone Bess' (back) inactivity, hauling in a red-zone score and playing in the slot often. Fasano will still be difficult to trust as a desperation tight end play in Week 16 against the Bills. He lacks playmaking ability and has been a fantasy non-factor all year.

Anthony Fasano caught two passes for nine yards and a touchdown in the Dolphins' Week 14 loss to the 49ers.
He was targeted four times. Fasano's touchdown looked like it should've been overturned on replay, but the officials opted against it. Fasano has not caught more than two passes in a game for seven weeks now.

Fri Dec 7 201219:36Fasano returns to full practice for Fins
Anthony Fasano (hip) returned to a full practice on Friday and is listed as probable for Week 14 against the 49ers.
Fasano was limited in the previous two days of practice, but he'll be fine to go. However, he's far off the fantasy radar and should not be owned in 12- or 14-team leagues. Fasano has caught exactly one pass in each of the past six games.

Sun Nov 25 201217:25Anthony Fasano catches one ball
Anthony Fasano caught one pass for 10 yards in the Dolphins' Week 12 win over the Seahawks.
Fasano was limited by his hip injury and Charles Clay is a more explosive pass-catcher anyway. Fasano has exactly one catch in each of his last five games.

Sat Nov 24 201212:37Fasano downgraded to questionable for Sunday
Anthony Fasano (hip) has been downgraded to questionable for Sunday's contest against the Seahawks.
Fasano wasn't on the injury report all week, so this comes as a bit of a surprise. Michael Egnew would be in line for the start if Fasano is unable to play.

Anthony Fasano was held to one catch for eight yards versus the Colts in Week 9.
The Colts defend tight ends well, and Sunday was no exception. Fasano reeled in just one of four targets. He's on pace for a 48/376/6 stat line heading into Week 10 versus the Titans.

Sun Oct 28 201218:32Fasano hauls in third touchdown against Jets
Anthony Fasano caught a four-yard touchdown in Week 8 against the Jets.
Fasano was non-existent in the passing game and had just two targets. He managed to score his third touchdown of the season on a four-yard fade from Matt Moore in the back of the end-zone. Despite his scoring potential, Fasano won't be a recommended fantasy option in Week 9 against the Colts.

Sun Oct 14 201217:36Anthony Fasano posts 4/33/1 line against STL
Anthony Fasano caught four passes for 33 yards and a touchdown in Miami's Week 6 win over the Rams.
The score was Fasano's second of the season. Fasano can be counted on for 3-4 catches per week, but with just two touchdowns and 176 yards, he's an extremely low upside bye-week fill-in.

Sun Oct 7 201217:08Fasano catches just three passes in Week 5
Anthony Fasano caught just three passes for 28 yards in Week 5 against the Bengals.
Fasano was targeted four times on the day. His lack of after-the-catch skills and playmaking ability keeps Fasano off of the fantasy radar.

Sun Sep 23 201218:21Anthony Fasano held to 47 yards in Week 3
Anthony Fasano caught five passes for 47 yards in Week 3.
His previous weekly high was 19 yards. Fasano is a full-time player in an offense desperate for pass catchers to step up, so it's telling that he's struggled so much for viable fantasy production. He's not worth holding as a TE2.

Mon Jun 25 201210:50Anthony Fasano doesn't fit with Philbin?
The Palm Beach Post suggests that Anthony Fasano could be a "square peg in a round hole" in the Dolphins' new offense.

Wed Jun 6 201211:07Anthony Fasano unlikely to return in 2013?
The Dolphins' new coaching staff is emphasizing run-after-the-catch among skill-position players.
Anthony Fasano is a strong blocker with reliable hands, but he doesn't offer the RAC ability of H-back Charles Clay or rookie Michael Egnew. Entering the final year of his contract, Fasano could be allowed to walk in 2013. The Palm Beach Post suggests power-running teams such as Tony Sparano's Jets and Brian Daboll's Chiefs could show interest in Fasano next year.

Tue Mar 27 201220:22Philbin is a big fan of Anthony Fasano
New coach Joe Philbin hinted that TE Anthony Fasano will maintain a significant offensive role in 2012.
"I really thought Fasano played well. I thought he caught the football well," said Philbin. "... We like what we saw there." There had been early offseason speculation that Fasano's roster spot was in jeopardy with a $3.6 million salary. Philbin's comments suggest he's safe after all.

Tue Feb 7 201215:37Fasano might have to restructure contract
Anthony Fasano might have to restructure his $3.6 million salary to stay with the Dolphins in 2012.
Fasano's salary counts $4.375 million against the cap. Although he came on strong after a disappointing first half, Fasano's 2012 salary is a high number for a mediocre starter. New coach Joe Philbin has already stated that an explosive young tight end is on his wish list.
