Fri Dec 21 201213:52Brian Hartline listed as questionable
Brian Hartline (back) is listed as questionable for Week 16 against the Bills after Friday's return to practice.
Hartline was listed as questionable in Week 9 as well -- that time with a hamstring injury -- but he was in the starting lineup on game day. Expect a similar scenario this week. Hartline would still be a bottom-barrel WR3 play.

Fri Dec 21 201211:12Hartline returns for Friday's practice
Brian Hartline (back) returned to practice on Friday.
Davone Bess (back) is on the field as well, but he's mostly watching. Of the Dolphins' top two receivers, Hartline has a much better chance of suiting up in Week 16 versus the Bills.

Thu Dec 20 201215:15Hartline held out of Thursday's practice
Brian Hartline (back) was held out of Thursday's practice.
It's a concern after getting in a limited session Wednesday, but teammate Marcus Thigpen said he expects Hartline to play versus the Bills this week. He's Rotoworld's No. 41 receiver for Week 16.

Wed Dec 19 201217:18Brian Hartline limited on Wednesday
Brian Hartline (back) was limited in Wednesday's practice.
There was some speculation that it was an ankle injury that caused Hartline to exit Sunday's win over Jacksonville, but his ankle appears to be fine. While we expect him to suit up against the Bills, the fact that Hartline hasn't topped 100 yards in his last six games and hasn't scored since his monster Week 4 performance makes it difficult to trust him as a WR3.

Sun Dec 16 201216:26Brian Hartline goes for 77 yards in Week 15
Brian Hartline caught five balls for a team-high 77 yards in the Dolphins' Week 15 win over the Jaguars.
Hartline exited Sunday's game in the fourth quarter with an apparent ankle injury. Before going down, Hartline was Miami's most effective outside receiver, racking up catches against Jaguars LCB Rashean Mathis. With his health in doubt and Stephon Gilmore next on the slate, Hartline will not be a recommended WR3 in fantasy finals week against the Bills.

Sun Dec 9 201219:23Hartline held to 34 yards in Week 14 loss
Brian Hartline caught just two passes for 34 yards in the Dolphins' Week 14 loss to San Francisco.
Hartline was targeted eight times. He's simply not talented enough to win one-on-one battles consistently against physical pass coverage. Consider Hartline a dicey WR3 option when the Dolphins face Jacksonville in Week 15.

Sun Dec 2 201218:41Brian Hartline leads way with five catches
Brian Hartline caught five passes for 84 yards in the Dolphins' Week 13 loss to the Patriots.
After Davone Bess dropped an easy pass on the first drive of the game, Hartline was Ryan Tannehill's favorite target. He ended up with 10 targets, representing more than a third of Tannehill's 29 attempts. However, there's little WR3 upside here. Hartline has one touchdown all season and is on pace for 1,188 yards. Of course, 253 of those yards came in his fluky Week 4 explosion at Arizona.

Sun Nov 25 201217:25Brian Hartline struggles to two catches
Brian Hartline had two catches for 17 yards in the Dolphins' Week 12 win over the Seahawks.
Lining up outside, Hartline struggled to gain separation from Brandon Browner and Richard Sherman. So Ryan Tannehill attacked the middle of the field with Davone Bess and Charles Clay. Expect a bounce-back game from Hartline against the Patriots in Week 13, but he's just a WR4 with the bye weeks behind us. He has one touchdown all season.

Brian Hartline caught four passes for 49 yards in Miami's Week 11 loss to the Bills.

Sun Nov 11 201217:44Brian Hartline grabs eight passes in loss
Brian Hartline caught eight passes for 79 yards in the Dolphins' Week 10 loss to the Titans.
Hartline had a shot at a touchdown on a go route, but the pass was broken up on a nice play by fast-closing Jason McCourty. Hartline still had a strong fantasy day as he racked up garbage-time catches after the Dolphins fell behind 31-3 in the third quarter. He remains Ryan Tannehill's favorite receiver, leading the way with 10 targets in this one. Hartline will be a strong WR3 against the Bills next week.

Sun Nov 11 201211:44Brian Hartline active, as expected
Dolphins WR Brian Hartline (hamstring) is active for Sunday's game against the Titans, as expected.
Hartline got in full practices all week and appears to be 100 percent for this one. He's a WR3 option against the Titans' 27th-ranked secondary. As a whole, the Dolphins are incredibly healthy for this one. Their inactives: QB Pat Devlin, T Will Yeatman, TE Michael Egnew, WR Rishard Matthews, TE Jeron Mastrud and DB Anderson Russell.

Wed Nov 7 201220:28Hartline back to full practice for Dolphins
Brian Hartline (hamstring) practiced in full on Wednesday.
Hartline was limited last week after tweaking a groin injury on Thursday before Week 9. He suited up against the Colts and had an eight-catch, 107-yard afternoon. Hartline has only found the end zone once this season and has been as inconsistent as it gets, but he has a juicy matchup with a woefully bad Tennessee defense this Sunday.

Sun Nov 4 201217:48Hartline leads Miami with 107 yards in Week 9
Brian Hartline led the Dolphins with eight receptions for 107 yards versus the Colts in Week 9.
Hartline was expected to be monitored by trainers throughout, but his groin injury wasn't a factor. He was targeted a team-high 12 times as Ryan Tannehill looked to exploit his matchup with Jerraud Powers. Hartline now has three 100-yard games, all in 2012. Although he's been incredibly inconsistent, Hartline is on pace for an 82/1,324/2 stat line heading into a Week 10 bout with the Titans.

Sun Nov 4 201209:05Report: Hartline will suit up and play Sunday
According to Profootballtalk, Brian Hartline (groin, questionable) will play on Sunday versus the Colts.

Fri Nov 2 201220:02Brian Hartline 'expects to play' in Week 9
Brian Hartline (questionable, groin) "expects to play, barring complications" against the Colts in Week 9.
Hartline popped up on the injury report with a "limited" Thursday practice. The fact that he bounced back to participate in a limited portion of Friday's practice suggests the groin pull wasn't too serious. Rotoworld's Chris Wesseling and Mike Clay rank Hartline as the No. 40 fantasy receiver play for Week 9.

Fri Nov 2 201214:13Brian Hartline listed as questionable
Brian Hartline (groin/hamstring) is listed as questionable for Week 9 against the Colts.
Hartline was added to Thursday's injury report as "limited", and he's now shaping up as a game-time decision for Sunday. The Dolphins would likely turn to Jabar Gaffney opposite Davone Bess if Hartline couldn't play. Considering his recent drought in production, Hartline is a low-end WR3 even if he starts.

Thu Nov 1 201216:47Brian Hartline added to injury report
Brian Hartline was added to the Dolphins' Week 9 injury report with a groin issue Thursday, getting in a limited practice.
Hartline was a full-go Wednesday, so he likely tweaked something in today's session. Mid-week downgrades are never good news, but for now there's no reason to assume Hartline won't be ready for Sunday's game. His status will be updated on Friday.

Brian Hartline caught four passes for 41 yards in Week 8 against the Jets.
Hartline was held without a catch in Week 6 and is trending in the wrong direction with Ryan Tannehill (knee, quad) in jeopardy of missing next week's game. Through the first eight weeks, Hartline has 29 receptions for 514 yards and one touchdown. He'll look to get back on track with favorable matchups in his next three games (at Indianapolis, Tennessee, at Buffalo).

Mon Oct 15 201211:46Brian Hartline was limited by quad issue?
Coach Joe Philbin had no answers for why Brian Hartline was held without a catch in Sunday's win over the Rams.
"Listen, they had us out of rhythm," was all Philbin said. Hartline didn't record an official target, but did draw an 11-yard pass interference call and was later targeted on a play that didn't count due to penalty. The Sun-Sentinel suggests that Hartline could have been limited by a quad issue, partially leading to a complete inability to separate from Cortland Finnegan. Hartline should be 100 percent when the Dolphins come out of their bye in Week 8, but might draw the shadow coverage of Antonio Cromartie.
