Chandler caught all three of his targets in Sunday's win over Cleveland, but totaled just two yards. He was on the field for 63 percent of the offensive snaps, The BuffaloNews reports.
The Bills worked newcomer MarQueis Gray into the offense pretty quickly, and it seems to have cost Chandler some potential production. This is not a great passing offense, and with Chandler having several options ahead of him in the pecking order and a modest 32/337/2 line through 12 games, he remains on the outer reaches of fantasy consideration.

Chandler caught all three of his targets for 28 yards and his second touchdown of the season in Monday's win over the Jets.
With a 29/335/2 line through 11 games and at least four other options ahead of him in the passing game, Chandler remains on the outer reaches of fantasy tight ends. But hey, it was cool watching him score and give tribute to the snowed-out people of Buffalo with an end zone shovel dance.

Chandler caught three passes on six targets for 17 yards in Sunday's loss to the Chiefs. He was on the field for 75 percent of the team's offensive snaps, according to WGR550.com.
Chandler was almost gifted a touchdown when Bryce Brown fumbled on the way to the end zone and the ball ended up in Chandler's big mitts, but the tight end couldn't hang on and the ball scooted out of the end zone for a safety. Following a 6/105/0 outing in Week 6, Chandler hasn't put up more than 36 receiving yards in any of his past three outings.

Chandler was targeted just twice in Sunday's win over the Jets, but scored his first touchdown of the season, a 12-yarder that was one of Kyle Orton's four TD passes.
The Bills are at the halfway point, and the big tight end's numbers (23/290/1) are slightly behind last year's, when he put up a decent 53/655/2 mark in 16 games. That said, we're not giving up on him even though no tight end will ever be elite fantasy-wise in this offense. Orton has started the last four games and he's proven far more capable of finding Chandler than EJ Manuel. In those four Orton starts, Chandler has a 14/174/1 mark, much better than the pace with Manuel. He's also been targeted 22 times by Orton compared to 13 by Manuel. We think Chandler's a decent play as a deeper option with Orton at the helm, though it'd be nice if the team started using him more in the red zone, something that hasn't been the case for much of the past two seasons. Maybe Sunday was a start.

Chandler had six catches on nine targets for 105 yards Sunday against the Patriots.
With Sammy Watkins drawing Darrelle Revis all game and Mike Williams inactive, Chandler saw more passes thrown his way than any other game this season, and became the first Bills tight end to have more than 100 receiving yards in a game since Pete Metzelaars in 1992. Despite the breakout performance, it's tough to rely on Chandler for good solid production given that he's finished with fewer than 30 yards in four of six games this season.

Chandler caught all five of his targets during Sunday's loss to the Chargers, good for 74 yards.
Not bad production at all, though he's still looking for his first touchdown and doesn't even have a red zone target yet. Still, if we're looking on the bright side of things, Chandler did seem to have more room to go out for passes with blocking tight end Lee Smith finally returning from injury.

Chandler was targeted once and failed to register a catch in Sunday's win over Chicago.
This was the first time since late in the 2011 season that the big tight end failed to log a catch. Chandler is the clear-cut top tight end in this offense, but there are a good number of weapons and, like teammate Mike Williams, it seems like he'll serve this season as more of a red-zone threat and not a guy who gets more than a modest volume outside the opponent's 20-yard-line.

Chandler (knee) is not listed on the Bills' Wednesday practice participation/injury report.
Chandler's Week 1 status seems secure, and while he's not among the league's flashy fantasy options at tight end, he could carve out some utility in deeper formats in 2014, given that he and wideout Mike Williams figure to slot in as the team's top two red-zone targets.
Mon Sep 1 201412:41Chandler (knee) back practicing with team Monday
Chandler (knee) is back practicing with the team Monday.
All signs point to Chandler being able to go Week 1 after missing the final preseason game against Detroit. Chandler probably won't get as many catches as the NFL's top tight ends in this offense, but he and receiver Mike Williams are probably the team's top two red zone targets.

Chandler didn't play Thursday's preseason game against the Lions due to a knee injury, the Buffalo News reports.
The exact details about Chandler's knee injury haven't been released, but it's likely a minor injury that won't stop him from playing in the regular season opener against the Bears in Chicago. If he's unable to play for whatever reason, Lee Smith will stand the most to gain.

Chandler (groin) made his 2014 preseason debut Friday against the Carolina Panthers
Chandler failed to haul in his only target, but the important thing is that he got back on the field. He's still locked in as the Bills' top tight end, with the guys behind him either hurt and/or unimpressive.

Chandler (groin) participated in 11-on-11 drills during Tuesday's practice.
Chandler was full-go in 7-on-7 drills, and eventually moved on to team scrimmages, confirming an earlier report that he'd be back in action Tuesday. He's expected to serve as the Bills No. 1 tight end in 2014, which should place him in the 75-80 target range.
Tue Aug 5 201418:45Chandler (groin) expected to practice Tuesday
Chandler (groin) is expected to practice Tuesday.
Chandler had sat since Sunday, July 27, but it appears he is over the groin injury at this point. He remains locked in as Buffalo's top tight end.

Chandler (groin) is not expected to play in Sunday's preseason Hall of Fame Game against the Giants, The Buffalo News reports.
Chandler has been missing almost everything involved in training camp practices for the last week except for working on the side with trainers. He's been in the league long enough where if he can get into at least a preseason game or two it shouldn't affect his value for the 2014 season. Chandler is expected to be the top tight end once again, and his only real competition for looks, Tony Moeaki, is also out with an injury.

Wed Jun 4 201422:37Scott Chandler cleared for team drills
Bills TE Scott Chandler (knee surgery) has been cleared for team drills.
Chandler opened OTAs limited after his scope, but he's progressed to 11-on-11s and should be 100 percent long before training camp. "I'm progressing back in rehab and stuff, feeling a lot better," said Chandler. "It's been a big step for me, got to get in there a little bit more with the team work." Chandler, now 29 years old, will remain a low-ceiling TE2 in 2014 fantasy leagues.

Fri May 30 201413:19Scott Chandler missing OTAs
Bills TE Scott Chandler (knee surgery) is not participating in OTAs.
Tony Moeaki, Chris Gragg, and blocker Lee Smith are picking up extra reps. We wouldn't be surprised if a healthy Moeaki cut into Chandler's snaps once he gets healthy. Chandler finished 2013 with a 53-655-12.4-2 receiving line.

Sat Mar 22 201419:58Chandler gets two-years, $4.76M from Bills
Scott Chandler's two-year contract with the Bills is worth an average of $2.38 million per season.
The deal includes a $1.2 million signing bonus. It's actually less than Chandler made last year and contains no other guaranteed money beyond this season. The re-signing of Chandler won't prevent the Bills from drafting a tight end.

Thu Mar 13 201417:37Bills re-sign TE Scott Chandler for two years
Bills re-signed TE Scott Chandler to a two-year contract.
Chandler drew no known interest elsewhere. Turning 29 over the summer, Chandler is coming off a "career-year" that saw him post 653 yards and two touchdowns. With an erratic E.J. Manuel at the helm and Chandler possessing next to no movement skills, he'll be lucky to finish 2014 as a TE2.
