Although Chancellor (groin) is active for Sunday's game against the Raiders, he is not in uniform, the Everett Herald's John Boyle reports.
A strange decision by the Seahawks, who could have just made Chancellor inactive and used the extra active roster spot on someone else. In any case, DeShawn Shead will likely start at strong safety in Chancellor's place.

Chancellor (groin) is questionable for Sunday's game against Oakland.
Chancellor didn't show up on the injury report until Friday, at which point he was listed as a DNP on the practice report. That implies he suffered the injury after Thursday's practice or during Friday's. Either way, it makes Chancellor highly questionable for Sunday. With Jeron Johnson out, Chancellor's backup appears to be DeShawn Sneed or Steven Terrell.

Chancellor is considered a game-time decision for Sunday's Week 6 contest versus Dallas due to a hip injury, ESPN reports.
Chancellor, who has also been carrying an ankle injury this season, did not practice this week. With his status unclear, the Seahawks activated safety Steven Terrell from their practice squad, presenting a contingency plan to add depth in case Chancellor does not play. Should that prove true, Jeron Johnson would figure to start at strong safety for Seattle. Nonetheless, Chancellor's availability should be monitored as Sunday's 4:25 ET kickoff approaches.

Chancellor (ankle) is questionable for Sunday's game against Dallas.
Chancellor didn't practice at all this week, so it seems like a tall task for him to suit up against Dallas, especially considering how much punishment Chancellor subjects himself to with his big hitting. Jeron Johnson looks like the next safety in line if Chancellor sits.

Absent from the injury report Wednesday, Chancellor now appears uncertain for Sunday's game against the Cowboys after missing practice due to the ankle injury. He did battle an ankle issue in late September, and it's at least possible his absence Thursday was for maintenance purposes, but he'll likely need to return to at least a limited practice Friday in order to have a realistic chance to suit up for Week 6.

Mon Aug 4 201416:55Chancellor (hip) returned to practice on Monday
Chancellor (hip) returned to practice on Monday, ESPN reports.
Chancellor was sidelined for the early portion of Seahawks training camp following a minor offseason hip procedure. While he only participated in early drill work during Monday's session, it appears Chancellor is slowing beginning his return to full speed, a promising sign for Seattle's lauded secondary. Considering the Seahawks open the preseason this Thursday, it's highly unlikely Chancellor will suit up and he could even miss the following exhibition contest as well. Nonetheless, the physically imposing Chancellor should be fine for the regular season and has posted three straight campaigns of at least 90 tackles, making him an superb IDP play with potential to top the century mark in 2014.
