Sun Dec 22 201311:13Daniel Thomas expected to play Sunday
NFL Network's Albert Breer reports the Dolphins expect Daniel Thomas (ankle, questionable) to play Sunday at Buffalo.
Thomas did very little in practice this week, and only figures to be available for a bit role behind Lamar Miller. Still, Thomas' presence at all limits Miller's flex appeal. Miller is a dice-roll fantasy option against the Bills.

Fri Dec 20 201314:50Daniel Thomas listed as questionable
Daniel Thomas (ankle) is listed as questionable for Week 16.
Thomas aggravated his ankle-ligament injury in last week's win over the Patriots. His status for Week 16 figures to come down to a game-time decision. If Thomas is declared inactive on Sunday, Lamar Miller would have some flex-play appeal, but we won't know Thomas' status until just before game time.

Thu Dec 19 201318:19Daniel Thomas misses another practice Thu.
Daniel Thomas (ankle) remained out of Dolphins practice on Thursday.
It's unclear how serious Thomas' aggravation of his high-ankle sprain is. He should be considered questionable for Week 16. What Thomas is able to do on Friday will be key. Thomas won't be a recommended FLEX option if he suits up against Buffalo.

Daniel Thomas (ankle) did not practice Wednesday.
Thomas aggravated his high-ankle sprain last week. It doesn't sound like it's too serious because Thomas practiced a bit on Tuesday. If Thomas plays this week against Buffalo, he'll be part of the committee with Lamar Miller.

Wed Dec 18 201308:21Daniel Thomas aggravates ankle issue
Daniel Thomas aggravated his left ankle sprain during the fourth quarter of Sunday's win over the Patriots.
It doesn't look like a serious aggravation as Thomas was able to get some limited work in during Tuesday's workout. For now, he can be penciled in as a low-upside committee back behind Lamar Miller. The Dolphins are in an obvious letdown spot as they travel to the Ralph to take on the Bills this week. It would be very dangerous to assume they are going to get a lead and pound the rock.

Sun Dec 15 201318:27Daniel Thomas manages receiving TD
Daniel Thomas rushed five times for 16 yards in Miami's Week 15 win over the Patriots, adding a two-yard catch for a touchdown.
Thomas got out-touched 16-6 by Lamar Miller, but notched the duo's only score. It was yet another game where the Dolphins seemed to have no real plan for the workload delineation amongst their running backs. Thomas will be a low-ceiling, touchdown-dependent FLEX option for the fantasy finals in Week 16.

Mon Dec 9 201313:40Fins didn't think Thomas would play on Weds.
Dolphins OC Mike Sherman acknowledged the team didn't even envision Daniel Thomas (ankle) playing in Week 14 as of last Wednesday.
Thomas went on to rush 16 times for 105 yards and a touchdown in one of the best games of his wholly underwhelming, three-year career. "It was a possibility he might not be able to come back [this season]," said Sherman. "On Wednesday, we never envisioned him even playing this week. It's a credit to our training staff and to him." With Lamar Miller now facing concussion testing, Thomas has a chance to be a feature back in Week 14 versus New England.

Tue Nov 26 201310:09Daniel Thomas may not miss entire season?
According to USA Today, Daniel Thomas (ankle) may not miss the entire rest of the season.
Thomas has a severe ankle sprain, likely of the "high" variety. An injury like that typically involves torn ligaments which can take at least a month to heal. There are only five weeks left in the season, so the Dolphins have to decide whether they can afford to keep Thomas off injured reserve. Regardless, he won't be playing anytime soon and can be dropped across the board.

Mon Nov 25 201312:26Report: Daniel Thomas likely done for season
According to the South Florida Sun-Sentinel, Daniel Thomas (ankle) is likely done for the season.
Thomas reportedly tore ligaments in his left ankle on an awkward tackle from Captain Munnerlyn during Sunday's loss to the Panthers. It leaves Lamar Miller as the unquestioned feature back and every-down player for the final five games of the year, with Mike Gillislee and Marcus Thigpen as backups. Thomas did show improvement this season as he forged a committee with Miller, rushing 77 times for 279 yards (3.62 YPC) with three touchdowns. We've still seen nothing to suggest the 2011 second-round pick will ever be a plus running back in the NFL. Thomas will be back in 2014 for the final year of his rookie contract.

Daniel Thomas left Sunday's Week 12 game against the Panthers in the third quarter with an apparent ankle injury.
After catching a short pass from Ryan Tannehill, Thomas tried to shed Captain Munnerlyn but got caught from behind. His legs bent under his body and his ankle appeared to turn the wrong way. Thomas had to be helped off the field and threw his helmet in disgust as he arrived at the bench. He had three carries for eight yards and two catches for two yards before leaving. Lamar Miller will be an every-down back as long as Thomas is out.

Sun Nov 17 201319:18Daniel Thomas impresses in win over SD
Daniel Thomas rushed 10 times for 57 yards with a touchdown in Sunday's Week 11 win over the Chargers.
Thomas out-touched Lamar Miller 11 to six, and outplayed him as well. Showing good power and tackle-breaking ability, he served as the goal-line back and got full series to himself throughout the game. Over the last five weeks, he's averaging 9.4 carries per game as this backfield takes a hot-hand approach behind a poor offensive line. There won't be any upside in Thomas or Miller against the Panthers in Week 12.

Daniel Thomas (ankle) remained limited in Thursday's practice.
There's been no indication that Fumblin' Dan is in danger of missing Sunday's game against the Chargers, but his Friday status will be key. If you're starting Thomas in a fantasy league, it's likely already too late.
