Revis left Sunday's game against the Bengals in the third quarter with a hamstring injury, and his return is questionable.
Revis had been doing a great job against A.J. Green, who scored a 17-yard touchdown on the first play after the cornerback's injury. With Brandon Browner inactive, the Patriots will give Kyle Arrington and Logan Ryan more playing time in Revis' absence.

Revis was on the field for 65-of-74 snaps on defense in Sunday's loss to the Dolphins, ESPN.com reports.
Revis, who missed the final nine snaps of the game because of cramping, recorded one tackle in the game, a reminder that his fantasy counting numbers often don't reflect his value to his team's defense in real terms.

The Patriots are reportedly trying to extend Revis' contract with the team, the Boston Globe reports.
Revis signed a two-year, $32 million deal with the Patriots in March, which includes a team option for the second year that includes a $12 million roster bonus and a hefty cap hit of $25 million. With those terms in mind, and given how much he has impressed the team with his skills thus far, it's no wonder that the Patriots are looking to work on his deal, with an eye toward keeping the shut-down cornerback around beyond 2014.

Tue Apr 1 201409:24Darrelle Revis' knee is no longer an issue
According to Darrelle Revis' trainer, Brett Fischer, the cornerback's surgically-repaired knee is 100 percent and no longer an issue or talking point.
"He's so fired up," Fischer said. "I think fans in New England are going to see a guy who is even better than in the past because he has rehabilitated himself from the ACL. . It's a non-factor." Revis will be full-go for the offseason program.

Mon Mar 17 201414:01Report: Jets weren't interested in Revis
ESPN New York reports the Jets weren't interested in Darrelle Revis before he signed with the Patriots.
There was considerable sound and fury about a potential Revis reunion with the Jets, but according to reporter Rich Cimini, Gang Green never reached out. Speaking on a Monday conference call, Revis claimed as many as 26 teams inquired, but the Jets have moved on from the Revis era (and it's massive salaries). It's probably for the best that the sides didn't try to recapture the past.

Thu Mar 13 201411:45Revis' contract contains option for 2015
Darrelle Revis' "one-year," $12 million contract with the Patriots includes a club option for a second year.
USA Today's Tom Pelissero reports the Patriots would have to pay Revis a $12 million roster bonus on April 1 of 2015, before a $7.5 million base salary plus $500,000 in per-game roster bonuses in order to keep him for a second season. Rather than exercise the option, New England would likely negotiate a long-term deal with Revis if he meets their standards of on- and off-field performance in 2014. But it's clear this could be more than a one-year marriage.

Thu Mar 13 201408:06Report: Patriots eyeing Revis for long-term
The Patriots are reportedly interested in eventually doing a long-term deal with Darrelle Revis.
Revis will play out this season on a one-year, $12 million deal. After a "feeling-out period," extension negotiations could get underway. Per the NFL Network's Albert Breer, the Patriots see this as a rare opportunity to hold on to the game's No. 1 corner. It's also worth noting that unlike Revis' old Jets contract, there is no language in this deal that prevents the Patriots from using the franchise tag on him in 2015.

Wed Mar 12 201420:27Patriots sign Darrelle Revis for 1 year, $12M
Patriots signed CB Darrelle Revis to a one-year, $12 million contract.
Revis, 29 in July, finished his lone season in Tampa with 50 tackles, two interceptions, and two forced fumbles across 16 starts, making a successful recovery from his 2012 ACL tear. Despite being used improperly by since-fired coach Greg Schiano in zone coverage, Revis remained the top corner in the NFL. He will slide right into Aqib Talib's old shadow corner role in Foxboro and provide an upgrade, eliminating opposing top wideouts. It's a perfect match of player and scheme. The Patriots beat out the Jets and Browns for Revis' services. In particular, look for RE Chandler Jones to benefit from Revis' lockdown back-end coverage with a breakout season.

Wed Mar 12 201419:42Revis' camp: Darrelle to NE 'going to happen'
A member of free agent Darrelle Revis' camp predicts to the New York Daily News that Revis signing with the Patriots is "going to happen."
"It's going to happen," the anonymous camp member predicted. This is all we have to go off of, so take it with a grain of salt. But reports have been that the Patriots were one of the many teams to express interest in Revis before he was ultimately let go by the Bucs. Patriots players are supposedly lobbying for Bill Belichick to pony up the cash for Revis. The NY Daily News also reports the Jets and Revis' camp have discussed a reunion, one Rex Ryan and Revis would seem to be very interested in. Revis is our No. 1 overall free agent.

Wed Mar 12 201415:33Bucs can't find a trade partner, cut CB Revis
Buccaneers released CB Darrelle Revis.
WIth the Bucs facing a 4 PM ET deadline, they couldn't find a trade partner to take on Revis' $16 million. The Browns and Raiders were reportedly interested in acquiring the soon-to-be 29-year-old but wanted him to restructure his deal. That wasn't going to happen. Revis now gets to pick his next team, and NFL Network's Ian Rapoport has mentioned the Patriots, Jets, Falcons, Eagles, and Giants as possible suitors. There will undoubtedly be more. Revis vaults to the top of the free-agent market and is easily the top player available.

Wed Mar 12 201412:55G-Men made 'exploratory' Revis call
ESPN New York reports the Giants made an "exploratory call" on Darrelle Revis, but don't expect to acquire him.
Any team worth its salt is at least checking in on Revis, but the Giants aren't a realistic destination. They're more than one Darrelle Revis away from getting back to the top of the NFC East, and need to get younger, not older.

Wed Mar 12 201411:10Patriots make call about Darrelle Revis
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport confirms the Patriots have placed a call about Darrelle Revis' availability.
RapSheet reports the Patriots have "expressed interest in a trade," though it would be rather surprising if they gave up anything substantial. They may also simply wait for Revis to be released, which will occur today by 4PM ET if the Buccaneers can't find any takers. The Jets, Browns, and Patriots appear to be entrenched in a fight to land Revis. We'd view New England as the (very) tentative favorite, and also wouldn't rule out Philadelphia making a run.

Tue Mar 11 201423:46Darrelle Revis would 'love' to join Patriots
CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora reports Darelle Revis "would love to be a Patriot."
The New York Daily News reported earlier in the day that Revis would "love" to be a Jet. Revis wants to get paid, and he wants to be able to pick his own team. Look for Revis to be released by the Bucs on Wednesday and quite possibly sign with the highest bidder. The Raiders have already dropped out of the running. After losing Aqib Talib, look for the Pats to pursue Revis hard.

Tue Mar 11 201420:39Report: Revis would 'love' reunion with Jets
The New York Daily News reports Darrelle Revis would "love" a reunion with the Jets.
Revis has found the grass isn't always greener away from Gang Green. The Jets are in the market for a new No. 1 corner after releasing Antonio Cromartie, and will certainly look into Revis if/when he hits the open market. They'll likely be one of the finalists.

Tue Mar 11 201419:59Report: Darrelle Revis trade now 'unlikely'
NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reports a Darrelle Revis trade is now "unlikely."
Revis' refusal to take a pay cut to facilitate a trade has stopped talks dead. It's 100 percent the right move by Revis, who is taking ownership of his future instead of kowtowing to second-tier franchises like the Browns and Raiders. He's not going to make $16 million per year, but he'll be handsomely rewarded as a free agent.

Tue Mar 11 201417:03Raiders out of the Revis sweepstakes
The San Francisco Chronical's Vic Tafur reports the Raiders have ended their pursuit of Darrelle Revis.
Revis reportedly was unwilling to restructure his contract and the $16 million cap number that comes with it. The Buccaneers need to trade or release Revis before Wednesday to avoid paying a $1.5 million roster bonus.

Tue Mar 11 201414:31Revis trade talks to drag into Wednesday
ESPN's Adam Schefter reports Darrelle Revis trade talks are expected to "drag into Wednesday."
Wednesday at 4ET is the deadline the Bucs have set to either have Revis traded away, or release him. Schefter confirms both the Browns and Raiders "are talking" to the Bucs about a potential trade. Each team is flush with salary cap space and could fit Revis under its cap. According to Schefter, the Bucs have been "attempting" to trade Revis since the Combine in mid to late February.

Tue Mar 11 201413:33Report: Raiders 'strong players' for Revis
The San Francisco Chronicle reports the Raiders are "strong players" for Darrelle Revis.
Reporter Vittorio Tafur also confirms the Browns are firmly in the mix. It's unclear if the Raiders would be willing to trade for Revis at his current salary, but they certainly have the cap room. Trade would be Oakland's only means of acquiring one of the game's top corners, as there's almost no way he'd sign as a free agent with a team so far away from contention.
