Sun Dec 15 201311:30Thompkins, Dobson officially inactive for NE
Patriots declared WRs Kenbrell Thompkins (hip) and Aaron Dobon inactive for Week 15 against the Dolphins.
Both players are week to week. Thompkins and Dobson's absence leaves Josh Boyce as the Patriots' starting "X" receiver. He can't be trusted as more than a WR5 for fantasy purposes. With Rob Gronkowski also out of the fold, Danny Amendola's snaps should continue to rise. Also inactive for the Patriots are DE Jake Bequette, LB Steve Beauharnais, TE D.J. Williams, OG Chris Barker and DE Michael Buchanan.

Sat Dec 14 201320:03Kenbrell Thompkins (hip) downgraded to out
Kenbrell Thompkins (hip) has been ruled out for Week 15.
Thompkins practiced on a limited basis throughout the week, but will miss his second straight game. The Patriots will be without both Thompkins and Aaron Dobson (foot) against the Dolphins. Josh Boyce should see an expanded role at X receiver, but remains off the fantasy radar.

Fri Dec 13 201316:18Kenbrell Thompkins questionable for Sunday
Kenbrell Thompkins (hip) is listed as questionable for Week 14 at Miami.
Thompkins was limited in practice all week, just as he was last week. He then missed Week 14 against the Browns. Thompkins' status is up in the air. Your guess is as good as ours on whether he'll play. Don't count on him.

Thu Dec 12 201316:37Kenbrell Thompkins still limited Thursday
Kenbrell Thompkins (hip) remained limited in Thursday's practice.
Limited tags are useless with the Patriots, offering zero clues as to his Thompkins' Week 15 status. It's entirely unclear if he's ready to resume "X" receiver duties. Fantasy owners can't be counting on Thompkins for the second week of the fantasy playoffs.

Wed Dec 11 201319:16Thompkins (hip) limited Wednesday
Kenbrell Thompkins (hip) was limited in Wednesday's practice.
Thompkins was inactive last week's game against the Browns after getting in a full slate of limited practices, so we really have no idea if he'll play this week against the Dolphins. Thompkins would be nothing more than a WR4.

New England's remaining inactives are RT Marcus Cannon, RB Brandon Bolden, DE Jake Bequette, LB Steve Beauharnais, and TE Michael Hoomanawanui.

Kenbrell Thompkins (hip) is listed as questionable for Week 14.

Wed Dec 4 201311:24Kenbrell Thompkins present for practice
Kenbrell Thompkins (hip) was spotted riding a bike at Wednesday's practice.
It doesn't look like Thompkins is going to participate in practice, which would make him questionable for Sunday's game against the Browns. Aaron Dobson (foot) wasn't even spotted at all at practice. Look for Tom Brady to rely heavily on Rob Gronkowski, Shane Vereen, Julian Edelman and Danny Amendola again.

Sun Dec 1 201320:42Kenbrell Thompkins shut it down due to hip
Kenbrell Thompkins only played three snaps after sustaining a hip injury during Sunday's win over the Texans.
Thompkins tried to gut it out, but couldn't move well enough to stay on the field. And with Aaron Dobson (foot) also sidelined, Tom Brady simply moved away from the "X" spot in the offense. Rob Gronkowski and Julian Edelman each racked up 12 targets. The severity of Thompkins' injury is unknown.

Sun Dec 1 201313:45Kenbrell Thompkins playing through hip issue
Kenbrell Thompkins was forced from Sunday's game against the Texans with a hip injury, but returned a short time later.
Thompkins skied for an overthrown ball before landing extremely hard on his hip. He was spotted in pain on the sideline before departing for the locker room. Thompkins was briefly replaced by Josh Boyce, but returned a short time later. It's possible he'll rotate snaps with Boyce for the game's final three quarters.

Mon Nov 25 201302:25Thompkins has expanded role in Week 12
Kenbrell Thompkins caught six passes for 56 yards in Sunday night's Week 12 win over the Broncos.
Thompkins didn't make his first catch until the opening drive of the third quarter, but was heavily involved in the second half. He played ahead of Aaron Dobson in two-wide sets and finished with nine targets. After being a healthy inactive in Week 10, Thompkins has worked him back into the passing game over the last two weeks. He still isn't more than a WR5 in standard leagues, but could re-emerge as a fantasy option if he continues to play over Dobson.

Tue Nov 19 201300:44Thompkins catches two passes in Week 11 loss
Kenbrell Thompkins caught two passes for 60 yards in Week 11 against the Panthers.
One game after being a healthy inactive, Thompkins returned to the lineup and picked up two big gains on his lone two targets. He played sparingly behind Aaron Dobson but made the most of his opportunities. Both catches came on deep slants that Thompkins turned up field for gains of 37 and 23. His 37-yard grab got the Patriots to the one-yard line in the fourth quarter. Stevan Ridley pounded it in on the next play to tie the game at 17-17. Thompkins isn't worth owning in re-draft leagues. He's the No. 4 wideout.

Tue Nov 12 201309:28Kenbrell Thompkins now battling for No. 4 job
OC Josh McDaniels said Kenbrell Thompkins and Josh Boyce will compete for the No. 4 wideout job.
The Patriots top-three wideouts are Danny Amendola, Aaron Dobson and Julian Edelman. Thompkins and Boyce are just battling to see who will dress on Sundays. KT can be dropped across the board in re-draft formats.

Mon Oct 28 201310:28Kenbrell Thompkins played just 14 snaps
Kenbrell Thompkins played on just 14-of-65 snaps (21.3 percent) in Sunday's win over the Dolphins.
It's a season-low in snaps for Thompkins, as he had no catches and played far behind Aaron Dobson (50 snaps) for the second time in three weeks. His role as the every-down X receiver has been lost. And with Danny Amendola/Rob Gronkowski healthy, there aren't as many targets to go around. Thompkins can be dropped in shallow fantasy formats.

Sun Oct 27 201317:10Kenbrell Thompkins plays behind Aaron Dobson
Kenbrell Thompkins was held without a catch in the Patriots' Week 8 win over the Dolphins.
Thompkins was a non-factor against Miami as Aaron Dobson handled the vast majority of New England's X receiver snaps. With Danny Amendola back healthy, it appears Thompkins has been deemed the odd man out of the Patriots' three-wide sets. He's just a WR4/5 stash in re-draft leagues at this point. Thompkins' midseason pace stats don't matter when he isn't getting any playing time.

Sun Oct 13 201320:08Kenbrell Thompkins catches game-winner
Kenbrell Thompkins caught three passes for 45 yards and the game-winning touchdown in Sunday's Week 6 win over the Saints.
Thompkins was extremely quiet all game long. But with under 10 seconds left and the Patriots trailing 27-23 with no timeouts, Tom Brady showed faith in his rookie. He tossed a jump ball to Thompkins despite being well covered by Jabari Greer and Thompkins somehow came down with the game-winner. It's his fourth touchdown of the season in six games, although the UDFA has cleared 47 yards just once. Thompkins will be a WR3 in touchdown-heavy leagues against the Jets in Week 7.
