Thu Sep 18 201416:35Allen added to Chargers' injury report Thursday
Allen was added to the Chargers' injury report Thursday, the team's official site reports. The wideout was listed as limited by a groin injury.
We'll revisit Allen's status Friday, though at this stage there has been nothing to suggest that the wideout's Week 3 status is in peril.

Allen (ribs) caught five passes on six targets for 55 yards in Sunday's 30-21 win over Seattle.
Allen wasn't shadowed by Richard Sherman the entire game, but he did get the better of the star cornerback on a couple of passes. Still, it was a tough matchup for Allen, and Phillip Rivers primarily focused on veteran Antonio Gates, who caught three touchdowns. The second-year Allen hasn't got on track yet from a fantasy perspective, but keep in mind he's faced some of the best corners in the league through the first two games. His Week 3 opponent Buffalo is a solid defensive unit, but they don't have a star in the secondary like that of Patrick Peterson or Sherman.

Allen (ribs) caught only five of his nine targets for 37 yards Monday night.
Allen drew a tough matchup against the Cardinals, so we wouldn't be overly concerned, and his nine targets were tops on the team. A healthy Malcom Floyd could cut into his opportunities somewhat, however
Mon Sep 8 201421:09Allen (ribs) active for Monday's game against Cardinals
Allen (ribs) is active for Monday's game against the Cardinals, the San Diego Union-Tribune's Michael Gehlken reports.
As expected, Allen is out there and in line to serve as the Chargers' top wideout Monday, on the heels of 2013 campaign in which he recorded 71 catches for 1,046 yards with eight TDs in 15 games.

Allen (ribs) practiced fully all week in advance of Monday's game against the Cardinals, the Chargers' official site reports.
Though Allen is listed as probable by the Chargers for the game, his status for the contest is in no real doubt, which is more than can be said about TE Antonio Gates, who was added to the team's injury report Saturday, as questionable with a hamstring issue.
Thu Sep 4 201420:04Allen (ribs) practiced fully Thursday
Allen (ribs) practiced fully Thursday, the Chargers' official site reports.
At this stage, there is nothing to suggest that Allen's rib issue will prevent him from suiting up in Monday's game against the Cardinals. He's slated to remain the Chargers' top wideout this season, with Malcom Floyd in line to occupy the starting spot opposite Allen.
Sun Aug 24 201418:13Allen caught only target for 15 yards in Sunday's preseason game...
Allen caught his only target for 15 yards in Sunday's preseason game against the 49ers.
After missing the first exhibition game, Allen has two catches for 28 yards and a touchdown on three targets through two appearances. It wasn't a particularly active preseason for the second-year pro, but he's locked in as the top wide receiver in what should be a productive offense. Even with a bit more competition for looks, Allen figures to top last season's 105 targets.
Wed Aug 13 201421:05Although Allen sat our practice Wednesday
Although Allen sat our practice Wednesday, the receiver claims he'll play Friday against the Seahawks, ESPN's Eric Williams reports.
Allen wasn't deployed in the Chargers' first preseason contest, but it looks as if he'll be ready to challenge Richard Sherman and the Seattle Seahawks on Friday night. He claims he's healthy, and although players can't be trusted 100 percent to diagnose their own health, the confidence he's exhibiting is encouraging. Fantasy owners targeting him as a WR1 likely want to see him at least run a few routes in the preseason, and it appears this wish will be granted.
Wed Jun 4 201411:18Allen has been focused in improving speed
Keenan Allen has focused on improving his speed this offseason.
One of the main reasons Allen fell to the third round of last year's draft was a dog-legged 4.71 forty at his Pro Day. But he was coming off a PCL tear and has now been able to put some effort into gaining long speed. Allen, who posted one of the best rookie years by a wideout in NFL history, will need that extra juice as he adjusts to being the focal point of defenses. We're confident he'll be able to make the adjustment while getting peppered with targets as Philip Rivers' go-to guy.

Sun Jan 12 201420:02Keenan Allen pops off for 6-142-1 in defeat
Keenan Allen grabbed six catches for 142 yards and two touchdowns in San Diego's playoff loss to Denver.
The Chargers' passing game was a complete non-factor in the first half, as Allen, Antonio Gates, Eddie Royal, and Vincent Brown all went into the tunnel without a catch. Allen finally recorded a reception midway through the third quarter, good for 19 yards. Allen made his next three catches count, scoring twice from 16 yards out and securing a 49-yard bomb deep down the seam, briefly giving San Diego life. Despite opening the season as San Diego's No. 4 receiver, Allen emerged as Philip Rivers' go-to guy by midyear and recorded one of the best rookie wideout seasons in NFL history. He'll go toe-to-toe with Eddie Lacy in the NFL's Offensive Rookie of the Year voting, and offer WR1 upside in 2014 re-draft leagues.

Sun Jan 5 201416:47Keenan Allen held to 21 yards in victory
Keenan Allen caught two balls for 21 yards in the Chargers' Wild Card round win over the Bengals.
The Chargers went the entire first half attempting six passes, with Allen seeing the lone target among Bolts wide receivers. It fell incomplete. Allen's first reception occurred early in the third quarter for a gain of nine over the middle on a short-yardage pass, and he tacked on a 12-yard reception later in the frame. Expect more contribution from the NFL Rookie of the Year candidate in the Divisional Round. Philip Rivers wound up with only 16 attempts and 128 yards in Sunday's victory.

Sun Dec 29 201320:47Keenan Allen goes for 89 yards in Week 17
Keenan Allen caught five balls for 89 yards in the Chargers' Week 17 win over the Chiefs.
Allen ends an ROY-caliber regular season with 71 catches for 1,046 yards and eight touchdowns. We suspect Eddie Lacy will get the Rookie of Year nod over Allen, but the voting needs to be very, very close. Already one of the top-ten route-running receivers in football, Allen showed remarkable separation skills despite sub-par speed throughout his first NFL campaign, and was highly effective in the red zone. By season's end, there wasn't a pass catcher on San Diego's roster Philip Rivers trusted more. Allen will be a top 15-20 wide receiver target in 2014 re-draft leagues. He's already a top 12-15 Dynasty wideout.

Thu Dec 12 201323:53Keenan Allen drops two scores on Broncos
Both of Keenan Allen's catches went for touchdowns in San Diego's Week 15 win over the Broncos, as the sensational rookie wideout finished with 29 yards.
The Chargers dialed up only 19 pass attempts in their upset win, resulting in just five targets for Allen. Allen's first look was a botched third-down attempt in the red zone, as he ran the wrong route near the end zone. He made up for it one series later, taking a simple crossing route 19 yards to the house. He punctuated it with a daring leap over a defender. Allen's second score came on a perfectly-thrown fade from Philip Rivers, where he simply out-muscled rookie CB Kayvon Webster. Now with back-to-back two-score games, Allen will remain a high-end WR2 for Week 16 against the Raiders.

Thu Dec 12 201319:06Keenan Allen officially active for Week 15
Keenan Allen (shoulder) is active for Week 15 against the Broncos.
As is Eddie Royal (toe). Allen's shoulder injury wasn't a concern after he got in a full week of practice. He's a high-end WR2 in a game that has shootout potential. Inactive for the Chargers are CB Johnny Patrick, S Brandon Taylor, OT Kenny Wiggins, WR Lavelle Hawkins, OG Steve Schilling, NT Kwame Geathers and QB Brad Sorensen.
