Mon Dec 9 201319:12Keenan Allen (shoulder) practices in full
Keenan Allen (shoulder) practiced in full Monday.
The Chargers conducted a walkthrough -- they didn't actually practice -- but it's still good news. Allen will be fine for Thursday night's game against the Broncos after he sprained his shoulder Sunday against the Giants.

Mon Dec 9 201316:55Keenan Allen fully expected to play Week 15
The Union-Tribune San Diego fully expects Keenan Allen (shoulder) to be ready for Week 15.
Chargers coach Mike McCoy said "we're very healthy right now" in Monday's presser, and emphasized that the team escaped Sunday's win without any serious issues. Allen played through the issue against the G-Men, and said he was prepared to do so for the rest of the season. He'll remain a high-end WR2 for Week 15 against the Broncos.

Sun Dec 8 201320:40Keenan Allen suffered Week 14 shoulder sprain
Keenan Allen's Week 14 injury is being called a shoulder sprain.
Allen returned from the injury to finish out Sunday's dominant win over the Giants, and shouldn't be in any danger of missing game action moving forward. Perhaps the Chargers will limit Allen's practice reps ahead of the Denver game. Allen is in the driver's seat to be NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year.

Sun Dec 8 201319:51Keenan Allen overcomes injury scare for 2 TDs
Keenan Allen caught three balls for 59 yards and two touchdowns in the Chargers' Week 14 win over the Giants.
Allen sent a scare into fantasy owners with a first-half shoulder injury, but returned to score his second touchdown of the game just plays later from four yards out. Allen's first score was a 43-yard bomb down the right sideline in Giants sometimes-slot CB Terrell Thomas' coverage. Allen simply ran a route too good for Thomas to defend. Allen is on the WR1/2 borderline at this point. You'll want to start him against the Broncos and Raiders the next two weeks.

Sun Dec 1 201320:07Keenan Allen posts 106 yards in loss to CIN
Keenan Allen caught eight passes for 106 yards in San Diego's Week 13 loss to the Bengals, but also lost a fumble.
Allen's fourth-quarter fumble could have been a game killer, but the Bolts forced a turnover of their own just moments later. The cough up was the first of Allen's career. Allen's impressive route running was on display all afternoon. Allen moves exceptionally quick for a player who is so fluid. With four games to go, Allen is on pace for 79 catches, 1,150 yards and four touchdowns. The WR2 will be in the WR1 conversation in 2014.

Keenan Allen (knee) is practicing in full for Week 12.
Allen's Week 11 injury was minor. He's going to be active and starting against the Chiefs. Coming off two slow games, and playing at less than 100 percent against arguably the league's best defense, Allen is on the WR2/3 borderline.

Tue Nov 19 201309:58McCoy says Keenan Allen will be playing
Coach Mike McCoy said Keenan Allen (knee) "will be playing" in Week 12.
Allen sustained what appears to be a mere hyperextension in the loss at Miami Sunday, missing the final couple drives. "He's fine," McCoy said. "He'll be playing, which is great." Allen has cooled off over the last two weeks, totaling just seven catches for 86 yards with no touchdowns. Still, he's the No. 1 wideout in a very effective passing game.

Mon Nov 18 201316:56Chargers insist Keenan Allen (knee) is 'fine'
Speaking Monday, Chargers coach Mike McCoy said Keenan Allen (knee) is "fine."
"He'll be fine," McCoy reiterated. It appears Allen escaped with a mere hyperextension in Sunday's loss to the Dolphins, and can be tentatively expected to suit up for Week 12. That being said, a coach saying a player is "fine" isn't akin to guaranteeing he'll be ready to go. Allen's status still warrants monitoring, but fantasy owners have likely dodged a bullet.

Sun Nov 17 201319:00Keenan Allen leaves with apparent knee injury
Keenan Allen left Sunday's Week 11 loss at Miami in the second half with an apparent right knee injury.
Allen wasn't much of a factor even before leaving, catching three passes for 45 yards on six targets. But Philip Rivers certainly missed him late as his No. 1 receiver was spotted on the sideline with an ice bag on his knee. The silver lining is that it was the torn PCL in his left knee that torpedoed Allen's draft stock back in April. For now, we'll consider him day to day.

Sun Nov 10 201320:11Keenan Allen has four-catch afternoon
Keenan Allen caught four passes for 41 yards in San Diego's Week 10 loss to the Broncos.
Allen was targeted only five times on an afternoon where the Broncos wrapped him up well. The sub-five catch effort was just his second in his past six games, while the yards were his fewest since Week 2. Slow games always stick out more for players without lengthy track records, but that's all today was: A slow game. Allen will be a high-end WR2 against the Dolphins in Week 11.

Sun Nov 3 201316:38Keenan Allen at it again with 128 yards, TD
Keenan Allen caught eight passes for 128 yards with a touchdown in Sunday's 30-24 Week 9 overtime loss at Washington.
Allen had a rough start to the day, dropping two passes and failing to fight for a 50-50 ball that ended up intercepted. But Philip Rivers stuck with his impressive rookie and was rewarded handsomely. Allen consistently embarrassed fellow rookie David Amerson with jukes and double moves, leading to his third 100-yard game in the last four weeks. He's now on pace for 68 catches, 1,054 yards and six touchdowns. As the clear-cut No. 1 wideout for the Chargers, expect Allen to finish with better numbers than that.

Fri Nov 1 201320:58Chargers veterans are loving Keenan Allen
Keenan Allen has drawn the admiration of Chargers veterans for his quick ascension into a featured offensive role.
"I knew he was good, but I've never seen this," said future HOFer Antonio Gates. "I didn't think it would evolve this fast. He is making plays in the game, and I'm like, 'Wow.' ... The boy can play football, and he can get open." Added Philip Rivers, "I say this: It's been impressive what he's done, but he can be even better." Lock in Allen as a Week 9 WR2 against the Redskins.

Sun Oct 20 201316:02Keenan Allen held to 67 yards in Week 7
Keenan Allen caught three passes for 67 yards in the Chargers' Week 7 win over Jacksonville.
Allen missed a chunk of snaps with an undisclosed injury, but returned. The Bolts didn't need him to be involved in the passing game in the second half because they were stomping the Jaguars. Continue to view Allen as a WR3 with WR2 weekly upside moving forward. San Diego has a Week 8 bye.

Mon Oct 14 201323:39Chargers win FG contest; Keenan Allen shines
Keenan Allen caught nine passes for 107 yards and one touchdown in San Diego's Week 6, 19-9 win over the Colts on Monday night.
The rookie was targeted a game-high 12 times and did most of his damage in the first half. The Chargers resorted to running the ball and kicking field goals in the second half to keep Andrew Luck and the Indianapolis offense off the field. A week after posting a 6-115-1 line against Oakland, Allen whipped the Colts' defensive backs with ease, especially on a second-quarter drive that ended with Allen securing a 22-yard touchdown. He beat Vontae Davis and Delano Howell in double-coverage to make a diving grab in the back of the end zone. Howell was completely out of position on the play. Allen has emerged as Philip Rivers' new go-to guy in the passing game and is a legit WR3 in what is typically a pass-first offense. The 3-3 Chargers have a dream matchup in Jacksonville next week.

Mon Oct 7 201303:56Keenan Allen posts 6/115/1 line in Week 5
Keenan Allen caught six passes for 115 yards and one touchdown and got a majority of snaps on the outside in two-wide sets in Sunday night's Week 5 loss to Oakland.
Allen continues to play the outside in two-wide sets and is a legitimate red-zone threat, scoring his touchdown from eight yards out. He was targeted nine times by Phillip Rivers and has now put together two straight weeks of at least five receptions and 80 yards receiving. Allen is still no higher than the No. 4 option in the passing game and got all of his yardage in the second half with the Chargers playing from behind. He's worth a look as a WR4 flier in deeper fantasy leagues.
