Sun Sep 29 201320:33Keenan Allen has five-catch day vs. Dallas
Keenan Allen caught five passes for 80 yards in San Diego's Week 4 win over the Cowboys.
The five grabs more than doubled Allen's previous season total, as did the 80 yards. He got the better of Cowboys CB Morris Claiborne. The highlight of Allen's afternoon was a leaping 31-yard grab in the first quarter. A 4.65-type player, Allen is going to remain inconsistent as he fills in for Malcom Floyd on the outside, but he's worth a stash in Dynasty leagues.

Tue Sep 10 201318:37Keenan Allen doesn't play single snap
Rookie WR Keenan Allen was active for San Diego's Monday loss to the Texans, but didn't play a snap.
Malcom Floyd, Eddie Royal and Vincent Brown were all credited with "starts" as the Bolts opened in a three-wide set, and were the only receivers to draw targets. Allen caught just six passes for 48 yards in the preseason. The third-round pick is well off the re-draft radar.

Sun Aug 25 201301:49Keenan Allen picks up two catches
Chargers third-round WR Keenan Allen caught two passes for eight yards in Saturday's preseason game against the Cardinals.
With Malcom Floyd and Eddie Royal sidelined, Allen started opposite Vincent Brown and was moved into the slot in three-wide sets. He added a 44 yard punt return that he nearly broke for a touchdown, but was otherwise held in check by the Cardinals. Allen now has six receptions for 48 yards through three preseason games.

Thu Aug 15 201322:20Keenan Allen reels in two passes Thursday
Chargers third-round WR Keenan Allen caught two passes for 27 yards in Thursday night's preseason game against the Bears.
Allen was targeted three times, and that misconnection resulted in a Philip Rivers interception. Allen started the game opposite Vincent Brown with Malcom Floyd out, and he got his feet tangled with Tim Jennings on a post route over the middle. He fell down, and Chris Conte picked off Rivers. Allen's two catches came from Charlie Whitehurst. He'll be San Diego's No. 4 receiver in 2013.

Wed Aug 14 201318:35Keenan Allen practices in full on Wednesday
Chargers WR Keenan Allen (knee) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice.
Allen couldn't make it through Tuesday's practice, but his departure was just a precaution. It's certainly concerning that Allen is having issues with his surgically-repaired left knee - which gave him fits during his draft prep - but for now it's nothing he can't play through.

Tue Aug 13 201319:00Keenan Allen getting treatment on left knee
Chargers rookie WR Keenan Allen has been receiving treatment on his surgically-repaired left knee.
He couldn't make it through Tuesday's practice. It's the same knee that cut short Allen's senior year at Cal. The Chargers are insisting it's just a precaution, but it's a concern after Allen took unusually long to get healthy this offseason. With Danario Alexander lost for the season and Malcom Floyd unlikely for Week 1, it goes without saying that the Bolts can't lose another receiver.

Fri Aug 9 201312:19Keenan Allen makes two catches in opener
Chargers rookier WR Keenan Allen caught two passes for 13 yards in Thursday's preseason opener.
Allen was targeted a third time, but diving, he couldn't corral an errant throw from Checkdown Charlie Whitehurst. The pass was picked off. If nothing else, Allen appeared to be moving smoothly. He didn't do anything to hurt or improve his standing as the No. 4 receiver.

Thu Aug 8 201315:27Keenan Allen having up-and-down camp
According to the Union-Tribune San Diego, rookie WR Keenan Allen is having an up-and-down training camp.
Allen's reps have increased due to Danario Alexander's ACL tear, but his play still has a ways to go. Per columnist Tom Krasovic, "Sometimes, (Allen) asserts himself. Other times, he looks uncertain." Allen has practiced every day in camp, but is treading water as San Diego's No. 4 wideout entering the preseason.

Wed Aug 7 201319:00Keenan Allen mixed in with 1st-team offense
Rookie WR Keenan Allen mixed in with the first-team offense during the Chargers' first practice without Danario Alexander (torn ACL).
Vincent Brown (hamstring) was rested for some reps, and Allen benefited by working with the ones opposite Malcom Floyd and Eddie Royal. Brown is out for San Diego's preseason opener, so Allen should get opportunities to play with the Philip Rivers group in three-wideout sets. He's the No. 4 receiver right now.

Tue Aug 6 201319:59McCoy: Keenan Allen has a 'long way to go'
Chargers coach Mike McCoy recently told the team website rookie WR Keenan Allen has "a long ways to go."
Other than these quotes, Allen has had such a quiet camp that he hasn't so much as warranted a Rotoworld blurb since June 25. "He's got a lot to learn," said McCoy. "He's got a long ways to go and he'll be the first one to tell you that." McCoy did praise Allen's work ethic and says he's "competing." After Danario Alexander's ACL tear, Allen is a player to monitor this preseason.

Tue Jun 25 201312:19Keenan Allen doesn't want to wait
Chargers third-round WR Keenan Allen insists he wants to be a starter come Week 1.
Allen doesn't sound very patient for a rookie currently fourth on the depth chart. "I want to be a starter," he said. "I don't want to watch. I want to be part of the moment. I don't want to watch it." It's the right attitude for a hungry rookie, but he'll likely need an injury to Danario Alexander, Malcom Floyd or Vincent Brown to have an early-season impact.

Sun Jun 2 201309:35Keenan Allen still not 100 percent?
The National Football Post's Dan Pompei reports that Chargers third-round WR Keenan Allen (knee) still isn't 100 percent healthy.
Allen tore his left PCL last October. He was a full participant at rookie minicamp early last month, so if he isn't 100 percent then he's awfully close to it. Allen ran a 4.77 forty at the Combine, and that contributed to his slide down the draft board. The Chargers reportedly think his tape says he plays at 4.55 speed. Allen will challenge for snaps immediately as a rookie.

Fri May 10 201315:07Keenan Allen practicing fully @ Chargers camp
Third-round WR Keenan Allen (knee) was a full participant as the Chargers opened rookie minicamp Friday.
Allen tore his left PCL last October and was extraordinarily slow to recover. He was only 90 percent as of late April, which likely contributed to Allen's draft-day slide. Apparently, he's healthy know. We'll form a stronger opinion about Allen's rookie-year fantasy outlook once we see him in preseason action.
