Tue Jul 26 201121:49Jags steal MLB Paul Posluszny from Bills
NFL Network's Jason LaConfora and the Florida Times-Union report the Jaguars have agreed to terms with MLB Paul Posluszny on a six-year contract.
The Bills "fought hard" to keep Poz, but he wanted to get back to a 4-3 defense. A now-aggressive Jacksonville front office budgeted for big signings at middle linebacker and safety, and they just reeled in one of their big fish. Posluszny figures to regain IDP stud status if he can stay healthy. Kirk Morrison will have to move to the weak side if he re-signs with the Jags.

Tue Jul 26 201119:32Report: Jaguars pursuing LB Posluszny
NFL Network's Jason LaCanfora reports the Jaguars are targeting free agent LB Paul Posluszy.
The Jaguars have budgeted for a free agent signing at linebacker at safety, and Posluszy fits their profile of a young player with room for improvement. The Jags will likely get competition from the Bills and perhaps the Giants. LaCanfora confirms Eric Weddle and Dawan Landry are on Jacksonville's radar at safety.

Mon Jul 11 201119:25Posluszny would consider signing w/ Giants
Free agent LB Paul Posluszny says he would "definitely" consider signing with the Giants because of his connection to DC Perry Fewell.
"I love Coach Fewell and the type of defense that he ran when we were in Buffalo, you know, had a good relationship together," said Posluszny. Poz's priority is to re-sign with the Bills, but they're not going to get him back on the cheap. In New York, Posluszny could be an upgrade over Jonathan Goff in the middle.

Sun Jul 10 201118:54Posluszny wants to re-sign with Bills
Free agent LB Paul Posluszny tells NFL.com that he wants to return to Buffalo this summer.
The Bills have made it clear that re-signing their top linebacker will be a priority, but we hadn't heard from Poz since last November when he expressed a desire to return. Posluszy should have plenty of interested suitors, so the Bills will have to shell out more than $5 million per season.

Mon Jun 27 201114:16Paul Posluszny could end up with Giants?
ESPN NFC East blogger Dan Graziano says he's "heard the Giants connected ... a lot" to free agent ILB Paul Posluszny.
Retaining Posluszny is expected to be Buffalo's top free agent priority, but the allure of playing for a contender -- even if it costs him some money -- could be very tempting for the four-year Bill. Graziano predicts that Barrett Ruud will end up with the Giants, but admits it's a "prediction that means nothing." Posluszny should have a much better market than Ruud.

Mon Jun 27 201110:22Posluszny a priority for Bills
The Bills' top priority is re-signing free agent ILB Paul Posluszny, according to Pro Football Weekly.
Posluszny is a four-year veteran that must be retained as the leader of the Bills' defense. He averaged 10.7 tackles per game last season and added two sacks. "Poz" will likely command at least $5 million per year in an extension.

Tue Mar 1 201113:58Bills extend tenders to Poz, Whitner
Bills extended restricted free agent tenders to ILB Paul Posluszny, S Donte Whitner, and TE Scott Chandler.
Poz is a four-year veteran while Whitner has accrued five seasons. Both will likely reach unrestricted free agency under the next CBA. The Bills have expressed interest in bringing back Poz, though Whitner is expected to find a new home.

Thu Feb 24 201113:20Gailey wants to re-sign Posluszny
Bills coach Chan Gailey said Thursday that the team will "definitely" try to re-sign free agent ILB Paul Posluszny.
"Poz" only has four accrued seasons, so the Bills could slap him with a restricted free agent tender in hopes it sticks. Most likely it wouldn't after a new CBA is finalized, but it would at least give Buffalo some protection. Otherwise, Posluszny could command over $5 million a year on an extension.

Fri Nov 26 201010:23Posluszny wants to stay in Buffalo in 2011
Impending free agent Paul Posluszny made it clear this week that he wants to stay in Buffalo beyond 2010.
"That sounds like a great plan to me," Posluszny said. "As long as they want me around, I want to be here." The Bills need to decide on a firm plan of attack for fixing their bottom-five defense, but Posluszny is certainly part of the solution. He's racked up double-digit tackles in four straight games.

Tue Oct 26 201021:03Paul Posluszny moves to weak side
With the Bills' switch to a 4-3 defense, Paul Posluszny is now playing weak-side linebacker.
Full-blown in-season scheme changes are extremely rare, and this one reeks of desperation by an 0-6 team. Posluszny has at least picked up his IDP production with 30 tackles over his last three games. Andra Davis, the new starting middle linebacker, had six tackles but only five solo in Week 7. Not a good fit for the 4-3, Aaron Maybin was a healthy scratch.
Sat Oct 2 201014:03Posluszny looks to start Week 4 against Jets
Bills ILB Paul Posluszny (knee) is expected to start Sunday in Week 4 against the Jets after missing the last two games.
Posluszny will be a great play against a Jets team that is sure to pound the ball early and often. The Bills' run defense gets a nice upgrade, but his presence alone won't be enough to change your opinion on opposing running backs.

Mon Sep 27 201016:23Posluszny to play in Week 3
Bills coach Chan Gailey confirmed Monday that he anticipates ILB Paul Posluszny (MCL sprain) to play in Week 3.
Posluszny has been out since the opener. His return bodes well for the Bills' run defense, although it's going to remain a favorable matchup either way for opposing running backs. Posluszny can be reinserted into IDP lineups.

Sun Sep 19 201012:08Posluszny out for Bills, as expected
Bills declared LB Paul Posluszny (knee) inactive for Sunday's game against the Packers, as expected.
The loss of Posluszny upgrades Jermichael Finley's matchup slightly. Otherwise, the Bills are surprisingly healthy after being one of the most banged up teams in the league last year. Other inactives: Third QB Brian Brohm, T Ed Wang, G Kraig Urbik, DE Alex Carrington, DE John McCargo, LB Antonio Coleman and S Cary Harris.
Mon Sep 13 201014:40Bills lose top ILB Posluszny to sprained MCL
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Bills ILB Paul Posluszny's knee injury is a sprained MCL.
The Bills are hopeful Posluszny will be back in two weeks. "Poz" is easily Buffalo's top linebacker in run defense, so his loss will be another plus for Brandon Jackson's Week 2 matchup. With usual No. 3 inside 'backer Kawika Mitchell on I.R., the Bills will have to pick from undersized special teamer Keith Ellison and late-round rookie Arthur Moats as Andra Davis' running mate.

Mon Sep 13 201013:09Posluszny expected to miss "about two weeks"
Bills GM Buddy Nix expects ILB Paul Posluszny to miss "about two weeks" with a knee injury.
"We dodged a bullet there," said Nix. "It's not a season ending injury. He won't need surgery. It'll be about two weeks." Posluszny's IDP owners can breathe easier. It sounds like he'll miss road games against the Packers and Patriots but could be ready for the Jets in Week 4.

Sun Sep 12 201020:16Gailey hoping Posluszny's injury is minor
Though oach Chan Gailey is hoping that Paul Posluszny's right knee injury is "short-term," he's not ruling out the possibility of it being major.
Posluszny was able to jog off the field after staying down for a couple of minutes, but he never re-entered the game. He's expected to undergo further testing on Monday to determine the severity. With Kawika Mitchell out for the season and Reggie Torbor also sidelined, the Bills once again find themselves short on capable linebackers.

Sun Sep 12 201015:23Posluszny done for the day with knee injury
Bills ILB Paul Posluszny is done of the day with a knee injury.
Posluszny left in the third quarter. The severity of the injury is unknown. It's obviously a major story for IDP leaguers, so we'll keep tabs on his status.

Mon Aug 9 201014:50Posluszy returns to limited practice
Bills ILB Paul Posluszny (groin surgery) returned to a limited practice Monday.
Posluszy was hoping to return within two weeks, so his handful reps in 7-on-7 drills is a good sign. He's on track for a return to full health well before the season opener.

Thu Aug 5 201022:08Posluszny hopes to return within two weeks
Bills ILB Paul Posluszny (groin surgery) hopes to be back at practice within two weeks.
Posluszny has been working off to the side with the strength and conditioning coordinators. "I feel really good but we're going to take it slow, no reason to rush just yet," said Posluszny. We'd like to see him in action by the third exhibition game. All indications are that he'll be ready for the opener.
